- Walking South West London in Kingston upon Thames on a hot summer late afternoon. Kingston upon Thames (known as Kingston) is a town in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, South West London, England. Situated on the River Thames, 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Charing Cross, it was historically in the county of Surrey, now part of Greater London.

A very nice comprehensive video - all of the centre without going outside it! (I was thinking, "what about Fairfield," for example, but that isn't the town centre. I had some nostalgic moments for the riverside, but in all I'm not sorry to have left the town after living there for 16 years - it had become overdeveloped and crowded, lost its particular character, and I no longer felt safe. Nice to be reminded of the good bits though.

Viewed this during my 60 min bike workout today WW and loved your video. Always wanted to visit Kingston after visiting Hampton Court but Mum and I were rather tired and wanted to just get home. We are going to be visiting a car show at Hampton Court in early September (and the BBC Gardeners World Autumn show in Essex the day before, plus another car show at Blenheim Palace the day after Hampton Court car show)...so we shall see. We will also be visiting Hampton Court at Christmas for their Winter Fayre (was there last year too), so another opportunity to visit Kingston but I suspect we may not have the energy at night!
Loved the riverside walk towards the end and in many ways reminded me of certain parts of the Vancouver seawall walk around what's known as False Creek. Oh and we have a Bentall shopping centre in Vancouver too, right downtown! Exact same name. Bear in mind also that Kingston UK is in the county of Surrey...and one of Vancouver's suburbs is called Surrey! Co-incidentally, we also have a Richmond as part of greater Vancouver. Many Asians like to live there as it sounds like Rich Man.
Loved the market square of Kingston and I noticed an Anthropologie store there. I've visited the same stores around Vancouver as well as south of the border in the USA (Seattle and Portland). Very different architecture to the stores over here which are wonderfully historic buildings. Anyhow, Thank you for all your work and talk again soon!

So how cold is London from a 1 to 10 during December? With 10 being super cold. Been to London loads of times for summers. But sooooo want to go at Christmas. I’m not a cold weather type of person or traveler but London looks magical at Christmas 😍
7. London is not as cold as New York in winter and there is no snow but the air is humid so 4 degrees Celsius feels like minus 3.
