I haven't completely figured it out yet, and where she starts to touch the mirror but then abruptly pulls her hand away. I think it's perhaps her emerging as a new person and doesn't want to go back to her previous identity. Then covers it up so she can be just herself. Just my take on it.
It's amazing that this song has already had an impact on a family who is facing a very similar situation. I just happened to show the video to a friend and co-worker. The next day she asked me to explain the meaning behind the video, then asked me to send her the video link. Later on that same day after I had sent her the link, I asked her if she enjoyed the video. Her somewhat heavy-hearted response was that she loved the video, but she wanted the video and back story so she could share it with a very close friend whose family is confronting this same situation with their child, and she is hoping to help them through the use of the story and Jackie's video. This simply blows me away! Hopefully there will be some updates to follow.

Yes, Jackies classical songs are truly unfrogettable. But she can sing great in all kinds of genres now. When you have a singer that is so versatile she can sing almost anything great, you dont confine them to only one genre.

She is very popular, although with a smaller following than say (hate to mention the names) but Justin Beiber and Miley Virus. She's doing just fine now and is where she wants to be. Barbora Daňková I agree Barbora. She is fantastic singing Classical music. But her career is going nowhere right now and the only thing to save it is to go pop, which she will not succeed at. Reason being is she doesn't have the voice to record pop music. She will ruin her voice and besides, pop artist are a dime a dozen. Nothing special about that.
Brad Knipp I disagree with the idea that the only way to save her career is to sing pop. As you said, they are a dime a dozen and I doubt people will pay much notice to her as she sings pop because she will just be, as implied, just another girl who sings pop covers. I think one problem is that she does not get much coverage. When she first started she was well known because she showed up on all these talk shows, performing her songs. Her PBS special, dream with me, also got a lot of coverage and was easier to access. On the other hand, Awakening, I felt did not get much coverage at all. It was very hard for me to find it on PBS and it took A LONG TIME for the DVD to come out. Furthermore, the singles she releases lately seem to be pop songs, which, quite honestly, most of her original fans do not prefer. I think she needs to release an album that is solely CC, arias, etc, something that her voice is famous for. Awakening had some of that, but only some, it did not make the concert overall that appealing. We always recommend her dream with me concert because that was her best one because she sang songs for her voice. Understandably, she can't make a lot of albums because she is busy with school and tours, but if she wants to respark her notoriety, I believe she needs to sing more of the classics, and avoid pop covers. Long opinion done lol
All in all I agree. Her age is clearly a factor. Jackie wants to experience her teenage years and can't blame her for that. It is selfish for many of her fans to want a album from her every year, not possible if she wants to spend half of her time at home. When she makes a new album, I would love for her to, as bonus tracks, record Nella Fantasia, Ombra Mai Fu, O Mio Babbino Caro and Pie Jesu again. That would be a treat!
Brad Knipp I have a feeling that someday Jackie is going to do just what you suggested...redo some of her classical pieces with her older voice. She still performs _Ombra Mai Fu_ at every concert, and always finishes her shows with _The Lord's Prayer_. She sang _Nessun Dorma_ last week at a David Foster gig in Malaysia. And sometimes she does OMBC. On the album *Awakening*, she does two classical pieces, Rachmaninoff's _Vocalise_ and Caccini's _Ave Maria_. Both of these are available on UA-cam as well. So Jackie has not abandoned classical music. Yesterday she said she's beginning to work on a new album, so hopefully that will also feature a variety of genres.

Her voice is breathtakingly beautiful, & she's preternaturally good at conveying emotions, even those she's never had. So she usually causes goosebumps & tears in her audiences.
You should at this and her phenomena from point of probability. There are many women who can sing with higher tonal voice ( 10 thousand ) and also whose voice is pretty as this, would be about, another thousands out there. And then, 100 ladies who are as good as her capacity, but they are not discovered. And only few dozens who are young and can exude such personality, but chose different lifestyle. And she happens to be with luck and persistence to be what she is now. She could be just like one of five who is lucky to be found, in actuality included that all those qualities in one.

From her debut performances of Puccini, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Francesco Sartori to her crossover into pop, this young lady draws deep into an emotional conduit that can not be described. When I saw Ms. Evancho perform Puccini's Nessum Dorma I realized I was experiencing history.

She is very popular, although with a smaller following than say (hate to mention the names) but Justin Beiber and Miley Virus. She's doing just fine now and is where she wants to be. Barbora Daňková I agree Barbora. She is fantastic singing Classical music. But her career is going nowhere right now and the only thing to save it is to go pop, which she will not succeed at. Reason being is she doesn't have the voice to record pop music. She will ruin her voice and besides, pop artist are a dime a dozen. Nothing special about that.
Brad Knipp I disagree with the idea that the only way to save her career is to sing pop. As you said, they are a dime a dozen and I doubt people will pay much notice to her as she sings pop because she will just be, as implied, just another girl who sings pop covers. I think one problem is that she does not get much coverage. When she first started she was well known because she showed up on all these talk shows, performing her songs. Her PBS special, dream with me, also got a lot of coverage and was easier to access. On the other hand, Awakening, I felt did not get much coverage at all. It was very hard for me to find it on PBS and it took A LONG TIME for the DVD to come out. Furthermore, the singles she releases lately seem to be pop songs, which, quite honestly, most of her original fans do not prefer. I think she needs to release an album that is solely CC, arias, etc, something that her voice is famous for. Awakening had some of that, but only some, it did not make the concert overall that appealing. We always recommend her dream with me concert because that was her best one because she sang songs for her voice. Understandably, she can't make a lot of albums because she is busy with school and tours, but if she wants to respark her notoriety, I believe she needs to sing more of the classics, and avoid pop covers. Long opinion done lol
All in all I agree. Her age is clearly a factor. Jackie wants to experience her teenage years and can't blame her for that. It is selfish for many of her fans to want a album from her every year, not possible if she wants to spend half of her time at home. When she makes a new album, I would love for her to, as bonus tracks, record Nella Fantasia, Ombra Mai Fu, O Mio Babbino Caro and Pie Jesu again. That would be a treat!
Brad Knipp I have a feeling that someday Jackie is going to do just what you suggested...redo some of her classical pieces with her older voice. She still performs _Ombra Mai Fu_ at every concert, and always finishes her shows with _The Lord's Prayer_. She sang _Nessun Dorma_ last week at a David Foster gig in Malaysia. And sometimes she does OMBC. On the album *Awakening*, she does two classical pieces, Rachmaninoff's _Vocalise_ and Caccini's _Ave Maria_. Both of these are available on UA-cam as well. So Jackie has not abandoned classical music. Yesterday she said she's beginning to work on a new album, so hopefully that will also feature a variety of genres.

To those who say that Jackie is losing Christian fans, I'm sure she'll gain compassionate religious and non-religious fans, so it's a positive.. maybe even a much-needed weeding out of so-called fans who will turn on her like rabid dogs the moment she says or does something they don't agree with. These are the same people who deified Jackie (against her parents' wishes) by calling her a "gift from God" when she emerged as an artist. And then, 100 ladies who are as good as her capacity, but they are not discovered. And only few dozens who are young and can exude such personality, but chose different lifestyle. And she happens to be with luck and persistence to be what she is now. She could be just like one of five who is lucky to be found, in actuality included that all those qualities in one.

When I first heard about Juliet, I was so extremely happy for her. It is a big change, but when there is change happening, you need to have faith and love. Everything will work out in the end, and if it doesn't, it's not the end. Jackie is so graceful, talented, and strong. She's only 15 too. Everyone has a story.
