I know this is really old, but I still use it and maybe someone else is. If you've reset this machine or it's your first time using it, you will need to change the port for sure if using gmail. Also, you must setup the DNS for this machine to send the mail. Those steps are easy enough to Google.
Hi there, I see you used a gmail account for testing. Do you not have to put in the DNS IP address? and does it have to be a local DNS to be able to resolve?
this isnt working for me, using OUTLOOK via godaddy and its sending but not going through.. have to cancel each time after a while of waiting.. any tips?
Have image runner C5235a. Just change to ATT internet porivder. Email scan function wont work now. NO one at Cannon can seem to help and want o charge $200 per hour to assist me. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Press the Settings/Registration, quickly followed by 2 & 8 simultanously, then Settings/Registration again. •Choose Mode list •Choose copier •Choose option •Choose Network •Press . It should change to •Change the value on SMTPTXPN from 25 to 26. Press Reset to back out of the menu. Had to use the IP because Canon copiers won't take more than 48 characters. Setup the relay on Office 365 with the static IP of office. Still wouldn't work. Canons are very frustrating. They offer no logs whatsoever and nothing beyond "NG" for no good. Have to now call the vendor for assistance, and they never get back to us.
