One of my favorite things about this is how safety conscious you are. Truly is great to know the steps of being able to tackle a large task by yourself, but getting that advice on how to do it safely!
I'll definitely continue to watch. Got me pumped to do one of my own!

Loved your video !! This is exactly what I'm going to do to my patio. Im going to put up Bamboo shades inside for privacy and for esthetics . Also so I can open them to let a breeze in if I want to on a hot day. Keep up the good work on your videos. This video really helped me out a lot !!!

Question, I love your build, I was wondering why didn't you tie the new portion of deck planks into the existing deck or replace the deck planks with longer ones that would have one uniform look, rather than a cut off at the old deck, or attach the planking like flooring with staggered seams.

Hello 👋🏼 I wanted to do, but my friend said that this was just fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If it was my house, I would’ve done exactly as you said. 👍🏼

Pro would have suggested remove all boards and change as theres no point having the pergola outlast the rotting deck. 😂. If not then remove all boards and tape membrane on old joist.

The videos does not sho how you fastened the boards that make up the grid patter. Did you toe nail those in or are you using joist hangers?

Hi great job for building the pergola all by yourself. What is the name of the program you used to draw the pergola 3D.

NOT MUCH SUPPORT ON THE 1X2 PIECES AND THE WHOLE ROOF DECK WILL NOT LAST 6 MONTHS. VERY RISKY..

Love how every everyone criticizes the guy he did an amazing job! I build decks for a living myself I will never ever say anything bad about anyone's work everyone has their own way like myself he did this by himself and yes it will last more than 6 months if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all
