This is an awesome video. I followed it and had success. Now my truck runs perfectly again. Very grateful. Only thing-and this is very, very important-is that most 24mm deep sockets are not deep enough to engage the head of this valve. I initially bought a 24mm deep socket, but found out that it did not work. I drove around to 3 different stores. Eventually I found a 15/16 deep socket that sorta fit. I wish that I had brought the part with me when I went to buy my 24mm socket.
I realize this was a while ago, but figured I’d ask as I’m having similar issues. Was your check engine light on prior to fixing the relief valve? And would it go away once the truck was running? Having similar issues here. Thank you!
Thanks for the video. Because of your video (and others) I replaced both FCA and PRV. Discovered my Air intake horn was cracked at the mount, so replaced that. So I picked up that boost leak pressure tester and found I hadn’t sealed the new air intake good enough and the hose connecting to intercooler was leaking. Should have things wrapped up soon, to see if fixes the hard start / no start issues. Next I’ll look at cleanings injectors with Seafoam in the fuel canister, then using Hot Shot Stiction in the oil. Interesting side story, a mechanic mistakenly used silicon spray instead of starter fluid in the turbo and it started.
What I’m wondering have a bad misfire and don’t suspect injectors only because it ran completely fine one day then next it was missing and acting sluggish

Super clean truck
Thanks!
Did you have to remove any bolts to allow you to move the fuel line away from the pressure relief valve ?

CEL was not on
Great video! And good looking truck. Did replacing both solve your problem? Thanks for your reply
Thanks. Yes it did, but I still feel there is a little lack of power. I just bought a boost leak kit, so I will be using that soon.

How many miles per gallon do you get in this truck ???
Usually 20-22 mpg
did you have to prime the injectors or anything after install? or just turn the key and crank it over
Just turned the ignition on a few times then start the engine.
These are pretty easy to prime
What if there’s diesel in the relief valve?
Is that the turbo pressure relief valve?
where did you get the bosch prv?
I now have an Amazon link in the description of this video for a OEM Cummins PRV.
Do you know where I can get a new banjo bolt and washers?
I did exactly what you said not to do and lost a washer!!!

Very rare to see your rpm gauge working properly
My tachometer has always worked correctly and have not heard of the tach being an issue/not working on other Ram 2500’s.
Mine dont work , lol😂
