i think the problem is you did eternity first. This mod like you said looks and feels like a DLC but eternity looks and feels like a mod made specifically for people who find enraged EOL as challenging as king slime
*Your editing just gets better and better, it's insane!* Yeah, going from Fargo's Souls to Thorium it's a ridiculous change of difficulty, I love how Thorium captures Terraria's essence, it's like the perfect mod for new players who're playing mods for the 1st time. I also needed to use the Nurse because JESUS CHRIST, the Primordials fight it's really unnecessarily long, I suggest using The Litch's accessories called "Spirit Band" & "Phylactery", one makes it so the damage you receive doesn't go above 150 damage and the other one revives you with 25% life, REALLY useful for that fight. p.s. I'm excited to see your Infernum playthrough, and yeah some Minecraft mods could be fun to see, also maybe in the future (idk when) you could try Mod of Redemption, it's another mod that's really well balanced and the weapons are beautiful and fun to use.
Primordials are currently not balanced for Master mode, a lot of players complain about their difficulty and so I wouldn't be surprised if their health pool was lowered next update
I think thorium and calamity just accomplish very different feels for the mods. calamity is a lot more grand and with mods like infurnium it feels like a completely new game. Meanwhile I think what thorium does great is keep the vanilla feel while adding a lot of new content. I've played both and both were a lot of fun my only big complaint with thorium is I feel like a lot of bosses especially early on rely on minions but it didn't take away from the fun. Also the classes in thorium definitely encourage team play so if you plan to play it I'd highly recommend getting a friend or two to play with you.
Maybe you should check out the stars above mod; could make for an awesome movie length vid. Luv the thorium play through, excited to see you play bard!
Hey man not a big terraria fan or player but I really appreciate you going through every little thing once you came across it. @@valentino9639 Basically after you beat skelletron, you just get random items and use those to get weapons, I think there is a setting to get these faster I think. Also you can always change the damage type but it does get a 10% damage reduction
My only gripe with thorium is the introduction of big instruments to the bard class because some are brain dead easy to play like the wind and brass ones but the string and drums are way too hard to keep tempo mid combat when the beat feels so weird
I like how this mod doesn't feel like a new master or hardmode. I can see why people like to consider it more of a dlc/addition to the regular game play loop. I always wanted to like calamity or make an attempt at fargo's mod, just they look way too hard too me. Don't get me wrong tho, the bits of the mods i did play I loved quite alot, just I never could get far in them to really experience them. So I'm glad I got to see you play through them and I prob will give Thorium a play through aswell next time I get a co-op going.

Really liked Thorium but it just doesn't spark that want to replay a mod like something like Calamity does. Its a great mod, but I play mods for the over the top bosses and crazy difficulty that you dont find in vanilla terraria. It just felt TO much like vanilla terraria for me to hold interest after I completed my first run. Overall 7/10 mod

I recently did a playthrough with some friends that included Thorium, Calamity, and Stars Above. I did mage. After we defeated The Primordials, I could do over 20k dps to Planterra with the Devil's Claws
Just to let you know, the worm enemy during the solar pillar can’t attack you if you are standing on the ground (not sure if platforms are included). I am just noticing lots of other people try flying or running from it
THe stars being plentiful at the start is actually vanilla, you got the starry night mini event, as you can see the twinly stars in the back, this quadruples the star fall rate and garrantees the triple drop in the same place
Thorium si one of those mods that are not as insane as Calamity but somewhat meets the requirements to be a somewhat vanilla like mod, ngl I does feel like a dlc rather than a mod
