- Detailed step by step how to for installing front and rear basket racks on a 2022 Honda Foreman 520 4x4. Racks are made by Strong Made manufacturing and are completely bolt on with NO drilling necessary. This particular set is a 1/2 drop meaning the rear rack has a slight drop in the rear, allowing for more storage/carrying space without a loss in clearance.

I put some GuideGear baskets on my Cat, I did not like the drop down rear basket, so I sold that and found another front basket on a online auction site and put that on my back rack. Your is looking great
Yes. My old bike had that full drop. It got in the way more often then not. I struggled going between half drop and flat rack. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Looks like my 2009 Honda,i just installed a front & rear rack.
Awesome. Racks for me are a must. They always come in handy. Thanks for watching and commenting
Can you fit a regular 5 gallon plastic bucket in the drop of the back basket?
I’m not around the bike today. But will have a definitive answer for you tomorrow. I have a small swinger style ice chest that fits and chainsaw case. So I’m imagining the bucket will fit. But I don’t want to speak without certainty. Thanks for watching and asking
Confirmed. A 5 gallon bucket can indeed fit in the rear basket drop down section.
@@A.L.B.O.E.SouthernHomestead thanks..ordering today. Hopefully strong made sends you a tip
@@CentralMississippiWhitetail that would be nice.
I have another question for you this time it's about the rear rack you have. I spent a pretty penny to have a reverse light and it's pretty bright. Question is with this same rack do you think empty i would still get light through the mesh or is there tubing blocking much of that? I know the flat one is out of the way but it sure would be nice having the deeper pocket.
With the rack I have shown here. The light can still be seen through the mesh and below the rack. And you can still access the little rear storage container right below the light. Hope that helps.
@@A.L.B.O.E.SouthernHomestead yes that's what I was wanting to know the reverse light is in the exact position as the original brake light.
Great video! Do you like half drop rack after using it? Have you run into any issues? I’m wondering if you think I could attach a simple backrest (quadboss or yutrax) on top of the rear basket? Do you think that might be possible?
I much prefer the half drop compared to my old bikes full drop. A couple bungie straps keep everything in place. No issue. I think with the right hardware you could attach the basket to the other basket. I’ve done it before by drilling holes and using a couple bolts with Teflon lock nuts.

Thanks for the video. I’m looking to do the same front and rear baskets for my Honda and add some Kolpin rifle grips up front. You should check out Strong Made’s rear hitch for your bike. Hell of a company. Subscribed from Mississippi. Geaux Tigers
Thank you for watching and commenting. I’ll check out the hitch. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m always looking for quality useful items for making life easier.
Thanks for the sub.

Looks good
Thank you
Muy bien
Thank you
Can you open your rear storage compartment with the half drop basket?
Sure can. Thanks for asking. I didn’t think to mention that.
I wanted to buy the front rack, it looks so good! But it covers the spot were you add coolant. I wonder if you can remove that 1 plate and access it.
There’s two plates in the front rack that can be removed. I never thought about the coolant reservoir. Surely Honda and other manufacturers have thought about it. I’ll have to go look and let you know.
Not sure if you added a winch, but when my winch was installed, the connections and control box were placed in the little front storage area, so its possible you might need to access that as well. @@A.L.B.O.E.SouthernHomestead
I hadn’t added a winch yet. But it’s in my list. Good thing to know. Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated
You could remove the bolts from the plates and add some hinges to them. That way you can keep the functionality of the basket and have quick tool free access to the storage compartment and coolant fill.
How much does that rear rack weigh?
I can’t find any specifics for the weight with the paper work I have or on their website. But definitely under 50lbs total in weight. I was able to manipulate it and move it pretty easily during the install. Hope that helps. Sorry I couldn’t get you a specific number. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
You have Santa Claus in Canada? With 4-WHEELERs?
Canada? I don't know his current address but that accent is from waaaaay down below Canada.
What are the inside dimensions of the front basket?
I’ll get measurement for you this evening. Thanks
34 1/8” x 13 3/16”
@@A.L.B.O.E.SouthernHomestead thanks very much!
What is the height on the front rack?
4.5” exterior height. 3.5” interior height. Hope that’s what you were looking for. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@A.L.B.O.E.SouthernHomestead yes that's it, I've been trying to decide if I want to go with this shorter one because of the convenient removable covers or the older one that measures 6" tall.
@@JohnnyRebLa good deal. I'd be concerned that the older taller one may impair the front beam light on the steering, as compared to the shorter one I have.
That hat has 4 wheels. So that makes it a?
4-WHEELER.

A bike has two wheels. You must be a canuk
Nope. Not Canadian. Guess it’s just a southern US thing to call it a bike. Sorry for the confusion
