I got drunk and had to re-watch this race because I miss unrestricted engines and Jeff Gordon winning. This race here proved that he still got it and is the greatest driver ever

It always amazes me to hear those engines screaming at the end of the front straight @ Michigan. Damn near hitting the limiter and close to 10,000RPM. This track probably puts the most stress on these engines of all the tracks they go-to on the calendar.
Nascar, u guys need to do this every week. This can be our TIVO....great stuff. 24 fans....lets keep riding that wave of good fortune and good cars. #TEAMGORDON
He may not have gotten that 5th Cup, but damn 2014 was a hell of a year. A 5th Brickyard and a few other wins to go around too. It was nice to see Jeff have such a good year and so close to his full season retirement in 2015.
This race just showed the pure speed and horsepower of NASCAR cup cars. Hopefully somehow we can get back to these days soon. I understand the safety side of it, but I think everybody can agree that 2014 was the last year of truly amazing racing.
thank you nascar for posting these not said this yet but my father die last year and i miss the first 3 months of nascar becuase i needed the rest of family and nascar had to take a backseat i was so glad when i was able to come back to watch nascar on here when it started watched for the last few months the races i missed last year and i really cant wait for the new season,,,thank you

@@WastdTrashPanda There wasn't a pack where Bobby Allison crashed into the fence in 1987, which resulted in the restrictor plates being implemented, so it wouldn't matter if there is a pack or not. The main concern about modern-day cars being unrestricted: Will the tires be able to endure such speeds?

It's not that nice when you open the NASCAR channel, looking for the full race uploads but the same guys uploaded the finish video, "spoilering" the ending. At least the titles of the race-finish videos shouldn't blatantly tell who the race winner is. Not everyone watched/streamed the race live, you know. Thanks.
Righteous anger, the way Logano was controlling the restarts was abusive like brake checking to deliberately attempting to make Gordon make a mistake to beat him to the line so he could he black flagged for jumping the restart or slow him up for him to not get a good restart that was Loganos intention to get himself a good distance of a lead into turn 1 so Gordon could not put up much of a challenge for it.
These cars need to have a "panic" button onboard, for situations like the Kyle Larson incident. It takes drivers far too long to take off all the various apparatus in situations of extreme danger. It could end up costing them someday.
Have to realize how much bigger and faster Daytona and Talladega is even over michigan. A lot longer straightaways and a lot longer corners and almost double the banking. Only 18° a banking at Michigan, less than Atlanta and Charlotte. Daytona 31 degrees and Talladega 33

Agreed as much as I love this package, it was definitely hard on engines. But I do think Michigan and Pocono benefit from high horse power

They were closer to that but they will be using aero ducts and tapered spacers. intead of 850 hp (2014), it will be 550 HP.
