I discovered Brutus with the same song. Unison Life is an absolute masterpiece. Every song is great. Immediately one of my all time favorite records. The raw emotion and energy is not easy to find. GREAT band.
Sounds good, always impressed by singing drummers. 🤘 Paulina Villarreal from The Warning is also singing lead while drumming in a few songs. 🤯 (Dust to Dust, 23 or Disciple) I will definitely listen to more songs of Brutus. 👍
Vu au Motocultor l'année dernière... Ce titre m'a mis la larme à l'oeil et la gorgé nouée tant c'était beau... Le titre "Liar" est aussi très très bon.
Ahoj ! Saw Brutus in the last Roadburn festival, it was great; a blasting moment of emotions and sincerity. Loved them since. Since you like live performance and raspy voices, i'd have two suggestions for you Julie Christmas and Caro Tanghe. Incredible singers, both of them. For Julie, check the vid "Cult of Luna& Julie Christmas - Mariner live at De Kreun" with the timecode 17,25. For Caro, "Oathbreaker - 10,56/Second Son of R." Audiotree live. Another absolutely INCREDIBLE singer I found out a few monthes ago is Karina Utomo, from the indonesian band Rinuwat. She's totally insane, I don't know how she produces these sounds. Unfortunately I don't know if there are any lives out there, but their album Dua Naga is on bandcamp. You caould check their song "Arawa", or "Taring Emas". And for Brutus, if one, check a live version of Desert Rain. The one at Pukkelpop has quite a good sound (the timecode can be found in the comments).
Thank you for both recommandations (Julie Christmas and Caro Tanghe), I already noted Caro's name... somewhere... will definitely have an eye (ear?) at them :)
She has such an amazing voice. Never saw them live but i find i enjoy their live recordings more than their studio stuff. Feels like her voice is more raw, emotional, and poweful live. Similar to you I always check out live recordings of new bands so i know if they're only good because of studio edits and mixing.
their last album, Unison Life, is my fifth most played album of all time, and it came out a year ago lmao. easily a top band for me. not a single bad track, man.
Thanks for watching, I actually already listened to most of the songs from that album and it's great, but I would really welcome some recommendations from the other albums :) Thanks!

This summer i discovered them during a live performance and i was blown away. Thanks for the reaction vid.
Thanks for watching! I have a few more reactions to Brutus, so you can go ahead and go through them ;))
Stefanie has such raw energy! an awesome band to check out live! they were just announced to play at Graspop in Belgium !
Righttt? They will also be at Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic, so I'm definitely planning to see them there
Awesome video man, absolutely adore this band
Thank you very much ;))

I recommend Amia Venera Landscape. Italian band that sadly has been quiet for years
