one of their MOST UNDERATED songs ever!!!
Same!!!!!!
Underrated but amazing !!!!!
AGREED
This song is 50 seconds of a really cool riff buried in 7 1/2 minutes of boring
@@maynardsdick nar
This and Outlaw Torn are my favorite off this album 🤘
Same!!!!!!
Same.
I have the lyrics tattooed on my arm.
Agreed!
@@UltraViolent21 sweet 🤘
The most underrated guitar solo ever....sooo good!!!
This is from a 2001 interview with playboy magazine that Metallica did.
"Around the time of Load, I felt I wanted to stop drinking. “Maybe I’m missing out on something. Everyone else seems so happy all the time. I want to get happy.” I’d plan my life around a hangover: “The Misfits are playing in town Friday night, so Saturday is hangover day.” I lost a lot of days in my life. Going to therapy for a year, I learned a lot about myself. There’s a lot of things that scar you when you’re growing up, you don’t know why. The song Bleeding Me is about that: I was trying to bleed out all bad, get the evil out. While I was going through therapy, I discovered some ugly stuff in there. A dark spot." - James Hetfield talking about the meaning of "Bleeding Me"
Load's incredible when you get into it. It's just a different side of an amazing band
this is legit one of metallica's best songs.
Yes , easily a top 10 song in their entire catalog
Hate the song so bad
A lot of people never gave newer Metallica music a fair shake! Now thanks to your generation reacting to it, proves all their music is better than ninety nine percent of the music out there, new and old! Thank you!!
Song saved my life…. Thank you for this🤙
This song was about James's addictions, and how he was the source of everything that was going wrong in his life. Towards the beginning of the song he says "this thorn in my side is from the tree I planted," this monkey that I can't get off my back, I'm the one that put it there.
I don’t think James had ever been that honest in a song before…He didn’t really write about himself until Load. Maybe a couple of times but it was never blatant and intentional like this. This song seems so personal and perhaps that’s why I put it in my top 3 of their career. It’s beautifully written!
Bleeding me and The Outlaw Torn are my 2 favorites from Load
the version with the symphony orchestra is incredible
It's one of the best and his vocals shine
I think s&m as far as reactions go are far more telling
James loves to play this one live…He really puts it all out there when they do it. I feel that this song was James at his most honest lyrically. Kirk just slays on that solo and Lars is definitely on point with his drumming here. I was really looking forward to this as it’s my favorite Metallica song and I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
He's only played it live a couple times....?
@@TomTomTom87164 times is more than a couple…They’ve done it every time I’ve seen them
I remember them playing this in the '90's. James definitely put everything into it. Amazing.
@@TomTomTom87 I think you got some wrong information somewhere. They play this song a lot
Conceptually my favourite Metallica's song. Respect!
The version of this song with the San Francisco Symphony in 1999 is also amazing!
THAT WHOLE ALBUM WAS AMAZING!
This is my all-time favorite Metallica song.
James in a interview said this is one of his favorite to sing
10,000 🌟 🌟 stars. This song is God Tier.
I keep hearing people saying Load n Reload were experiments. I have never thought that, as a hard core metal head I loved these two albums when they came out n still do. One of reasons I love Metallica so much is due to the fact they like changing things up. And Bleeding Me is one of my favorite songs ever.
Never made the same album twice.
Even when it would have gone 20x platinum
I’ve been binging your Metallica reaction videos, and you remind me so much of my younger self when first listening to Metallica. Love your passion for their music.
Jason is amazing! Great song
One of Metallica's most underrated and undervalued songs. Still, The Outlaw Torn is the best Load has to offer in my opinion.
The Outlaw Torn is that Metallica song for me that always soothes me when I'm feeling down and out.
I have the lyrics tattooed on my arm.
@davidderousse6293 cool
@@UltraViolent21"if I close my mind in fear..."?
omg i fucking love this song, its so emotional, and ties to my life to my life, day in and day out. thanks for reacting to one of my favorite songs.
He did visit a vocal coach, early on in the recording sessions for the self titled Black Album, he blew his voice out doing a cover song, "So What" originally done by British punk band, Anti Nowhere League... I'm a big MetallicA fan. 🤷♂️ P.S., Fixxxer off of the following album, ReLoad, is a must-hear and in my opinion, somewhat similar to Bleeding Me...
"So What" was what did him in? After all the shit he put his voice through before that? That's one hell of a straw. >.> He shoulda left that goat alone...
You have solid taste. This song is one of the best on this album.
This and outlaw torn are both in my top 10 favourite Metallica songs.
@@herbertwest9626yeah just edited my comment sorry lol.
I love everything about Metallica, particularly this album, Load, since it was the first album (on cassette) that I was able to buy when I was in school, I listened to it many times, along with "Reload" and I still enjoy them.
"Harvester of Sorrow" is probably one of the top Metallica songs that finds its way into my playlist not so much whenever I'm having a bad day, but usually whenever I'm troubled, stressed out or just fed up with typical everyday life bullshit. And Justice for All never lets me down.
I always loved this song.
One of the best songs off the load album.. the live versions of this song from woodstock 99 and the s & m album are incredible imo
Seen them live twice. This is an amazing song by them.
seen them live 11 times
I wish more reactors would cover songs from this era of Metallica
Same here, but unfortunately, those reactors are influenced by the comments from people that say shit like "Only a certain point of Metallica is what you should react to" or "Metallica's first 4 or 5 albums are worth checking out, the rest of them suck." or etc.
God, I freakin love this song! You first asked about lyric vs music video: I would say studio lyric should always be the first reaction, before music video or live. You asked second about which song I turn to: just depends on my mood. Usually I just hit a playlist with Metallica and it’s usually a song I didn’t even choose which reels me in and either gets me amped up or soothes the sorrows.
I can't believe that you are reacting to this, GREAT SONG, not many people really remember, or know this song. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS
Outlaw Torn live 2019 Manheim Germany is one of James's finest moments. Epic.
My go to- I Disappear. Nobody's favorite, but I can chew through concrete when that song plays.
This song... outlaw torn, unforgiven II and fixxer are absolute soulful gems of this era
Best Metallica song ever!! There is a live version of this song with the San Francisco orchestra. It’s a banger
Fade to black is my favorite by far. Well done here Lilly. This song is an emotional roller coaster yet has a solution at the end that ties everything together in a black leather-bound package.
I’m happy to see so many people love this song. It’s my all time favourite and it’s on one of their most controversial albums ever. Thought I was alone. But bleeding me and outlaw torn are masterpieces in my ears ❤
Best song off the album
For this guy, it's their greatest song. LOVE it so much, it speaks to me.
Hands down this is the best track on the album
"Mama Said " is the best❤
This song is one of my favorites I didn't know why at first until I learned what it ment and realized how much I can relate to it and has and still helping through those emotions
METALLICA.....damn Genius, l love them
my favorite song on this album....and the outlaw torn. masterpieces absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bleeding me is one of my favorite songs, very underrated🤟🏻
This and The Outlaw Torn are my favorites off of Load! I’d recommend checking out Low Man’s Lyric and Fixxxer, especially the live version at the 40th Anniversary Concert as it was its live premiere
Bleeding Me is definitely a Great Song with deep meaning!
One of Metallicas' very best tracks.
Love this song. One of Metallica's masterpieces.
The lyric video and this song absolutely kicks
My favorite song, by any artist, ever. It is the perfect metal composition.
Awesome song! Outlaw Torn is my favorite from that album. Don’t listen to all the haters that diss Load and Reload.
This reaction needs WAYYYYYYY more views!
My favorite metallica song. I always viewed it as Fade To Black part 2. Its taken own a different meaning and just being overwelmed by decisions, good or bad, you have to live with.
One of my favorite songs by any band. Very underrated and Kirk is a amazing and great guitarist!
This is what I define as a slow burner, the riff just builds that anticipation.
This is another song I like on this album and oddly enough, it's the more tame songs that I like. Really like James vocals on this one.
Great song, great lyrics, the solo speeks for itself....Good reaction
One of the best songs on the album. And one of the best solos Kirk ever played! And by the way, I think he says "oh bleed me", not "oh baby" as the creator of the lyric video suggests.
Come on and bleed me. I haven't looked to double check but I also remember "priest that feeds the beast" is "beast that feeds the feast".
@@mfree80286 Yes, I think so too. There may be some other mistakes as well.
Damn, I hadn't listened to this song in years! It is a good one, one of the best on the album. I didn't love Load or Re-Load when they came out and as a guy in my early 20s, I didn't get it. I definitely appreciate both albums more now, and I like that Metallica changed and grew, and as fans we did too. I saw them multiple times on both of these tours, and they were awesome. I always go back to songs like Escape or Sanitarium when I'm feeling low. Great video Lilly!
Touring with Corrosion Of Conformity was such a blessing for Metallica. They were a source of inspiration, and made the lads relax their playing, rediscover the Sabbath in them, and groove a little better. Listening to this album and COC's "Deliverance" back to back, sometimes I feel like it could be the same band.
"Pearls Before Swine" is the perfect example of a COC song that would fit perfectly on "Load".
I've loved Metallica since I seen the One video debut on MTV I was 8 or 9
It's a amazing song, but live with Symphony orchestra and live in Woodstock you can feel more and more emotions of this song.
My favourite song from The album, with Until It Sleeps & The Outlaw Torn
Song be 28years old in June still GD to ears to listen to it. Been fan since 84. Gd reaction
My absolute favorite Metallica song! Thank you ❤
Also, first and only reaction I’ve seen to this song and you were so insightful and brought different meanings to what I’ve been listening to for years. Well done 🤘🏼
One of their top 5 songs ever, idgaf which ones you gotta leave out of that list honestly
Best song on the album, and one of their best songs period.
This is one of my favourite songs by them and every time someone reacts to this song I click that video and see those facial expressions that they make while enjoying such a beautiful song with beautiful vocals and riffs and melodies
I like the lyric videos because they are less likely to get blocked...however there are certain videos where the lyric videos do not do the songs justice.
i highly recommend you check out their Woodstock 99 performance of this song!!!
That’s an absolutely phenomenal performance of this song, probably the most emotional Ive ever seen James. He always puts a little extra into this song but that one had some extra!
This song ranks right up there with any of their great songs. This song is so good.
Thank god , I've found my people. One of their best, if not THE best.
told ya it was legendary
This was my favorite song in the world at one point, as this was my first Metallica album; I was 12 turning 13 years old in summer of '96. Thanks, Lilly. I like the way you've been mixing the music video/lyric videos. If there is a music video available then do it. I think maybe the people will let you know of a particularly song is more about the lyrics or the video.
Great legend song
For me, Of Wolf and Man is my pick me up track, and Through the Never, they remind me that we are only on this tiny ball of rock for a such a short time, we should revel in our nature, and love each other.
Love this song
Bleeding me con tus reacciones ❤Lilly❤ thank you.
A great song, a musically mature album.
By far one of my favorite Metallica songs 🤘
Highly recommend the live S&M version!!!!!
Metallica fans love this song!! Let’s Fucking Go. Definitely one of their best
Not only is this one of my favorite load songs but it's also in my top 10 of all Metallica songs.
Very astute analysis of the song I am impressed
I would love to see you do the live version of "My Friend of Misery" from Louisville KY in 2021. James does something that you won't see any other frontman doing, making the crowd sing harmonies with each other.
Masterpiece..
The song i go to is called 'fixxxer ' from metallica ' s album Reload.
Una obra de arte de METALLICA!! saludos desde la Argentina lilly!!
Nice, one of my favourite Metallica Songs!! Thanks :D
My favorite
I was so excited for you to do this one!!! I knew you were going to enjoy it so much!! Its one of their best songs!!!
Absolutely fabulous commentary. I just subscribed to you. Cant wait to hear more reviews from you. Have a great day
Quick suggestion... Under your scars by godsmack
Bleeding Me is about the process of rehab therapy, “bleeding” out the bad by addressing and admitting that you are the author of your suffering.
It’s likened to the process of “blood letting” in ye olden days, when doctors thought you could simply let patients bleed out infected blood and new blood would replace it, curing you of your ailment.
The dark undertone of this song that nobody seems to pick up on… is that blood letting didn’t work. No matter how many times you tried it, the body was still infected.
James is ultimately saying that his rehab therapy for drug abuse and alcoholism will never work, because the body is still infected.
Such a great song! A lot of people are saying this and Outlaw Torn are the best songs on this album and I have to agree.
Perfect explanation
one of my favorites 😻
