I loved most of the cartoons as a kid but I really loved almost every single School House Rock. They taught me so much
I was 10 years old in 1975, and now nearly 50 years later, I can still vividly remember these shows ..AND....vividly remember most of these commercials! I watched the entire video and for a little while, i was back in time to being a kid again on Saturday mornings! Thank you!!
your welcome
Yes, me to. I'm 53 bro. O feel you 100 percent.
I too was 10 years old in 1975.... I remember these old commercials and cartoons...sure brings back memories of my childhood.
Sure miss the old days.
@@MoneMedia You're welcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed the childhood memories of Saturday morning cartoons!
Hey,
@@bluebyyou7504 hi
Simpler times indeed and as teen in the 70s find these posts quite nostalgic
1975 to 1976 I was 8. THIS is the sweet spot for me cartoon wise. I had watched them before then but I remember really looking forward to the new cartoons of this season. I watched the preview shows the networks would show on the Friday night before to gin up excitement about the Saturday morning premieres. I probably scanned the TV guide as well so as not to miss anything I might want to see. You did my old adult brain such a big favor by your work putting this all together. I got to go back in time and at moments feel like my 8 year old self again! I took such pleasure in these shows and commercials. It was all thrilling and colorful and comforting. A Saturday morning oasis in what for me was a rocky time in real life elementary school. Thank you very much!!!
those friday night preview shows the 1st friday in september were really special for the school year
@@tolfan4438 they really were. I loved to look forward to them and then all the Saturday mornings ahead. It made getting through the school week bearable!🐸
I loved the preview shows.same age range
🎉 Same here!
Thank you for so eloquently describing life at 8 years old in '75-'76!!!
Oh,those Friday nights when the networks got us salivating with Saturday Morning previews.....
For me, it started with "That's Cat" at 6:30am...until Soul Train at 12pm. I still reminisce about some of those shows from 1970 to 1977....to name only a few: Hong Kong Phooey, The Hudson Brothers, Jabberjaw, The Secret Lives Of Waldo Kitty, Wheelie and The Chopper Bunch, Grape Ape, Captain Caveman, and certainly all the Krofft shows...
And the little tidbits between shows like Schoolhouse Rock, In The News, Timeford Timer....
Of course, there was a always a huge bowl of Cap'n Crunch involved.
(Isn't it strange that we didn't mind shredding the roofs of our mouths on copious amounts of jagged cereal at that age?)
I'll stop babbling now.
Sometimes we would go to the neighbors' house to watch with the other kids. So much fun and good memories. I was 10 in 1975.
Hard to believe how I remembered so many of those commercials, not thought of or seen in near 50 (wow) years now. Locked so deep in my brain lol. Sureal
Anyone else remember Cap'n Crunch scratching the roofs of their mouths??
It's great to look through a youtube comment section and see that 99% of them are positive and radiate good vibes. Thanks to each of you that contributed and shared your good feeling with the rest of us, it is appreciated, and thanks to Mone Media for kicking out these visual treats. Good stuff!
Absolutely!
75 i was 8 dam where did the time go, please send me back!!!
I used ro watch NBC I 'm glad I was a kid in the 80's kids today have no understanding of Saturday morning cartoons. I would get up early every Saturday morning.
Went from commercials about toys, cereal and new cars to commercials about lawyers, alcohol, money
Born in '65. Best tv growing up.
Even the comercials were better in 1975, this takes me back to when I was 12 life was fun simple and exciting…….
In 1975 i was 8 and remember these cartoons, also those Duncan Yoyos.
This was my favorite part of growing up 🌼✌️✨💖
I was 3-4, so I don't really recall this season, but man, I loved me some Hong Kong Phooey. My mom singing that s she walked through the living room is one of my earliest memories. Thanks for all you do for us, Mone!
Born in 1970.
Omg, the memories - Saturday mornings with a bowl of mixed sugar smacks, trix, and cocoa pebbles.
We're currently in Belize but you better believe my little one was asking for cartoons this morning. We watched a little earlier and throughout the day and now Mama and I are watching tonight. Thanks Again Mone! Much Love!
This took a brother back Those were the good old days...
I remember cartoon characters like Fat Albert, Jabberjaw (a wisecracking shark), the Ant and the Aardvark, Grape Ape, Hong Kong Phooey, Mr. Peabody, The Superfriends, The Wonder Twins, HR Puffnstuff, Sigmund the Sea monster, etc. The shows didn't seem weird back then, but they do now. 😂
Times change but I still loved them.
The 70s never get the credit they deserve for utter weirdness.
The commercials are still mesmerizing. Also, I just woke the whole house by bellowing the Hong Kong Phooey theme song. Oops.
Greetings humans I'm rabbit good lord I was a kit of eight years old when these programs from earth ran. My father would sit me in his lap in big chair and sometimes either watch with me or nap a little. Thank you for the shot of nostalgia.
That BK guy is not as nightmare fuel as the king now....
My sisters and I would be up on a Saturday on a Sunday no problem . If we had to be up for school that was a problem parodies they had to fight with us to get us up on the school day . I was 12 years old back then good times good memories I go back in a heartbeat.
Gonna download this and just marinate in my childhood of some 50+ years ago this Saturday morning 🥹 Thanks.
I was just singing School House Rock!! How did I learn history? Not in school 🏫. With a bowl 🥣 of cereal on Saturday morning 🌄
Man what a memories.😭😭😭😭😭
Sugar Fruit Giggles cereal!??
Never heard of it - but as a kid of the 70’s, I ate my share of sugar laden cereal! Add to this the cigarette smoke I breathed in at the kitchen table - and I was ready for school! No wonder the teachers hated me!
Great lineup... I miss those times.
Man Brings Back Sweet Memory's Of Childhood Long Ago Miss. Thoses Day's ✌️
Not one, not two, not three, but FOUR classic "Schoolhouse Rock" history segments! This video's all that and a bag of Charles Nelson Reilly and Dr. Smith bits.
Wish someone would release Uncle Croc's Block to DVD. 😅
A bit before my time but definitely magical!! Thanks my friend. You’re bringing the fun back to Saturday!!!!
In retrospect, these Saturday morning kids shows were horrible but wow, I remember loving every minute of them when they debuted. Saturday morning were OUR mornings and we looked forward to hours of entertainment after a week of school. If I were allowed to turn back time and redo my youth, I certainly would.
Quite a number of these cartoons was based on other TV Shows.
They're better than the garbage that is on today.
@@CatsClaw44 Sure Jan
Yeah, the difference between what was actually good and childhood nostalgia is often considerable.
@@talkingthetalk3640 They're 100% correct. Al you have today is reality t.v. and regurgitated shows from this era and the 80s.
A great quote from the lost saucer show; “ If machines have a heart,There still might be hope for people “ jeez!!! Very well said.
loved that art style on Tom and Terry then. the voice works too.
Classic kid visual fun!!!! Those days were so fun!!!! At 7 or 8 years old it was everything get your captain crunch, Frankienberry, Coco puffs, etc… n sit down ready to watch!!!
Thanks Man, these were awesome with a few bonghits!
“of weed even”. Lol.
As a 6 year old that year I watched Bruce Jenner do the ceremonial kick off at Soccer Bowl 75 and the next year win the damn decathalon at the Olympics and now 45 plus years later he dresses up as a woman and playing politician. This about explains how our world has fallen which includes Saturday morning cartoons for kids.
Reality that literally turned stranger than fiction... the American Horror Story. When you look back with these videos, you realize just how far we've sunk. I honestly feel sorry for today's kids.
Dude you are my hero!!!!!
The commercials are what Me TV should advertise during their cartoons
Thank you so much for the memories 🥰
Wow. This brought back a flood of memories.
Thank you, thank you for posting this, you have given a wonderful gift..the best days of my life and beloved cartoons and commercials from a cherished time
Im an 80's baby 90's kid and even i found this cool asf only thing i really miss in today generation is Saturday morning cartoons they we're bussin this generation is missing out
Same. But I'm here checking this out 😊😊
The ideal Saturday morning for me would have been the Bugs Bunny Looney Tunes show with a few episodes of Hong Kong Phooey followed by Land of the lost.I would also want School house rock and all of the classic commercials mixed in as well
Just love this mix of cartoons and cereal commercials! I was 4 so I just love timeframe of Saturday morning.
Great post, but too bad the first "Hong Kong Phooey" was never shown!
Blame the copyright cops
@@MoneMedia yeah, I figured that. Thanks for posting!
Miss my Big Wheel and miss the mid 70's
I was 12 just growing up and out of the cartoon Saturday but I will tell you I was into the six million dollar man, Charlie’s Angels and Hardy Boys/ Nancy Drew mysteries. The cartoons before 1975 were the best. We were kids then these weren’t that corny then but being older I would have sent the kids outside. It was more enriching. All in all the cartoons were good also in 1975.
A lil b4 my time, but I feel you
I really love this.
Awesome video! New subscriber
Marshall, Will, and Holly on a routine expedition...
I was only a few months old in 1975, and I remember a good bit of this. It was an obscure year for cartoons for sure, and as a baby, I love every minute of it.
A few MONTHS? Must have been 18 months or so.
@@johnmccree8941 I was born in October of 1974, so I was about six or seven months old, when the shows premiered in 1975.
Meee too!😂 03/13/75
Instant quaker oats for an entire generation of latchkey kids. It was certainly a different time.
...I will say, though, that I still sing the Preamble 47 years later. FWIW...
Grape Ape... When was bliss.
Yay! Glad to finally see a new video!
i try every saturday
I was 6 to 7 years old at this time and remember part of these.
Thanks, As ever!
Good to see u back brother thank u 4 ur 🙏 hardwork
Congratulations! Keep up the great work! Still waiting for your Saturday Morning “Fanatic World Of Hanna-Barbera” 5-hour video upload featuring episodes from SuperTed, Yogi’s Treasure Hunt, The Paw-Paws, Smurfs, Richie Rich, Paddington Bear, HBtv & The Adventures Of Don Coyote, please. Maybe tomorrow.
coming Sunday morning Jamie.
Ok I'm here LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!
Fact: The late Jim Backus from the New 🆕 Adventures of Gilligan voiced Mr. Magoo.
Cool didn't know that
@@MWCG I am full 🌝 of TV facts.
Didn't scatman carruthers voice Hong Kong fooey?
The sugar cereal is actually a mockup used in the 1976 film, “Seeing through commercials”
Oh man, I completely forgot about my yo-yo phase 😆 at one time I could do all those ridiculous tricks, now I’d most likely smash myself in the face with it if I tried. This channel is real nostalgia porn.
I was pretty good as well
@@MoneMedia My birthday 🎂 is coming up in two weeks . Can you do a special birthday 🎂 collection of cartoons with mega producers or any cartoons I would like from the top 🎩 three cartoon networks in the 80s?
The Duncan Imperial was my go-to yo-yo!!
1:57: I had a Ricochet Racer, but a different color, and until 1984 when it was broken. Having gotten it from another kid, it was not until many years later that I looked it up to see just what it was and bought one from eBay.
Thank you...
I was born in 1975!
Very nice pieces love the black & white cover up going to have to get that piece ❤
The “Elbow Room” song has some really interesting rhetorical lyrics
VERY WELL DONE WE NEED MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo-Yo's were all the rage! I had the Duncan Butterfly!
So did I! It was one of those that lit up! Great times!
I enjoy this so much I love how they are made in this time period not a fan of the new animations
back in the day when you put the word sugar in the product, because, you know . . . sugar! my mom would never buy us any of the "good cereal", but at grandma's there was always some sugary, crunchy goodness waiting for us.
Cartoon Saturday..great memories..met Gus S. As a kid promoting Duncan yo yo in Ma..
Uncle Crock's Block! Robert Ridgely as Steve Exhaustion. He was also the voice of Thundarr the Barbarian.
Just imagine if The Lost Saucer landed in The Land of The Lost, Or on Dr. Shrinker's island.
Their was some episode that had Lidsvill, Dr Shrinker and Land of the lost’s Enik and some Sleastak together. Saw it on UA-cam I think.
I have a collection of most of these Cartoons on Dvd, and i still watch them.
4sho
I remember this stuff well. I was in first grade. Saturday was cartoon time until my parents woke up and then we would switch channels to classic movies such as “Ma and Pa Kettle” or “Blondie”. Later that afternoon there would typically be Godzilla movies on.
Sneakin' up on 30k subs bro!
Yes sir
My family television didn’t bring in the ABC network all that well, so i rarely watched this line-up.
We Gen Xers were spoiled with the best, most creative and diverse toys in the history of childhood! Eat your heart out Boomers, Millenials, and Gen Z!
Well said!
Cap'n Crunch with soap shapers inside........aauuugghhh...simpler times

I remember hating these shows but Kung Fun theater on channel 11 didn't start until 11 am
You have to do a lot of coke to give Charles Nelson Reilly a morning kid's show.
Oh yeeeaaahhhh baaaaaby!!!!
Schoolhouse Rock was the best!
I was 10 years old running around the streets of Long Beach California. What a time to be alive! Thanks for the time trip!
i grew up in the '70s and '80s, "Sugar Fruit Giggles" breakfast cereal stood out right away because i don't remember ever seeing that, after some digging it turns out it was a mockup used in an educational film from 1976 called "Seeing Through Commercials" ua-cam.com/video/pzEp65hNLq4/v-deo.html
Man i grew up in the 90s early 2000 our cartoons were not this wholesome lol
Happy Saturday❤
happy Saturday
The green Duncan was my first yo yo.
Uncle croc 's bloc? Charles Nelson Reilly and Johnathan Harris together? That's a serious double dose of...
😊radical
Lol we need Giggles today!
I don't understand why they copyright claim you for some of these when they've been all over UA-cam for decades now
yea its mind boggling
@@MoneMedia I guess the Copyright Police are waiting for the Right time to Nail somebody.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was just being born, 03/13/1975
Just tell me one thing: what happened to Fruit Punch Captain Crunch?
The red dye was banned in foods.
@@BlueLineGroovy wasn't it called punch crunch?
When ABC was credible.
