You forgot to mention that when the devs did this Torque vs Horsepower option, they actually commited a mistake that, when you put all on horsepower, you will also get better acceleration. Tunning for torque is useless. Also, if you are using a car that isn't a Muscle car, you should never install the transmission on it cuz transmission will give you less acceleration in exchange for a top speed that you may be never able to reach on common races without a drafter
I go into vlted I see only torque so maybe the torque could've actually increase the torque by a big amount and then make it fall off faster but horsepower less than the torque option but it has more power for longer
Which is why I upgrade the tranny and change the final drive ratio in favour of acceleration using vlted
i was gonna say it seemed pretty obvious to me hp accelerated a good bit quicker than tq in the side by side comparison
The best way to make torque usable would be better acceleration overall and maybe steering, so that way torque would be much more utilised since going faster then 360kmh is unneeded in carbon

Charger in NFSC is so broken for a T2 car, I love her so much (was using her even in T3 races back in the day, horsepower setup is top)
The RX7 too, insane acceleration and top speed + excepcional handling
Angie being an Ai that knows how to control the damn thing is the scariest part
@@yk68 I went max Horsepower on the RX7 and tuned the tires for drifting. Oddly in carbon, understeer is oversteer and understeer is oversteer. I was confused to why it was controlling much like a grip car, until i set it over to understeer, and then i was drifting better. Well, as well as carbon lets it.

I hate the tier system, worst thing about the game IMO, makes half+ of the cars unusable late game

If I knew how I'd give torque a better acceleration then hp and an extra of steering strength as well, that way sometimes torque would win over hp especially for cars that are not so good at steering but are good in accelerating
Muscles in Carbon has broken acceleration and tuning to full top speed doesn't deteriorate the acceleration
This is why I nerfed the acceleration when getting closer to the top speeds for more realistic behaviour
For the second test I say the balanced should be in 2nd and torque in 3rd, it has a higher speed

They both reach the 9% mark at the same time so no.
This is due to the higher acceleration of the torque build.
Muscle-> horse power
Exotic-> torque
Tuner->horse power

My go to is horsepower and acceleration, it think it tops out at 185 but it gets there QUICK.
Not like it needs any faster since the map doesn't really allow it and Ai are dumb, at least the Ai side I managed to change by making them much tougher then before, this time it requires skill to stay in first and a car that can perform(by perform I mean one that can steer cause muscle cars like the charger will be beat by the superior corvette/viper and exotic cars with their steering)

"Sa peut dépendre des voitures" dans la vraie vie ou jeu réel "en bas régime" le torque et avantageux quand lance la voiture ou "dans, après" un virage "pour te relancer et autre..." "haut régime" le horsepower et (plus pour les hautes vitesse...) quand la voiture est déjà lancée "et que tu veux bombardé"😂

Dodge Viper = Insane acceleration
Corvette Z06 = Insane handling
Ford GT = Too slow !

Isn't the common idea of torque vs horsepower along the lines of horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far through the wall the car will go?
Well yeah but in racing there really isn't a reason for torque to be preffered over hp then

Don't limit yourself to just muscle cars. Check evo, carrera, viper.
Viper is a muscle car in this game, so is the corvette
The best setup for all cars is Engine-Full horsepower and transmission-full acceleration
