- A dog with no home has run 1700km with some cyclists on their way to Tibet, after befriending them when they gave him a drumstick. Report by Louise Hulland.

my goodness ..people never cease to amaze me when i give up on all hope for mankind ..this happens..people with one act of kindness helps a little creature and makes them feel love..it makes me happy...although there are a million other dogs and cats and and rabbits and horses and well lets sum it up a billion other animals who need this kind of love im thankful it happens at all...

We're doing this in the USA starting in January. We will go about 4,000km. But we are bringing an actual trailer, not a wire cage.

I don't think it's animal cruelty. They gave him water and food. I read somewhere else at certain times they put him on the bike. If anything, it's a blessing for the little doggy. Now he has a home. See it as a good thing. We need to see things in a positive way. I wish there were more positive things in life. More nice things. Guess we have to make them happen. Like these people did for the doggy.

The puppy is now adopt by one of the cyclist , and they are living a really happy life together:) . The cyclist has post many Photos of the puppy and him :)))

The dog must have been in his previously life in Tibetan and has no problem with the hight, he instinctively knew the bikers were heading towards Tibet and followe them with great pleasure!

Most Chinese don't eat dog. It's done in the poorer regions where they don't have anything better to eat.

Did you forget the fact that the dog was a stray? It's not their fault it decided to follow them for such a long time. If anything, they helped the dog out by feeding it, giving it water, and now giving it a home. Think before you make accusations.

He's adopted by one of the cyclist . The dog is named xiaosa and his new owner had created a social media account for xiaosa to post its photos
Haha it's she.... she is living with her owner and a cat friend, travelling around China, posting photos on social media almost everyday. She had 5 healthy babies in 2013 and they all have been adopted.

No they are not. Tibet's weather is too harsh to permit the growing of much in terms of fruits or vegetables, so they have to eat meat (although most eat dairy products such as yak butter blended into tea). They also practice Vajryana Buddhism, which believes that vegetarianism is unnecessary since the semi-secret practices of this form of Buddhism allows believers to accrue good karma without being vegetarian.
