@@MrWhatyousee he was the defending world champion and number 1 on the order of merrit and won almost every tournament there in in professional darts with a lot of them twice or even more. even in the world championships he didn't play his best darts and still made it to the final. in your eyes that's arrogant, in my eyes that's being realistic
Thank you for the long insight interview. Peter Wright became my fave since the moment I started watching darts some years ago. I rooted for him through the whole tournament but still cannot believe that I have actually witnessed with my own eyes what happened at that final. I was in tears as well as him after the last darts. You deserve it, champ!
Same with me LightOne. I still can't believe what i have seen in the Final this year. my eyes still water in anticipation for Snakebite. He absolutely deserved it in my oppinion!
Such a humble guy who’s brought entertainment with his unique bright colours which makes him stick out from the rest. Totally deserved to be champion of the world 👍🏻
I watched this about a week or two before this years final so getting to know how genuinely nice peter is from this interview really made this years final a special one
Started watching darts when the Worlds started in 2014. Since then I have followed Peter and he quickly became my favorite darts player. I started playing darts myself because of him. Seeing him progressing and growing as a player and eventually seeing him win the Worlds was amazing. Back in the final of 2014 I thought he was not ready, but this time it was different. What an achievement. The perfect example of "practice makes perfect".
Not only does he play a perfect game of darts ;) he looks absolutely stunning on stage. I just LOVE the extreme make up and I think it's a work of art, Beautifully applied. On top of that he is a nice guy too....it's a total and original package and I love seeing him play......
He won’t dominate. He’s solidified himself at the top 5 level consistently in the last several years, but this late in his career he’s not going to suddenly improve as a player let alone enough to dominate the sport in a way that comes close to what Taylor did or what MVG is almost doing
I love this guy. Met him just before the tournament and said I hope it would be his turn this time. Top top bloke and amazing player...chuffed to bits for him
Actually just started watching the game and giving it a try myself and instantly liked Peter. Especially like how he includes his family into his succes... You often hear him say, WE did it.
He's a huuuuge role model (now even more) for all of us that are often anxious, insecure and have doubts about theirselves. I respect him so much because of this and I'm really thankful, because I realized fully now that I shouldn't give up things I can't do well (also in sports) that quickly. I'm gonna work on myself more and try to have fun while doing what I do :)
Seeing this interview Peter Wright isn’t arrogant in the slightest I think he is unfairly misunderstood but also he comes across as a thoughtful quiet humble kind of guy all the success in the world snake bite😎
One of the few players Ive still yet to meet but I’m hoping it’ll be at the Nottingham premier league, seems such a nice bloke, very shy and humble, has a great family behind him too and I’m so pleased he is world champion, well done Peter 👏🏻🎯👍🏻🙂🏆
Peter is a complete natural at his sport, and fully deserved the PDC World Championship title as he beat the very best in the game has to offer. I just hope that he kicks on and wins many more big titles. The best part of his success is that he is an even better human being. Love it when a Scot is World Champion, even if he doesn’t sound like one! 🏴🏴🏴🎯🎯🎯🏆🏆

Great interview. Honestly and authentic! Well done Peter Wright you're a deserved world champion. You're the best darts player in the world right now and I can't wait to see you showing this day after day getting those trophies!!! All the best
He's a great guy, but not the "deserved" champion of the world. Michael was missing 15 to 18 dubbels in deciding legs. So he won because Michael was missing. Wen Phil beat Michael in 2013, hè won because he trough 11 and 12 darters, and that is the "deserved" world champion.🖒
Looking back at this interview now, it kind of makes you feel bad for him, knowing that basically only a few weeks after this interview, the world would go into lockdown. You really feel that he had big plans for 2020, such a shame that he never had a proper year as the reigning world champion. Hopefully, he will get that chance now in 2022
I know, he doesn't sound very Scottish but im glad he is. Wright and Ando were fantastic for us at the world Cup. Also, he beat the first few folk at the world's dressed as an elf 😂 World champ and an entertainer, no mean feat!!

Hit 3 nine darters and missed another 4 in 15 Minutes of practice??? What the hell 😅 There you see what they can do during their training. That to see on the main stage would be incredible 🙈🎯
Can Peter go on to beat Phil Taylors record? Most definitely! This was just the start! Im predicting hel win 15 of the next 20 world titles and break the world record average in the process by averaging 130+ in the premier league. Peter will win 18, as well as Price 10 world titles (due to fitness) Cross 3, Durrant 3, Ashton 1, Barney 1. Unfortunately cant see MVG winning another one due to family life
I know what its like to rule the world. Former 6 time world pinball champion. My story was a lot different that any other story. One day everything clicked in, in virtually a split second. I went from an average player to the best in the world in a split second around the time I was 9 years old. For me nothing like that ever happened in any of the other sports I played. I was world class in snooker and darts and a two time world youth mini-putt champion.
