its supposed to be two handed snatches, its an advance movement and im lowkey struggling. the snatch alone is a advance movement if you’re not practicing kettlebells, the two handed snatch is even more so lol
My physical therapist told me to get a set of these weights to help get stronger after a concussion. They do the job. I like them better than hand weights.
If you know proper technique you will barely feel it in your forearm and it'll be super safe. Problem is this video was very bad in explaining what to do.
I recommend you to spend 45 mins of your life and watch tje Enter the Kettlebell of Pavel Tsasouline is in YT for free... You will thank me later thanks to that video snatch, swing and clean-press are my favs excersices with kb
I (slightly) agree with this comment. Once you work up to a certain weight (say, modestly, 50lbs), then failure to adequately control the catch can hurt your forearms, especially if you're working with high reps where form breaks down. This is why I generally prefer to rotate the KB handle around the forearm when demonstrating the snatch, and what I teach in class. That said, you can properly catch a big KB (say 100+lbs) overhand without damaging the wrist if you execute the arm extension with proper control.
It will beat your wrist to death done like shown here, not efficient or correct, smh. I did these like this years ago when I started, trained under Jeff Martone and he fixed it.
Do the hard work especially when you don't feel like it 💪🏼

Hello brothers
guys doing the adonis protocol, are you doing 50 on each arm or 50 overall???
its supposed to be two handed snatches, its an advance movement and im lowkey struggling. the snatch alone is a advance movement if you’re not practicing kettlebells, the two handed snatch is even more so lol
Each arm. Tho hamza said he does both arms at the same time. So you could either do 50 per, or 50 together both at once
I'm starting with 25 on each arm.
Why do less when you can do more

How do I keep it from slamming against my forearm?
Check the Pavel Tsasouline video tutorial. He will explain you.
do i have to like switch hands too or?
Is this a safe exercise? I don’t have a kettlebell so I use dumbbells, but the moment I did the movement, my shoulder started making “popping” sounds.
Start with light weight (2.5-5kg) and your joints will adapt over time
It's amazing to see ma guys actually putting Adonis protocol into action, let's keep it up soldiers

only problem I have with these are, the fact they smash my wrist everytime
Kane Too Maybe a dumbbell would work better for you?
@@nakai_bee6024 ye I prefer the dumbbell, but i have noticed it alot less since i started to perfect my form with the KB

So this is basically a single arm KB swing, why is it called a snatch?
KB swings are hip movements, they end at shoulder level max. Snatches are movements that lift weights over the head.
@@Koyote747 Not the American Kettlebell swing though. That one goes overhead. Oh well, it's an uncommon movement nonetheless!

I guess bad technique is better than no technique at all...
Yeah absolutely as long as as you not getting hurt or feeling any pain
The kettlebell swings over and hits the forearm. That can't be good.
He’s not doing neutral grip which ruins wrists lllollollololol
Do the hard work specially when you don’t feel like it 😘mwa 😂
This is no good technique. You twist your wrist to bring the kettlebell around, not swing it over the top of your hand
