'whether we is rich or poor we are all homeless just working our way home' wow that line hit me so much truth behind it
I know tell me about it.
Why the hell does Djimon hounson not get a movie where he stars as the main star and not a supporting role. This man has continuously proved that he is an A class actor
A shitty agent?
He chooses the movies. if he doesn't want to do it, he doesn't have to. if he wants to be the star, then he can refuse.....but obviously he chooses to be in move anyways. actors have a say.
+Arthur Wild or somethin...i don't get it
Me neither. I fell in love with that man when I saw him in Blood Diamond. Outstanding actor.
Orrrrrr...he just doesn't get the opportunity to choose leading roles.
People who’ve suffered the most become the wisest.
Facts!👍✨✨✨
im sorry but i did not recognize renee zellweger
Yeah.. she is so different in here.. the hair color totally changed her \.
plastic surgery can change a person
neither did I!
I know ay, wtf
Her plastic surgery has turned her "ordinary."
Just finished watching this movie on Netflix. What a story! So full of love😍😍😍
So much hate for a feel good movie.
Something told me not to read the comments. I need to listen to that voice a lot more.
I have a similar voice and a similar problem with listening to it.
It's good that people use their brains and reflect on things, but the urge to analyze can go a little too far when they end up declaring to know the "dark reason" behind any odd thing, asuming an almost oracle like quality or mind reading ability.
Must be a tad exhausting to be so negative and paranoid.
This seems like an uplifting story, I like Kinnear and Hounsou, and I am going to enjoy watching the movie.
Amen. Besides, this story obviously is a double edged sword in the way both sides help the other reconnect with themselves as well as others. Feel goods all the way around! A true, "win win" situation.
heeded your advice, after reading your comment. I have seen the trailer, and i am out of here
There are other ways to do a feel good movie.
How is this a feel good movie?
Did all you people complaining miss the part that its based on a true story. Besides, what I saw a black man and a white man who saved each other. I can't wait to see it.
Cori watch hitman bodyguard
@@rosemarc7192 😂. But hitman bodyguard is totally different from this movie. Those two have nothing same in it.
Djimon hounson is a brilliant actor.. He should be getting bigger roles
He should play Seal in a Seal biopic...or not :|
He's the only reason I watched the trailer.
+CrimsonTide001 me too
+NaijaCINE 😂
well he was in the guardians of galaxy for a few seconds
I remember reading this book 10 years ago. Incredible true story from the husband's perspective. Not sure how it will translate into film well, or if Renee Zellwegger is the right one to play the part, but it is still a wonderful story to be told. I highly recommend the book.
lol people don't realize this is based on a book, and a true story
I'm sure the trailer mentioned that
It isn't, a true story doesn't claim to have visions specifically knowing strangers faces before you meet them, that's a tactic used to abuse the idiocy of the ignorant
The main white guy in the movie wrote the book this movie is based on, and he wrote the book about his own experiences. So yeah, it is.
+calebxw calling this a true story is like calling "Heaven is for real" a true story, it aint
Alex Rocha whether you believe it or not, it is still based off true events and is really based off a kid who thought he went to heaven
Black people see color because everyone else sees color! Telling the truth isn't saying something racist. It's just the fact of life. Stop devaluing our community and intelligence. Conversations about racism will come to a close.
THANK YOU
1:17 With Jon Voight as himself
Lmao
lol
LOL, good one :D
A fantastic movie if you haven't yet watched it. I would suggest taking the time with the family and enjoy this one. My kids especially enjoyed it.
A very good film based on a true story. God bless them all.
I got to be an extra in this movie! so excited to finally see it!
Where did you figure out how to be a extra in a movie ? That’s awsome
I have watched 3 pure flix movies by now and never dispointed me... From now on pure flix movies gonna be my collection.
This movie was so very beautiful. I've never felt so in touch with my emotions before. I cried so much during this.
Such a touching film... I recommend it.
Great movie. Based on real life events. Just shows you what can be achieved when you believe in someone or something good.
when he starts busting windows and she just says, "Hey!" I lost it. haha
I was feeling quite fine when I finished watching this movie
and then baaanng 💥 "this movie is based on a true story"
I literally cried for an hour remembering my mom😭😭😭😭😭
Great movie I cried and then there's joy 👍🏻👍🏻😥😊🙏✝️🙏
Cried with you dear. Amazing story and reminder to all of us to look out for one another.
whether we are rich or poor or in between , we are all homeless searching our way back home .. we are all different only that we have the same kind of different !
I like all Greg Kinnear movies, great actor
Coming out 26 years later than it should have.
Just watched this film, Djimon Hounson was brilliant, and this was a true story, brought tears to my eyes.
I cried through this whole movie ! So much for macho
Why everyone's talking about race... Y'all do know this is a true story right?
Antwuan McCoy you do realize to officially have a movie based on a true story you only need 10% of actual true facts about the incident
They should've got Oscars for this movie , every actor did a great job.
The awkward moment when you're someone who hates how much people keep hating on Renee for her face....and then you yourself only recognize her in this trailer because of her voice.....*tugs collar*
Her voice tipped me off, too. She spoke and I was like, "Wait! Is that...? No!"
I figured her out with her voice! And was saddened to see her, the way she looks now! I loved her but now I just cant...! Its just not her!
I can't wait for the sequel, hopefully its a little longer!
Just finished this book... not surprising that some things are not the same. great book I hope it justifying.
This looks really good. Greg Kinnear has done some really feel good movies.
I just watched the movie and loved every second of it I even read the book both were awesome.
I deadass started laughing when it cut to the angry Black man raising hell, then jumped to the sympathetic White woman talking on some "I just wanna save you" BS
M. Royer be more open minded
why did you have to bring race into this?
THANK YOU👏👏👏👏Im so tired of that storyline. Just another white washed Christian movie benefiting there people. We should be passed that🤷
Watched this movie this morning, what a beautiful story. 😭
I love this movie man
You guys have to read the book. It was so beautiful! I loved it. I wish I still had it, because I never got to finish it. This movie better live up to this. And yes you guys, this is a true story.
Renee Zellweger should have said "You had me at hello" and Olivia Holt should have sang "Had Me At Hello"!
Why doesn't Hollywood make a movie about a rich black family saving a white homeless guy?
valibe94 or a latino saving white blacks and all races of homeless people. That actually is a true story I know because I volunteer at that mens home every saturday.
That would basically be the same thing.
Why don't you make that movie and shut up.
Because that doesn't happen.
Amen
I spent the whole time trying to figure out who the actress was.. until it said Renee Zellweger. Unrecognizable.
Am I the only who thought that the black guys head in the thumbnail looked photoshopped?
Same
lbh you thought it was a silverback
What your mama? That is not nice of you.
That's Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje?
Amazing! Olivia Holt participates in this movie
I was my pleasure to meet both Ron and Denver. Yes, this movie is based on a true story.
I don't care what anyone says, this movie was good. Already bought the DVD
I'm glad this showed us the whole movie cause nobody was gonna see it anyway
Amazing movie, lots of subjects going on. Take your tissues. This pulls all your emotions from beginning to end.
well that practically gave away the whole God damn film!
I cry when I watch this movie
Que espetáculo de filme nunca tinha assistido um filme tão lindo tão bom que aprende muita coisa sobre amar e respeitar o próximo todos somos iguais
Definitely a MUST SEE!!
I could only recognize Renée Zellweger by her voice.
this movie was so good I couldn’t even believe it
Standing in the rain So long has left me with a little rust but put some faith in me and some day you'll see there's a diamond under all this dust !!!! YESSS !
At first I was like, why so many dislikes? and then I read the comments "ooohhhh ok..."
Pathetic idiots
+RedLightning007 yes you are you piece of shit chalk...
+Eye Of The Lion lmao I just imagine you angrily typing this with your greasy ass fingers.
RedLightning007 you're mad because no one is buying the illusion of your colorless mischief. You damn sulfuric smelly mutant. Lol.
The movie is good. The message even better. God be praised. We all can learn something from it.
Ah! Another trailer that shows me the whole movie, thanks saved my time from even watching it
This worth a watch. Believe me the trailer shows barely 3% of the original movie.
This worth a watch. Believe me the trailer shows barely 3% of the original movie.
Actually the trailer is the tip. Definitely a must see. It was good.
I love this song I can listen to it all day long love the movie and love the song
What an incredible inspiring beautiful movie based on a true story.
I just saw this for the first time! Absolutely a beautiful story and to see it was true at the end just amazed me! It's sooo much crazy in this world sometimes I forget there are good people in it. If you haven't seen it - it's a must see
I recommend this movie 4.5 stars; excellent acting; much deeper story here.... parents must choose to live...even if you must divorce to do so....?
I'm just here to see all the toxic and rage comments.
lol me too...its sad though XD.
+OneRaceMovies Suck "if it sad that most make you stupid but it is funny"....
Great film ! Great message ! Very inspirational ! Based on a true story !
What an amazing, inspiring and beautiful movie
Can't wait to watch this movie today with my family 👍👍
My favourite movie
I give this movie two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻🙏😇♥️
I just want to say, Once we tried to help homeless person, we took care of everything, tried to find a job for that person, but it turned out to be a nightmare.
The trailer does not do the film any justice. It's such a good movie
Yes this is a true story it's awesome
Hallmark movie...with a bigger budget.
Saw the movie, it was pretty good, especially knowing that it is based on a true story, wait... that was Renee Zellweger?? Wow, sure doesn't look like her, and didn't realize how much more she is than Bridget Jones!
OK, guys and gals.. I see your point in this.. claim that they are a lot "white hero saves a poor black man" motives in the movies. But instead of only blabbering.. (complaining)- do something about it. So you want a cool movie? What kind of.. which genre? For whom to watch? A war movie? Does it includes only black people (again.. why?). If based on real story- do your research.. for whom do you want a movie exactly. A person? Someone as great as Rosa Parks (but who actually isn't famous and got buried in history). Choose somebody whose name is unknown and remind everyone his/her heroism. After that start writing to studious, writers.. make a petition even.. we.. would like a movie about.. the great (afro-?)american hero .... , about his war with.. we would like it to be done that way.. reasons.. etc.. etc. You could even try fishing for famous black directors and actors... maybe some of them agree with your point of view and would like to help you.. then about production? Who would like helping and advertising? If you don't like the current conditions- change it somehow. Request the help of people who could actually help you. Convince them to do so.. (with no agresive methods). Fight for your movie with a style, with your brain and with choosing the right words.. why not? Everyone can just trow words at someone else's work. If you don't like it- fight for the thing that you would like to see. Speak with people!
I watch a lot Martial Arts movies from China, so most of my heroes are Chinese, all this "white hero" bullshit is because those people don't watch different movies, they just complain with the rest of the sheep when one screams "racism" or "white-washing". Also everything you just suggested is great and all that but it is much easier to complain on Twitter or UA-cam comments, because that is where the real change happens, not with hard work and determination like your suggesting, get with the times grandpa.
@WuShogun212 I don't watch martial arts too much, but I really like korean romantic dramas and japanese detective ones, so.. :) We are kind of .. at the same wave .. I have heroes from all races and genres, so.. those kind of comments bother me.
P.S. It angered me that they couldn't see the human story behind and only saw color. Y
Shut the fuck up you anime loving manchild. Stop trying to pretend you're out of high school, worldly, or smart at all. You're immature and your parents are ashamed of you.
Clean Living Um.. :D :D Womanchild, but ok. :P
Ili Qna
We get it you're a pro gurl gamerz.
Um... why is the black man speaking with a slave dialect? Did he get there through a time machine?
Lol well the full title of this bullshit is 'Same kind of different as me: A modern day slave, a professional art dealer, and the unlikely woman who bound them together.'
Its apparently based on a book
Your comment is almost a year old, so maybe youve bothered to learn a little more about this film. It IS based on a true story written BY that black man with "a slave dialect"... he exists. His dialect exists.
You ever been down south? To the deep south?
You call it "a slave dialect" yet much of the way many African Americans speak in present day America STILL seems like slave dialect to me. When a grown person cant even pronounce the word "ask" correctyl!? COME ON.
When basic grammar and higher education is still brushed off by the black community and rap thugs and spoiled athletes are lifted up!??? Slavery still has a hold of the black man in America to this day.
It exists
@@lawrencebader9399 Year late, but I've recently learned in English class that the "axe" pronounciation of ask is actually an older way of saying the word historically.
@@lawrencebader9399 You sir, need Jesus & love for all humanity. So much hate and bitterness in your comment, it's sad.
First of all, there are tons of educated black people. and for those who are possibly poor or didn't have advantages in life - do not go blaming them when it was Americans and the British and all Super powers for that matter who ENSLAVED them. And second of all - there isn't anything wrong with a way of speech. I'd rather have a good heart than a perfect education. I am fortunate to have an education, and I would NEVER look down on someone because of the way they talk. There are tons of spoiled athletes that are every ethnicity - It's the heart of man that corrupts, not culture.
You want to know the worst kind of slave? - a slave to hate and an unkind uncompassionate heart.
It is a true story. The couple opened a a shelter here in Fort Worth Texas. I read the book in High School and we went to visit the shelter. And there are pictures of the Ron & Denver there.
Renee Zellweger doesn't look older, but she looks so different...
Really awesome movie
Loved it
Beautifull
Marvelous
I loved this true story! It made me cry !
Nice to hear a Man admit, a movie made him cry 👍🏾
Olivia Holt makes this movie even better!
I like the story of the movie so much it's so great!!!
give it an oscar!
Love this movie to death
a beautiful message delivered,
Thank You for the beautiful story 😇
I wanna watch this movie simply because Djimon Hounsou's in it. He's an amazing actor.
Once again this is based off a true story some of these people is not getting that you cannot change a situation from the way it occurred but anyway it’s a beautiful story thank God all people don’t have closed minds
it's interesting how people consider this a "feel good movie", but who is gonna "feel good" watching it?...especially when it's scheduled for release in February...
Love this movie!! 💕
Did anyone else get a The blindside feel from this movie
Outstanding trailer vs excellent movie 😊😊😊
Beautiful movie!
This movie is based on a true story!! White Savior shit my ass!!
They should make a movie about a privileged black person saving a homeless white man.
They won't until someone presents the true story, instead of everyone just complaining about its seeming non-existence. Incidentally the "black person" portrayed in this film was a co-author of the book it was made from. He was an inspirational speaker and with Ron Hall helped raise $70 million for rough sleepers. This world is full of great humans like Ron, Denver, and Ron's wife Deborah, who should never be reduced to "white", "black", "privileged" or "homeless".
i wouldnt put a pig"white" in my house even if they were going through hell
Amanda L you're a disgusting human being
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭 What a beautiful movie
GREAT Movie !!!
"They're looking for handouts instead of using their hands for work". It's funny cause Jon Voight actually feels that way.
While corporations get hundreds to thousand $$$ handouts we don't label them as such. When the poor need help they have a terrible label. We need to help the poor rise up to shine. The top 1% don't need the hand outs. Stop giving it to them Gov.
People in the comments complaining about "white savior movies" need to knock it off. Cause if Hollywood never even made these movies, you'd still cry racism and crow that Hollywood never acknowledges the hardships of disenfranchised black people.
Those aren't the only two options for black actors you know. Hollywood could make a few more movies with black people in positions of power... That'd be nice
+Katie Rourke They have made those roles. Where have you been?
SJWs are never appeased
crackcrock lol how his original comment makes no sense. how could someone complain about a movie that hasn't come out.
I'm all for saying the movie looks mediocre at best. But I see no racist connotations in the slightest. To try and help some one down on their luck is a good message I'd say and I've given black and white homeless people alike some money if I had any spare bucks on me when ever I could. You make it a race issue if you hyper focus on it and look past that it's just people trying to help each other and in a lot of ways the black guy is helping them see past their petty problems(or at least i assume from the trailer). If it were some black guy helping some homeless white guy SJWs would cry just as much that it makes the black guy look like a jerk some how yadda yadda. But again... doesn't look like that great of a movie, I think we can agree on that.
Title triggered me, trailer made me feel better about it.
Beautiful story/movie
What a beautiful film OMG
I just saw an exclusive premiere of the movie. It was pretty bad, however, Renée Zellweger was the saving grace of the film. She worked with what she had with the awful script and turned it into something powerful. That still does not change the movie was laughable (not in a good way) but Renée Zellweger is wonderful.
I'm here for Olivia Holt
