    I lITERALLY have been asking around for someone, somewhere to pleeeeeez post a short diy small batch sourdough starter because it's JUST ME.. and i don't wanna mess around with a ton of it....!! so THANK YOU!!!!!

      @@countrysparkles What I do and have done for years is overnight bread, so the dough ferments.. esp when I leave it for 14-18 hours. What i always do is add yogurt or buttermilk to it. This time, for my starter,I added only 1 tsp of flour, 1tsp of yogurt and the water from the yogurt. I usually strain my yogurt but didn't this last time so there was enough water to make my starter thin out. I put it in a small glass container with mesh covering to get the bacteria to start the fermentation process and just check it a few minutes ago and the smell is alreayd a sour smell,...!
