I recommended this one, thanks for reacting to it. I kinda wished you'd watch the original video, just because it's an acoustic session and you could see the instruments being played too, but I'm also glad you watched this one since it had the lyrics and translation.

Arabic music influenced spanish music witch influenced latin music. Arabic civilisation lasted 8 centuries in Iberic peninsula. parts of Iberia (Andalucia in south spain) were many times part of Morocco

😮😮😮It's like in ancient China poems criticising the Emperor could get the poets killed.

This is a little information that may be useful in knowing the musical influences between peoples
Well, Spain was under Arab and Moroccan rule for 8 centuries.
Europe was able to take Spain back from the Arabs (with their branches) only four hundred years ago.
At that time, Spain was the center of science, culture and art for the entire European continent.
The Arabs (Phoenicians) had a very old presence in Spain. Before the Vandals immigrated to it. Which later took their name. As for the French Goths, they were not able to control it for a long time because its inhabitants (Phoenicians and Vandals) sought help from the Arabs in order to get rid of the Goths. They were the reason for the entry of the Muslim Arabs into Spain and their stay in it for eight centuries.

      I can't recommend anything.
Historical writings tend to be biased.
Western writings glorify the Romans and Greeks, and see them as the source of civilization.
Arabic writings glorify the Arabs and see them as the ones who taught the Greeks Jews and Indians writing and arts. There is more than one alphabet, all of which were produced by the Arabs. Some of them date back to the savannah era in the Arabian Peninsula.
I would be biased if I recommended a specific book.
You can see the bias even in this little comment. hhhhhhh

Your ear IS still surprised with thé quarter note that only in oriental arabic music exist. Listen precisly to the oud you're understand what l am talling about. Thé oud is an arabic guitare wich give thé quarter cause there is no métal séparations in the manche (french word). Stay safe. In this one spécificaly there is modern influence. It's from the deep malhoun morroccan héritage 😊
