They are not forgetting Doncic, they are purposely forgetting Doncic. Last game Doncic was the hero but all the praise in American media went to Kyrie for getting the Mavs going in the first half. When Doncic scores 25 and more in the first, they will talk about how Kyrie took over in the 4th. SAS is the only guy who didn’t vote for Doncic for first team in 2 years in a row, you know it is not a coincidence.

valid points, but mainstream media won’t wanna admit that. Basketball and the NBA is an American sport, supposedly leagues ahead of everywhere else. A lot of people would genuinely argue that college basketball in NA is more competitive than Pro ball in Europe. Luka hasn’t received enough shine for the level he came into the league at.
Luka since his 20 years was experienced player. Only people who haven't seen him and didn't know anything about him think that he needed to experience some things. He hasn't won title before because he hadn't good team enough to acomplish that, not because he had lack kf experience. Luka won Euro Basket title at age of 17, at age of 18 he was Euro League champion and MVP. When Booker was 24 years, Luka was already more experienced basketball player than him in that time. And hr still is.

That is not even a close call. Luka has been on another level his whole career. People seem to forget that Luka also dragged his team to the wcf at the same age Ant is now without any other star. They started powell and dinwiddie was the third option while Ant has KAT, Gobert, McDaniels and Conley. Not to mention all of his success outside the nba. When I remember correctly Luka almost took his 2 million people country to an olympic medal while Ant somehow managed to lose with team USA last in last years world cup.

And we must know that Luka was injured the whole series.
Luka also brings a lot of value just because he has the size of a PF instead of having a small PG. He can defend every position and is a very very capable help defender when locked in. Rebounding is another huge plus. People get distracted from flashy plays but Luka is actually the better defender overall in these playoffs.

Exum, Green, Lively, Powell ... almost beat Minnesota this year. Against their starters. No Luka. No Kyrie. No Gafford. No Washington. No Jones. Also, want me to start putting up the stats of Luka vs Edwards? I can. It is not even close. They are not even comparable. Last game you clearly saw this. Luka had 29 on 15 shots. Edwards had 16 on 24. Luka had more assists. More rebounds. The same number of steals. This is with Luka constantly being double teamed and playing with 4 injuries.

He meant KAT and Ant are just emerging as playoff performers, but Luka and Kyrie have already proven themselves a lot more in the playoffs. He wasn't talking about age, it was a compliment of sorts to Luka and Kyrie, basically saying Ant and KAT are trying to rise to a level where Luka and Kyrie already reside.
