So, funny story. I tend to really talk super fast when I’m excited about a project. Well, I was really, really excited about this project so I had to literally slow my voice down in editing. I promise I don’t have a cold and I promise I’m not sad but if I didn’t do it some of the instructions got lost. Southern girls can talk fast y’all!!! If it bothers you too much, try watching the video in fast speed. Use the little wheel in the bottom right of your video screen to adjust it. Sorry!! But it really is a funny problem to have!! Have a great day!
Sweet Maymay, I'm from the Northeast...New York, and I talk fast too. I often have to deliberately slow down when I'm conversing. I've gotten better since moving to Arizona 20 yrs. ago. I think it's more of a girl thing. We have a lot of genuine wisdom in our pretty heads and it needs sayin'. Just sayin'. :D
This is perfect!! I send out at least 77 Birthday cards a year. I love the thought of making them ahead of time and then just pulling them out when it's time to mail them!! All of the cards I send are hand made , many of them inspired by you!!! Thank you so much for your awesome tutorials!! God Bless!!
This is so stinkin cute, love it. My granddaughters youth group is having an auction to help them all go to San Fransisco, to help with the homeless for a week. She's asked me to make as many items as I can for the auction & I think I'm going to make a couple of these. It's a great idea, thanks Maymay. Hugs... Linda
Thanks for this tutorial. While I don't see it as an annual B/D organizer, I do see it as a card organizer (Get Well, Sympathy, Thinking of You, Encouragement). I often do a gifting of these cards (4 ea. w/matching envelopes). I've done the boxes, the bags and wanted something different for this year and there you go, MayMay... Thank you!
You can do this with shipping envelopes too. For A2, use 6x9, seal, cut in half to get a 6x4.5 horizontal accordion book. For A7, use 9x12, seal, and cut in half for a 9x6 horizontal accordion.
Love it!!! Going to turn it into a recipe book for (hold my head in shame) recipes torn from magazines. Then another for my aunt who joined a dinner club where they take turns with cooking. Have been sending her recipes all decorated up like your "make a fuss" greeting cards. Now she can have something to keep them in??? Then love the idea of making seasonal card sections. Made a couple of Easter cards yesterday that run the risk of hiding or even getting forgotten by Easter....Thank You!!!!! so very much
Maymay you are awesome! Great tutorial, I didn’t find that you spoke fast at all. I can’t wait to try this. This has inspired me to use the brown paper bags I’ve had for years to make this accordion album as a thank you album for my daughter’s’ soccer coaches. I can use each bag to represent each of the players and add notes from each of the girls! Thanks Maymay!
What a great project !!! Super cute for all kinds of things... photos to scrap, receipts, bills to pay, and the list goes on !!! Thanks for the great tutorial !!!!
Thanks, Maymay! Another great idea! I will use mine for family birthdays and anniversaries. I'll put the birthday list on the front and the anniversaries list on the back. I'll also make one for the heart group cards making a bag for each person I'm praying for.
I so love this and can't wait to get in my craft room & make one or two. I am sure our 7 yr old granddaughter, Hayden, who loves to craft with her Nana, will want to make one with me for her to put the cards she makes in hers. Thank you so very much.
Receipts for taxes, orders for home crafting business or even keepsake envelopes for art work your children do. You could do a bag book for each child. It would help dhow progress. It could also be used for your child's years. Put a photo and any other " mileage " type things. I can think of a million uses! Thank you.
Love the album! It is beautiful are resourceful. Will have to wait a bit to make one since in down with the flu. Watched the majority live, then watched the replay of what I missed. It would make a great gift with cards in it for different occasions. Mother’s Day idea.
So cute! A few years ago, My Daughter made me a slightly larger paper bag recipe album I use to keep my clipped recipes in. She included recipes my Mother used to make for Family Gatherings.
I love how you just keep rolling out cute ideas or recreate for us. Your videos are so easy to follow. I simply love your voice and mainly watch. I am trying to get more Scrapbooking done, but would love to do more of your projects too. Never enough time. I feel like if I shared it would be a few months behind, but you don’t mind, right? 😂 Keep crafting! This one I really should hop to it because I am getting so far behind with card making.
This would make a great gift for someone who doesn't scrapbook to keep newspaper articles and pics of their kids in. So many of my non-scrapbooking friends put their stuff in envelopes
Love it! Great idea! How about precut die shapes (ovals, circles, squares...) or alphabet dies? Pre stamped greetings- Happy Birthday, thinking of you, happy anniversary etc. Sky is the limit. Thank you for such a great idea!
I LOVE this mini. I make minis for my grands each year when they come to spend a week with me. This will be a great one to add to my ideas!! Thank you.
Ooh. I am making 2 of these! 1 for Birthday and 1 for all other occasions. I LOVE paper bag projects. Thank you for your inspiration and the freebie printout💗
Love it, great idea! Holiday scraps and embellishments to use the next year. Love your teaching, I like all the talking. Louisiana girl, been raining cats and dogs here this week, Red River is a rising.
Love it. Gonna make a birthday one and I think one for categories like anniversary, sympathy, get well, new home, new baby, etc. Thanks for the inspiration
I love this idea for not only for cards but for a monthly holder to keep appointment cards invitations, event notices, tickets (for events or drawings) and use an appointment calendar to keep track of the actual appointment but know that all things required for it will be in the monthly envelope. Also, while you were showing the results of stamping the months on the tabs, I thought of something. Since both side of each tab were the same, you could actually have had all the tabs the same direction (for example on the right hand side) for the stamping and adhering of the lists and then just flipped every other one to get a left and right alternating. I was trying to think of a way that I wouldn't mess up and realized this would work as long as I put a list on both sides or not on any side .
This is awesome. Would be great for Christmas Cards you start making early say in July. Just keep them in there with your Christmas Card list. You could do one or two bags for family, Co workers, Teachers, Craft Buddies, Neighbors, etc etc Also a gift idea to do for a relative, craft buddy, someone who also like to organize their cards, or receipts, etc Just another idea.
Sooo cute! I think this will help me make several cards months ahead of time. I’ve been making cards for 3 years but I make cards as I need them. And that is NOT working! I miss about 2 out of 3 birthdays, so if I can make several cards months ahead that would help me tremendously. Thanks so much, Maymay!
Great project Maymay! I think I'll make one up for birthdays and one for other occasions. Thanks for showing us that you use what cha have... i.e. The Amazon box lid and that you don't get everything lined up perfect... i.e. the front cover lined up perfect. I love that you are real with us and don't edit everything to perfection! Thanks ☺️ ((hug))
Hi Maymay. This is such an amazing project! I love it so much! There is so much this can be used for! I also think it would make a great gift and fill it with personalized stationary and or cards they can give out!! Awesome video. Thanks so much. You always inspire me sooo much. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 😍
Thanks Maymay, I really like this project! I think I'm going to try and make one, this coming up week. If I do, I will post it on the blog. Have a great weekend!
I am making this for my sister for birthday cards. Thanks for this, I was making myself crazy trying to design one (she has a lot of birthdays- she's been put in charge of the office birthdays) that would hold a lot of cards, but not take up too much space!
This would be awesome in a “kit”. I don’t have the tab punch or the monthly stamps and totally could modify it but this as a “kit” would make a great gift.
Love this ideal I always get the budget books at DT for my cards to go in for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, but some mouths there are not enough room they begin to tear so this is want I need, tfs
I might us it for pre-cut card stock. What is the adhesive you are using? I am new at card making. I really enjoy your video's. I have to do this on a budget any suggestion on how to do this?
Maymay this is so adorable! Love this idea and soon as I have a minute or two I am going to be making some of these. And how cute is this paper! And great idea for making it for all kinds of different cards. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend! p.s. and you do not talk to much. lol
I liked the receipt idea. I work from home and need to keep my receipts. Could edit your PDF to show Date and Description of items on receipt. I think I’ll have a greeting card one as well.
Thank you for the tutorial as usual! I am wondering if you can do a tutorial on how you make/made your name/address sheets or other printable similar that you have made ? I’m sure it is simple - I am just someone that needs to see it being done! Have a Blessed weekend!
I have now made 2 of these incredible organizers and have shown it to some friends. We will be making more of these! I'd love to show you, but how do I get pictures to you? Thank you for showing us how to make these!
This is so cool because I am so bad at remembering birthdays. This would be cute for stamps and die storage on a budget . Thank you for sharing. Still working n my craft room smiles
Omg I love this!! I'm gonna make these for presents...I know a bunch of people who would love to get this! And put in a few handmade cards as well!! :) tyfs
Love,l9ve,love it I made one like it a few years ago it's very handy yours is so very cute I enjoy watching you so much thank you for sharing with us !!!
This would be great for embossing folders! You could create your page inserts, emboss the page, label the tab & store both in the pocket. Love this because I've been looking for a way to store my embossing folders with examples.
This is an awesome idea. I am going to make mine for small cutouts I have extra-for my cards. -- Like when I cut out 6 apples but I only need 3, but I make 6 to make better use of my paper. So this way I can put the extra die cuts- cut out by what kind of shape or thing it is. Does that make sense?

Oh okay , I got it
Too funny!!

The way you attach the ends together puts a really cute point on the bottom of the heart. Adorable. Thanks for the template.

What a terrific project. I'm making this for my cousin. We both takes card classes and I believe she will enjoy this organizer. Thank you.

Wow! The many, many ways to use this. Scrap paper, recipes, ephemera, and the list goes on. I will be making one (and many others).
Thanks, Maymay! Another great idea! I will use mine for family birthdays and anniversaries. I'll put the birthday list on the front and the anniversaries list on the back. I'll also make one for the heart group cards making a bag for each person I'm praying for.

That is really cute, Maymay. You could store packages of sticker thingys in there. They come in long narrow packages and they tend to pile up!!
I am making this for my sister for birthday cards. Thanks for this, I was making myself crazy trying to design one (she has a lot of birthdays- she's been put in charge of the office birthdays) that would hold a lot of cards, but not take up too much space!

How cute, MayMay!
Sticker storage and, with a slight modification of a few measurements, thickers storage.
This is a really cool project. It would be great if you were doing a driving trip across the country and had a sleeve for each state you visited.
Really enjoyed watching your video and learned some great tips. Thanks!!!
Very nice card holder!!
this is really great! I hope that it helps me to send out more birthday cards this way.

I died a little when you put the pretty flower side towards the cardboard. 😩
In the end I love the final project. I gotta get my hands on that flower paper though 😂😂😂

Thank you for sharing this-it is awesome!❤️
Maymay!!! Thank you. I do not know what else to say. Thank you!

Love it, I hope that I can give it a try soon.
This is adorable !! Thank you Maymay!
You could also take a lighter and melt the edges a little it to keep them from fraying. And most people have lighters for candles around the house.
Thank you for this video.
Love this book.
Love it. Now I have to find paper bags lol. Can see me using one for scrap paper also
The More Candles The Bigger The Wish 🎉 🎂
This is awesome! I can’t wait to make one!
