- I reviewed a 5 minute video by Brandon Tatum. I’m sorry, I had never heard of Officer Tatum before, and from looking at his video list, I imagine we would agree on a lot of things. But in this video he was promoting the worst of the arguments against the deity of Jesus, so we took the time to take his arguments apart, fully.

One can view themselves as a christian all the want but they’ve denied or changed scripture and would fall into the category of JW’s or Mormons. No longer viewed as christian by the rest of Christendom. Again, this is Christianity 101. We worship Jesus... as God.

But the son of God in human form can die and yet he did.

2. He claimed to be God plenty of times. Jesus called himself the I AM (John 8:24), Jesus put himself as equal of the Father (John 5:18)
3. The Father also calls Jesus God, Hebrews 1:8.
4. Jesus died but didn't cease to exist.
5. God can die if he puts on flesh to die in, which Jesus did. (John 1:1-14)
6. Jesus also says he will raise himself from the dead. (John 2:19-21, John 10:18)
7. The Father raised Jesus (Galatians 1:1) Jesus raised himself (John 2:19-21) and the Holy Spirit raised Jesus (Romans 8:11)

Wowza! That was a shellacking of a rebuttal! I've heard MMA fighters say, "There are levels to this game", and while listening to Dr. White's rebuttal, that's about all I could think about. Not only did Dr. White throw everything plus the kitchen sink at Brandon, but that sink had all kinds of scripture inside of it! Well done, Dr. White. As my late dogs would say, "Let's give him a round of a paws."

See, this is the problem I have with this MAGA movement. It has Christian decorations.... but a soldier has no business in civilian affairs. This election has taught me to be completely separate. Completely reserved for the Lord. No MAGA

Well that's what Christ said as recorded in the original Greek grammar by John at verse 8:58.
But how should that expression really be correctly translated into the English grammar?
For instance, notice at Jn. 14:9 the same Greek grammar from Christ occurs again where he tells his apostle Phillip literally;
"... So long a time with you, I am."
To which Bible translators now use the English perfective for the Greek present "eimi" ("I am") "**I have been** among you such a long time?"
So if Jn. 8:58 reads the same way lit. from the Greek;
"Before Abraham became, I am."
Shouldn't it therefore be consistently rendered into English likewise as;
"**I have been** in existence since before Abraham."?
This is commonly called a "Present of Past Action" (or "PPA") idiom in Greek.
Meaning that Jesus was not claiming a Divine title to be God or some other there, but was simply saying that he was already in existence prior to Abraham's birth and still is up to the present when he spoke.
To which the Jewish opposers there tried to stone him probably for laying claim to such a long supernatural existence, which they refused to accept is all.

Jesus clearly isn’t merely claiming to be an angel because there are other places in John’s Gospel and the Synoptics where Jesus makes claims only God can rightly make. I stopped watching B Tatum after he did the video on the DC capital riots. He expressed harsh attitude towards the people (mainly Christians) that shamed the behaviors that took place in DC. Tatum said something along the lines of “I’m so sick of people saying that we should just sick back and pray; We as Americans need to fight back because faith without works is dead anyway...” He was referring to people that were shaming the rioters and claiming they should stop the violence, be peaceful and pray.. His misinterpretation & representation of scripture hurt my heart. Now that I know his stance on my the king of king & lord of lords Jesus Christ, I feel much better for a previous decision to rid of him. I wish him no harm and I hope he repents of his satanic stances but until than I have nothing for him.
Brandon is free to comment on the Bible all he wants... and we are free to correct him (in love) whenever necessary! And.... it’s necessary!

I have encountered a large number of people who hold false beliefs. The fact they hold false beliefs does not cause me to drop my jaw (in the early days it did) - what causes me great sadness and the shaking of my head is when I show them in the Bible what the truth is - is when they stubbornly refuse to let go of their falsehood and embrace the truth. I have a great sadness and burden for them.

@@mitchellc4 From an anthropological (human) viewpoint, Jesus is a human being. While a human walking the earth, Jesus points to His Father in Heaven, who is God. He does this primarily for the benefit of every believer. Believers are those who have become children of God. As a child of God, the believer relates to God as "Our Father, who art in Heaven". While Jesus is divine, he is encased in a shell of human flesh. He is both God and man. He is the God-man. Jesus said that He and His Father are one - this is from a spiritual viewpoint. From a theological viewpoint, Jesus is God in the flesh He is Emmanuel = "God with us". In John chapter 1, Jesus is revealed as God. Also in this same chapter, Jesus is revealed as the Word who became flesh (human) and dwelt among us (other humans). Paul, who is a human believer, is viewing Jesus from a human viewpoint when he makes that statement you are making reference to.

I love Brandon Tatum. He is one of my fave political commentators and has done a lot of important work. He has a long way to go before he can be a Bible teacher but I hope he gets there.

God please protect Dr. James White at all costs 🙏 There aren’t that many that can defend your Word as good as he does it. He is desperately needed in these times.
EVERYTHING Tatum said comes down to arguments from silence. "Why didn't this person call him God?" Lack of evidence against your position in some places doesn't mean you get to ignore all the evidence.
Seeing this crop up more and more lately on Channels purporting to have a 'Christian' worldview in some sense. Don't know where this is coming from now, but I know the cult in which I grew up and this was one of its bread-and-butter doctrines. I guess that un-deifying Jesus plays well for those wishing to cultivate in followers the sense of being in a special club by adhering to a super-exclusive reading of scripture and 'the law'. Salvation through faith leaves little room to feel swell on account of our own merits.
Though I don’t agree with your systematic soteriology, i whole heartedly agree with you on this Mr.White.
I definitely do not watch Brandon Tatum for biblical advice.
But i really do love Brandon and watch him a lot. But i also pray for Candace Owens salvation! Love her too! Along with many others!!❤🙏

Jesus simply claiming to be the Messiah couldn't have been the primary reason why he was threatened. Jesus was of the line of David. He had the right according to the Prophets to possibly be the Messiah.. His blasphemy was his claiming to be God. period
Only God can satisfy his own justice. Jesus is God in the flesh the perfect sacrificial lamb, for His people.
Brandon has been "studying" for 8 years, yet after I got saved, and started learning more about my faith, it only took me 1 year to learn everything I needed to know. I can tell you for sure, Jesus is both thee son of God, and God in flesh form. I dunno where Brandon get's this ideology from, but it ain't the bible, because if it was, he wouldn't be so bluntly ignorant towards the scriptures.. It seems to me he's cherry picking, and I'm not gonna lie, a lot of Christians do that, but you can't be Christian without Christ being in the word, that's not how that works. I had a lot of respect for Tatum, but after this, I dunno... I do hope he'll get his faith sorted out.

Also, the Trinity doctrine doesn't teach that Jesus is Yahweh, Oneness does. The Trinity doctrine states that Yahweh is the Father is God, Jesus is the Son is God, both are separate but equal. Jesus is Yahweh in the old testament was stolen from the Oneness doctrine by Trinitarianism. The Athanasian creed where the Trinity derived from never suggested Jesus is Yahweh.

It sounds like your child is discovering the trinity. Revelation 22:1 and Rev 22:3 state there is only one throne while it's also stating two names for who is on the thrown, and the grammar shows these two names are one in the same. How apprehendable is this?

Read it carefully, where In that verse did Jesus ever say he isn't good, or deny his goodness?. He didn't. In fact, in that very statement He affirms his deity. Basically it's supposed to be read in this context, someone calls Jesus good, and Jesus basically asks why He's called good if only God is good, basically He was trying to get the person who called him good to make the connection that by doing that, that person is calling Jesus God. Furthermore, a couple verses later, Jesus calls himself the GOOD shepherd (basically affirming that He is good but also, that title the "good shepherd", is a title that was applied to YHWH God in the Old Testament). So yeah Jesus didn't deny his deity in that text, he affirms it.
