I Moved Back to BANGKOK Thailand Alone 🇹🇭 Girls Night: Awakening Bangkok, Ice Skating, Little India

After living out of my backpack for the last year, I felt ready to settle down for a little while and there's no where I'd rather live than back in Bangkok, Thailand! While I was still traveling India, I found a lease takeover in Bangkok and took it right away.....not realizing I'd end up going back to my old English Teaching job an hour away 😅 However, Bangkok still feels like home as I'd lived there before for 2 years and some of my friends were still there too.
I start this vlog with my morning commute from Onnut, Bangkok to my job on the other side of the river. It took me an hour on the BTS, MRT, then a motorbike taxi (luckily last weekend I moved much closer)! I start every morning grabbing a coffee at 7eleven by my school with my friend and coworker Malerie - and this Friday morning was no different. After work we went to Saranrom Park where we met up with another friend, Dayna, for the start of Awakening Bangkok! This park had 5 light displays which we checked out including a giant disco ball, an interactive keyboard, and a cool display involving the first zoo in Thailand. Once we checked out all the exhibits in Saranrom Park, we walked toward the river where we got some free Schweppes and continued checking out more digital arts displays around the streets of Bangkok. We then eventually made it to the adorable Ong Ang Canal to have some amazing Indian food at Zafran Eatery before taking motorbike taxis home.
I spent the entire next day moving (which ruined our plans to go to the new Jodd Fairs...next week, I promise)! However we still managed to make it ice skating! We went to the Sub-Zero ice skate club in Ekkami, Bangkok. None of us had been ice skating since we were kids, so it took a while to get comfortable. We ended up having so much fun! I love Bangkok so much as there's always something going on!
