We left on Anthem a couple of times from Cape Liberty and that parking garage was never full and it's a larger ship. I love the helipad sail away and champagne, great video! -Marilyn

The parking garage was built when Quantum of the Seas (same size as Anthem) was the only ship in port. Now it’s Anthem, Adventure and Celebrity Summit in the summer. In the winter it’s only Anthem. Anyway that’s why the parking garage isn’t big enough. But they still have plenty of parking nearby as you can see. Great video!
I don't think I fit it into the video but I remark every time I go and park in the overflow area how amazing and helpful the crew are that helps with parking there. It's like old school New York when people really cared about what they do. It's always a great experience.
I have yet to go on a cruise, but I have been looking into it. The ship looks really nice. That is a nice view while wine tasting.
It's definitely worth a try!

@@DOUGandNIKI FINALLY Elite! (Thought I’d never get here.) Yours is the only video I found talking about the Elite level. I love the breakfast in Tuscany! And from your video, I learned about the free cocktails in the lounge … and, I think you said all over the ship? (during certain hours?)
I am on the Equinox departing this September to Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire! I’m 73 and dying to experience some really good snorkeling! I did not take the drink package for this trip. Makes me crazy… “always included” is no longer always included! I use Vacations to Go and their (fantastic!) site gives the lowest price, but they are “obstructed view prices” and not “always included”. Was able to get Concierge on this trip. I travel solo so usually pay 100% more single supplement! But this trip was only 30% supplement.
Would love to know who your travel agent is.
Then May 2023, I’m on The Constellation… Ravenna to Croatia, Santorini, Epheses, Mykonos and Rhodes. It ends in Athens. I’ve been looking for this so I can go back to Santorini for a week! (And do THE hike!) Then fly Santorini to Zurich and after a couple of days, fly home.
I love transatlantic… two trips on the Reflection. DYING to be one of the Edge class ships!

@@biblicalgodisonlytruegod WOW..all so cool. Well..we've been on the Equinox twice and always love it. I think the Constellation is the only Millennium class ship we haven't been on yet and we are taking her out of Tampa in 2022. I'm lucky..Niki is effectively my travel agent. She makes all the plans and just tells me when to be ready and what to have in hand! The rest I don't have to worry about ;)
@@DOUGandNIKI I’ve been researching cabins on Constellation. It is an unusual ship. The better suites are on Deck 6!
I like front of ship normally but a veranda on deck 9 … you have an iron overhang! Deck 7, unless you are in the very front, you will be looking down at the lifeboats, which I hate. Appears to me, the best veranda cabins on this particular ship, are Deck 8 in the rear. Concierge level.

I just went on the Celebrity Summit a month ago! Really enjoyed my time on that ship. :-)
We were on early in August. It's a great little ship. We love Celebrity Cruise line, we find it to be a great balance of luxury but still fun.
I like your hat Doug at the beginning of the film, very "Cruis-ey" outfit haha lol (i just made that word up). The terminal is pretty awesome too, really big. You have the perfect place for that wine tasting with a wonderful view of the ocean. There are a lot of food too, really a good perk for being an elite. I haven't had the opportunity to go on a cruise trip. I bet it would be an awesome experience.
Thanks. As with you we do a lot of travel. Some land based some cruises, they both have pluses and minuses. It's just about picking the right tool for the right job. If it's about good food and relaxing, it's hared to beat "the right" cruise.

I’m planning to cruise Celebrity for the first time 2019, so excited based on the video’s I’ve seen. I will be Elite in the Captains Club because of my status on royal Caribbean.
QUESTION: Do you know if Celebrity allows passengers to bring on board two bottles of wine per stateroom in your carryon through security check on embarkation day as royal does?

This is a small ship, it had like 8 different restaurants. Big ones will have like 30.
Where is the Cape Liberty Cruise Port? I'm guessing New York? The ship looks awesome! I did have a good laugh right at the beginning when Niki was going up the escalator to the ship - at the top, it looked like Al Sharpton was standing there waiting for you! LOL! I enjoy your laid back, easygoing videos!
