Very very true, accept the qadr first and expect the best from the Allah swt. Allah removes it faster because you have learned the lesson your Lord wanted to teach you. Because for a river to be beneficial you have to sometimes block it’s path of least resistance and divert it to harness its potential. And that’s why we humans are given pain and hardship.
I think it's important to note also that if a person finds himself if the lower 2 categories of response to a test, i.e. punishment or purification (he becomes further from Allah due to the sadness or he neither gets closer nor further away from Allah), then if this person finds out or is reminded about these levels, he can raise his level through intentionally altering the “symptoms” i.e. complaining less, responding to it by doing good deeds, reading about death etc. So that it becomes an expiation of sin rather than a punishment, or even becomes a means of elevation. And this realisation is actually a gift from Allah.
Of course. Our purpose is to be an Abdullah. We are here for one reason only. That doesn't mean we should ignore all the grand gifts from God in this dunya. We should use them the way it meant to be.
What lessons can we learn from the times when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ experienced sadness and anxiety, and how did the revelation of verses like those in Surah Ad-Duha and various supplications (duas) help him during these periods?
Life is a mess, that's for sure. My teens were a waste, 20s a waste and a blur, 30s a weird time, now 40s is looking back on the big sighs. Some good times but much depression and confusion and wanting to exit early. But whatever, going to go anyway, might as well wait it out. Happiness, I wish, and mostly see it through others and just a little with me. My goal would have been some more happiness as life would have felt better. But God is all about lessening the world and assisting randomness, pretty boring stuff, it's why I research the supernatural. ( Although some people have it much much worse)
The story of Ikarus is not talking going to space, its about literally going too close to the sun and burning which is accurate. Obv they just didn't know the distance of the sun at that point
Every soul shall have a taste of death, and We test you by evil : difficulties and by good : ease, by way of trial, and unto Us must ye return. The Prophets : 35, *Qur'an* The Prophets had it toughest.

Alhumdulilah for the good times and the bad times. Allah tests those that he loves. May Allah make our suffering easy and grant us what we desire.
