I downloaded this app some weeks ago and I’ve been trying to make it work with no luck… and here you again saving me with your knowledge, you are the best !!!
Thanks mate. I posted a picture of Orion Nebula that I took with my brand new iphone 15 Pro Max on Reddit. I used it on my Celestron 8SE and was stunned to see that the iphone captured green and blue colors with a 30 second exposure. No processing or editing. I used the native camera app, but will be trying out Astro Shaper on the next clear night.
I have already downloaded this app but I didn't manage to use it properly so far. I will use your suggestions and I hope for the best. Thank you for this video
Very interesting, I'm surprised apple haven't tried to compete with Google with a pre installed astro quality feature, but great there's something out there for Apple users to try and get pixel quality photos 😉😉great review as always 👌🏴
hi when i took a photo with this app there were a bunch of little sheet looking things in the corner of my screen. it was almost like all the pictures stacked up together, and I could see it in the corner. is there any fix to make them align perfectly?
Hi mate, I have an old iPhone 12 Pro Max, I can’t wait to try this app I have a feeling it’s gonna make the world of difference to the Milky Way photos I like to try and take. I can’t seem to find the link to the MagSafe one holder that you mention. Could you post the link please in a reply comment to me . I could only see links to Snapseed Reeflex. Thanks again for the incredible video, the time and effort that you put into these nice to see you are being rewarded with many more subscribers. I followed you for a fair few years now as you know. So congratulations on all the hard work and effort that you put in to all your videos. Just wondering if I’m in a really dark sky area and I do 100 seconds x50 pics would that look completely blown out? I’ll give it a try and report back in here.
Is the astroshader app for telescopes with automated tracking though? I have a pushto scope and I am confused to move the telescope when the DSO moves out of frame.
HI, I'm going crazy trying to find an identical Android app. then I would like to ask you if you know that the nd filter mode has been released in expertraw
Master, this app is brilliant! I have a question. Is there an iPhone app for regular photos in TIFF 16bit format? Because the only app I know that generates TIFF files is Reeflex camera. On my iPhone 13 Pro Max, it generates almost 50MB uncompressed TIFF files. But they are 8 bit. Is there an app that saves in TIFF 16Bit? Greetings from Poland/Wroclaw. 👍👍👍
It should be better than the native app since the native app uses 12megapixel and this app should take advantage of 48megapixel if shot in raw or at least 24.
Iphone 15 pro raw photos start appearing different when you go for edit button on iPhone or any other app (Snapseed). Why’s that and how to deal with it?
I’ve downloaded this app but it simply does not work on my new iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 18. I open the app and in settings, set what I want. When I press the shutter it counts down and then stops. Doesn’t finish the photo process. A big no for me. Nightcap is just as useless. Any thoughts?
Astroshader 😅 just need a slight tweak in description 👍
Thank you. I couldn't find it.
Hello, I am 15 years old, I come from Vietnam. I finished downloading after watching the video. I will try it next week, when Lunar New Year comes.
Best of luck!
The fact that you have captured a gas cloud in that nebula shows how good it actually is, and again, its free amazing
Name?

How did u get 30sec exposure ? Even with pitch dark condition I get a max of 10sec in native iPhone camera app
Shayne i have only just found you and your passion, it is bloody amazing. I need more detail on the iPhone tripod mount if you Ger chance to share.😅
Thanks for the 'Heads Up', Shayne, on this little gem of an app, I do 'collect' old iPhone models, this sounds perfect, stay awesome Boss 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thanks mate. Its a very small niche to shoot astro on phones I guess.

No problem!!
Does it work if you put it on the eyepiece of a telescope?
Awesome! Can’t wait to try it out! Thanks for sharing about it!!
Wow Awesome I can’t wait to try it thanks ! :)
What would be the best program to take pictures through a telescope on an iPhone 15 pro Max various objects (price is not important)
So would you use it on newer iPhones?!

Hard to believe we think of iPhone 12 as 'old', hell I have a collection including: 8Plus, X, XS XS Max ... now those are 'old' M8 😆
Is the astroshader app for telescopes with automated tracking though? I have a pushto scope and I am confused to move the telescope when the DSO moves out of frame.
Wow this looks like an amazing app! Will be trying it out at some point, thanks.
Thank you for this

Just thank you sir. Really
OMG that picked up the Orion Nebula!!
So goooooooood vidddd❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is there any app I can use for android??
So in this case we don’t need to do tracking to account for earth rotation?
Not with this app. Im currently testing a tracker with other apps. So stay tuned.

Can’t find Astro Shaper in Apple Store
I can't find it either.
It’s Astroshader
This is the app I use, it’s simple and easy to use with all the settings you need. In fact, the image in my profile picture was taken with this app.
How much Bortle Scale is there?
1
The name of the app and in the description is wrong!
I found it like this
AstroShader
It’s Astroshader
Wait, no raw support?
What's the "older iPhone" caveat about?
Night mode only came to the 11 and onwards. Anything older than that, is harder to photograph the stars
Also, what the hell is Apple waiting to give us a proper Astro experience 🙄
Any such free app for Android??
Not that I know of mate
Is there something similar for android?
Yes it's called the Pixel :)
@@andyfpt you have a pixel?
@@Ashy8405 yes the 7 pro. I just started to play around with the astrophotography mode. It's pretty cool.
damn I wish the Android Community would get onto doing some of these apps for us
Just get a Pixel... It comes standard.
It’s AstroShader
It crashes everytime I take a pic😭😭
The real Name is one word astroshaper
It’s AstroShader with a “d”
no need for a tripod. just put the phone down on the ground and walk away. the ground is even more stable than a tripod is
Sound perfect... as long as you dont care where its pointed.
It's always Apple only
Thats the way it is with most apps mate
RIP PIXEL 8 PRO.... this is why i've been asking google to for god's sake let us adjust our exposures...
It’s only free for 3 days!! $29.99 per/year after that.
Oh, I think that may be new. Im still using it and Im sure I have never paid for it.
@@ShayneMostyn I might be wrong? I’m not seeing the “3 Day Free Trail” anymore. I’ll,let you know in 3 days.
HEIF = HEEF
is that the Australian pronunciation?
@@ScottBaker1 actually I think I that’s how Apple pronounces it.
Unless you're in Germany.. where it's "HIFE" .. 🙂
Who the hell is gona not use their phone for 100 seconds that’s crazy
Heaps of people mate.
Android needs an app like this
this is crazy! thanks for the video!
