I've recently fallen back in love with Instagram. I love taking selfies and I love sharing my experiences with friends that I can currently only connect with online. Personally sharing selfies has been huge in my journey towards self love and less insecurity. Selfies are awesome!!
Great video! Something that I love about the Selfie is that in the past, you had to be extremely important or extremely wealthy to have your portrait made or to be remembered--now almost everyone has that capability of being known c:
I never really thought much of Instagram for a long time, although my friends really wanted me to make an account. I finally did about 3 months ago, and I've found myself surprised by how much I like it! I think it's a really cool way to see what everyone is up to and it allows me to connect with people who I know, but don't usually talk to. I'm glad to see that you're back on Instagram and I'm looking forward to more pictures of Larkin :)
I really like Instagram. It's like twitter for pictures, and I love twitter. I love looking at what other people do and photograph, and it gives me the chance to see some really beautiful photography and video. I enjoy crafting a good picture and creating a collection that I like to look back on. I often go through my own Instagram profile and I really like looking through the pictures I've taken and shared. It's fun for me to pay close attention to and be deliberate about what I post. It's a facet of me that I use to express myself to myself, and to others.
I love instragram! :D Both mine and others - it seems like a great way to share your own life kind of intimately, but still on your own terms. I love the filters, because they're loads of fun to play with. Also, I really liked you kind of going through the history of social media. It's weird to realise that for people our age (wow that makes us sound old - also I'm 24, for clarification), social media hasn't been around forever... even though, to me at least, it feels like it. Weird! Fascinating! Anyway, I really enjoy seeing your photos, so I hope you stay on insta and keep enjoying it!
I feel like smartphones got big when i was in high school so i guess i've had a little more exposure but I'm still way not comfortable with taking selfies. Especially not in public. I think there is this culture about selfies being vapid which is kind of annoying, or maybe the culture is just in my head. I guess I don't like the idea of a taking a picture just to take a picture, but I love the idea of self-portraits and what selfies can do as an artistic thing. but i want to like the idea of taking pictures just to take pictures because, for one, I wish that I could see more of what my parents and grandparents look like/did throughout their whole lives. long comment, probably could have been worded better. summary: I really liked this video, it made me think
I just downloaded instagram last week. I was considering applying to an office job that had a social media element so I got it to play with, but I haven't opened it since I downloaded it. I'm excited to play with it. Facebook has become no fun for posting pictures because it's always just my mom complaining that a picture isn't flattering enough, which I just don't care about.
