Living Dinosaurs in the Congo: Emela Ntouka
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 вер 2024
- Since the early 20th Century, western explorers have told tales of an aggressive, horned prehistoric animal dwelling in the Congo rainforests. While some have suggested that this cryptid, known as the Emela Ntouka, might be a new species of rhino, the majority opinion seems to be that this creature is a living Ceratopsian dinosaur. Just how likely are these claims? Find out in this new video in my African cryptid series!

i only recently discovered your channel and I am LOVING the cryptozoological content. Your dry british humour gives a sense of fun and sophistocation to your videos. Keep up the good work.
FOOLS, it's a Crystal Palace Park Iguanodon come to life!! XD
the reason why no one can find an living ceratopsian dinosaur in africa cause they were never been there in the first place.
Your right. They are in the Amazon.
@@dg-vg9di nope. they are in both asia and north america.
@@andrewgan557 says who? The pitifully limited fossil record or the radically misinterpreted geological record? Where do you think all of these massive fossil beds in sedimentary rock around the world came from in the first place? Science admits that fossilization is an extremely rare occurrence under current conditions yet offer no explanation as to why there would be fossil beds scaled in thousands of acres worldwide, why? I'll give you both answers at once, there was a massive global cataclysm which created _all of the_ fossil beds simultaneously and it was nowhere near 65 million years ago.
@@JayWkingdomskrumble in some rare cases alot of fossils are found.
@@andrewgan557 I wouldn't call it rare, it seems more like the standard. There are places like the La Brea tar pits which only comprise about 20 acres of land and they contain many fossils but where does the tar itself come from, where does any of the coal, oil and natural gas found all over the world come from? They're all the derivatives of decaying organic matter trapped deep underground at high heat and pressure, primarily underneath sedimentary rock. The massive volume of organic matter required to produce those deposits could not have become trapped under 1000's of feet of inorganic sediment by a slow and gradual process. Sandstone, siltstone, mudstone, shale, ect. do not turn into coal, oil or natural gas over time, however, plants and animals do, generally as the result of being suddenly entombed by sediment laden, global, mega-tsunamis triggered by oceanic asteroid impacts.
Ceratopsians without crests are so cursed
A Rain Forest Rhino.
Similar to the Javan and Sumatran Rhinos.
Yus! Another video has been posted!
Thanks for the comment ;)
Shockingly it's only just dawned on me that there were no African ceratopsians, I'm amazed by that lol
Hey you make good videos I'll give you that. Aside from that creepy polar bear lol. Ok seriously question here. I heard there was a supposed cave drawing of the long necked creature. I don't know if you heard about it but there was supposed to have been one. Just curious to see if you know anything about it? I really have to also ask the geological column where some of these fossils are found have a lot of marine creatures fish claims in with the Dinos isn't that kind of odd. Also why is there not the same or similar rates of layering today? We been using Roman roads in a lot of places in Europe without anything covering them. If I understand correctly isn't the hell creek formation like meters and meters deep? Thanks and have a good day
We're very lucky, indeed, that ceratopsians died out when they did. I happen to know, from personal experience, that not only were they bloody huge behemoths, they were also highly territorial, temperamental, and violent as well. I'm not sure that our early human ancestors could have survived at all with such monstrosities charging about the landscape. We dodged a bullet there.
Can I take a ride in ur time machine with you?
From personal experience?
I have a theory, I repeat: this is just a theory! What if Emela Ntouka is surviving and new species of Elasmotherium?
Unlikely
Nah, Elasmotherium was restricted to Eurasia, and is unlikely for these rhinos to survive such hot, humid or arid environments.
It's a Rhino. Possibly an unknown species of Rhino, at that. I have a couple books on cryptozoology that outline this creature, and they all end up suggesting it's some form of Rhino, similar to the ones on Sumatra that live in the forests there.
This is one worth trying to capture, I'd say.
If it is a rhino, then it is an aquatic one. Our expeditions to Cameroon have identified two such animals. One type lives in the savannah between Cameroon and the Central African Republic and possesses a neck frill and multiple horns. The forest animal apparently possesses two horns (one beside the other) similar in appearance to the Arsinoitherium and is fully aquatic. These animals are most likely not dinosaurs, even if they resemble one. However, my presentation includes actual native drawings of them. Very interesting 🤔 i wish dinosaurs 🦕 really exist today. You never know Earth is a strange world 🌎. Thank you for your Video 🙏
Counter theory to the mokele-mbembe being a sauropod... Paraceratherium.
Im just sayin. It could be mistaken for a sauropod. Its more recent so it has a very miniscule chance but still higher than that of a dinosaur and it was a breed of rhino. So it fits with every currently available theory.
@@jamielishbrook2384 agree
.....That makes a scary amount of sense. I was thinking some sort of Forest Elephant, personally, but that works too.
Sounds remarkably like a Rhino...
A wise man once said"life always finds a way".
It's "life finds a way", you dolt.
Perhaps Dinos and other Ancient Animals were still alive. But they are rather shy.
One scientist to another, you astound me.
I don't think its a dinosaur. More like some form of tailed Rhino or proto rhino species. It makes more sense it being an undiscovered mammal instead of a prehistoric species of dinosaur never seen in the fossil record.
All rhinos have tails.
@@beastmaster0934 Yeah, and it being a type of rhinoceros would explain why it is often depicted with mammalian ears.
Is the Kongo Rainforest to well explored for a jungle rhino species to live there? I mean there are rhinos in asian jungles and in african jungles there are unique jungle species for savannah animals like giraffes, bush elephants and hippos. The species I am talking about being okapis, african forest elephants and dwarf hippos.
I am genuinly wondering and invite me to prove me wrong.
I wonder if the Mokele Mbembe and Emela Nokuta have a rivalry considering they both live in the Congo River. I also wonder if they two ever came into contract with the Kashi Rex as both are very aggressive.
I love this analysis!
At last. A sensible opinion.

Is it weird that this cryptid’s appearance reminds me of my dog.
What’s the one eyed polar bear about? It seems to pop up randomly throughout the videos & is very off-putting.
keep it up good work
yeah. based on the actual information it sounds like both are more likely rhinos by the description. perhaps unknown varients if given that but rhinos none the less
Oh it's totally some kind of Rhino.
Somebody should try to catch one, figure out if it's a new species, which it very possibly is.
@@TheZombieburner likely it was some form of white or black rhino when the species lived in further out regions than they do now. there is possibility it can be a 'new' rhino but i'm betting it was one of the more commonly known species
Kasai rex attacks a rhino
Emela ntouka attacks elephants
Mokele mbembe attacks hippos
Sounds like something is out there but it's not a Ceratopsian or a rhino.
very sad he has more views than subscribers

Thanks for reminding me to check - just subscribed :)
It’s a rhino
I did 400th like yay

I've often wondered why crocs and many other reptiles survived the so called asteroid hit. But no dinosaurs? It seems like a rather selective extinction. And as for the kt boundaries, the dinosaur bones run out long before you reach the level of said boundarie. You'd think at that boundarie it would be thick with bones.
Because for one, crocs, birds and other reptiles were small and were very adaptive to their surroundings.
Large dinosaurs (excluding birds) however were large and required large amounts of resources to feed, something that wasnt available as large numbers of their kinds and plants were eradicated at that time.
The crocodiles that survived werent really big, they were quite small
Crocodilians have a lower metabolism than any dinosaur, and can go months without food (crocs in the driest parts of Africa may only eat once a year when the herds cross the rivers). This combined with their general adaptability and sedentary lifestyle allow crocs to survive conditions that many other creatures cannot.
@@retardcorpsman Most reptiles survived due to their low metabolic rates and low specialization. Birds and mammals survived due to their small size and metabolic rate.

Thanks for the additional info ^^
Maybe the have evolved to adapt to the conditions of Africa
Impossible. It resembles the anachronistic version of what dinosaurs used to look like
Very possible
Not likely

Explain the thousands of black stones from South America showing people riding dinosaurs.
Iirc, those were fake stones that were made by a creationist, so they are most likely fake.
@@average_nut why the name? I throw in info just as much as anyone else. But those stones were never fully explained as being either authentic or fakes. There are well over 50,000 of them. All different shapes, all different sizes. You got the same anomalies in the various Central American countries with those stone heads being dug up. Some are the size of small cars. They can’t be explained. Many have facial features that are not of the native people’s in the region. If you think they are fake then show the evidence. They’re not factory produced so who carved them? Why so many. For added info, if you go to Egypt, they have a temple with carvings of a helicopter, airplane and a submarine. They are not fake. They’ve found ancient toy airplanes in tombs. They’re not fake. There is a lot of cherry picking as to what people except and not except.
Good question. Those stones although called fake have been around for a long time. Interesting that they show the dinosaurs with their tails erect . Out straight. It was assumed that they dragged their tails until recently
Those stones are fake and are called ica stones. Trey the explainer did a thorough video on them and were made with dentist drills and sold to foolish tourists
@@jadehalvorson9504 that was disputed. They didn’t confirm anything
And not all the dragons/dinosaurs were killed off. Many survived in Africa. Its like gods little zoo over there.
Source: your ass.
Prehistoric is really preflood. And yes Noah brought some of the behemoths or dinosaurs on the ark. They were all grass eaters. Even in the 11th century and forward the Chinese emperors had dragons is what they called them pulling theyre chariots or wagons or whatever they called them.
We've got a creationist here ! keep your distances folks, his stupidity might be contageous !
Lol
Exploring and documenting just cause they are old don't make them myths sure many stories can and do change but the core truth survives money exploring honest people wrote down what they saw and did to document facts to teach others the truth of the world they knew not
My friend in a world tht we ourselves have not yet fully explored doesn't mean anything is dead or alive they can b simply new animals of tht genus or it could actually b a dinosaur tht evolved during it's time alive we cannot rule out anything yet
You can exclude certain things by using science, just like i just don't think there is a ghost behind me and i just cant see it or are fliying whales in the sky and most of the sky is unexplored.
What kind of freak starts a post with "my friend", anyway?
