A long Gundam fan here. I was one of those who played this game before watching 00 proper (I was busy at the time + wanted to just bing-watch the whole thing in one go). I was surprised they were added to the game and kinda didn't know how to feel about them (had the whole "the new kids on the block thinking they are cool" vibe, with all the attention being focused on them), and mainly got this game because it's one of the few that had the whole Wing story (my favorite Gundam anime to this day). So I played a bit, and reading through their story, I started to actually like them a bit by bit. After the Trans-Am introduction bit, I immediately stopped the game and went to watch the anime. Loved every minute of it and now it's my 2nd most favorite Gundam/Mecha anime of all time.
After listening to this song for like a whole year and a half (and comparing it side by side with OE's version), I think I can safely say that one of my favorite parts about this is the fact that the guitar and violin swap throughout it. Z2 overuses strings, but I think they used them awesomely in here.
Well, certainly the bass was good, the strings during the refrain and the first chorus were well done, the guitars were ... Freaking awesome, and I have to say, the drums were better than they did in OE. They balanced out the strings and the guitar, which is a nice touch, if I might say. then again, the upbeat feeling's more present in the OE version. But I think this theme is great, nonetheless. Banpresto sure does make good themes for their games.
Much like the Guardian, the only real problem about this BGM is that the best part doesn't come in until one minute in, which'll probably be the end of the attack animation by then.

Setsuna was a boss, has a broken Gundam and still finds the time to demolish the A-Laws all over the world before he gets the 00.
I have to admit, I FANGASMED when 00 Gundam showed up. xD
+BlueJavelin The same =3

Hot take but I like this one more than the original with lyrics and everything.

Suddenly, using this song with Macross Frontier mechs fits so much.

why the fuck is this song so hard to find?
Lol. I feel you bro, i try to find this song in youtube too
I think I prefer this version to the original song.
And then defeats GN powered MS with a Flag.
And in Z2, the Lancelot Air Cavalry!
Not to mention he to do that for a good 4-5 years....with a broken gundam.
It sounds like they're switching between off between guitar and violin, but I can't quite tell which is which.
This sounds infinite times better than those god-awful "pitch-shifted" versions, or those "girl versions" I see everywhere.
Anyone else hear "Run run Yeah" during certain parts of the song? Its faint, but I know i'm not crazy
