Heard this song on srw first time, after 30 mins of gameplay I immediately stopped the game and watched entire getter armageddon series. Man this theme, robots, and the voice acting... all of them were like they're born just to burn the man's heart.
TheBakeroot Hayato did say that in order to pilot the robot's, you had to be skilled or insane. Combine that with a pilot whose constantly called "batshit crazy" and it stands to reason that their robots have to look evil.
@Mickothebest The fact that they're in the same game (and the fact that Kamina and Ryo become friends) just makes it even more awesome than an actual crossover fight.
They're awesome in fundamentally different ways. Ryoma is exemplary badass in a classical meaning of the word. A hero from the legend. A berserker who can take on pretty much anything with his bare fists, and becomes plain unstoppable in Getter-1. Kamina, on the other hand, is a more grounded badass, he's badass exactly because he posesses no extraordinary powers but acts as if he was an invincible demigod. He knows about his mortality, but he is eager to play the role of a hero to people he's attached to. Though he's just a man, he can accomplish a lot and inspire other people to even greater acts.
I'm still patiently waiting for Getter Emperor to show up in SRW. Maybe one day as a secret boss? Honestly, a lot of fun things can be done like Shin Mazinger Zero's manga.

Manga stuff rarely gets into SRW but since Hi Nu & Nightingale along with Crossbone, SEED Astray did get into a SRW, somehow Kaiser Nova also made it in, it is possible for Emperor to come out...one day.
Best I can interpret it, it is basically the same I I interpret the end of Getter Robo Armageddon: an eternal, endless fight to keep it from existing/getting out of the universe/dimension it is in. And given that it is just Ryoma in Shin, it is ten times more awesome.

@VegetaTheInsanity In case you didn't notice; they Super Tengen Toppa Giga Drill Break'd the universe they were in, sucking it into the tip of the drill. It's not like they have a choice on just undoing everything around them.
Getter will probably eat Lagann or Gurren Lagann. The writer for TTGL helped work on Getter manga previously, and what happens in the manga and hinted at in the OVAs is what happens in the prologue of TTGL: entire galaxies are against them (they even use time travel to try and stop Getter as well).

But like I said we would need the Emperor to have be either an enemy or an unseen force mentioned since he is naturally an enemy to things that live since he absorbs everything. Well, Shin vs Neo debuted in R (On the GBA), and they didn't even cover the whole storyline for New Getter in NEO. Also, from what I've heard, R will be getting a remake.

Getter Emperor appears in Getter Robo Go's manga and Shin Getter Robo's manga and some others. It can absorb anything and everything it comes in contact with, including the pilots. Only Ryoma can pilot it because he's just that badass. I love STTGL, but Getter Emperor was DESIGNED to be invencible, as it does serve as a pseudo-moral-antagonist since it will eventually end the universe. Ryoma even goes as far as trying to get away from the Getter as he discovers that in Shin Getter Robo.

Spiral Energy is the pure power coming from the will to advance, given the possibility to do so (ie no beastmen), Getter is more akin to the need for the energy to advance/evolve, no matter the cost. In other words, yes, the Emp is stronger, but it is more possible that they would channel Spiral energy themselves to stop the Emperor from absorbing them, and the Emperor could become Spiral-powered instead of Getter-powered and stop absorbing shit.

The only definite way for him to lose to the super tengen toppa gurren lagann is if lagann destroyed all planets in the universe since getter can easily absorb one or a thousand depending on how much he already did. His first form alone was stronger than the three machines that made him up so he was already strong enough to destroy a universe.

Which Shin Getter series? Shin vs. Neo doesn't involve GE, Armageddon doesn't leave those implications, and I haven't seen New all the way to the end.
