It was brought to my attention that the Bygones I have is a V3, not a V2. You can tell the difference as the V2 doesn't have secondary functions labeld on the front of the pedal
I got the Pro. No secondary functions. The Stutter was expanded with Dropouts as well. And the delay was replaced with the Compander. It's chorus sound is almost more like a warbly doubletracker. It eats up my Nightsky rather nicely. Dope pedal. Better IMHO than the new GLoss pedal.
I was about to spend heaps of money on some of these…turns out I already own the cheapest of these pedals…a second hand HX effects for 300 bucks…happy me. That blooper seems really nice though. Great comparison video…thanks for spending your time doing this…
Thanks for the great long video.I don't have the time or budget to compare these pedals by myself.Currently, I'm enjoying Arcades in HX Stomp's Fx loop.No more wondering.
HX Stomp in its own right can do a lot of Lofi Effects. Just takes some creative thinking. One day I'll be doing a video of Lofi Stuff you can do with the HX line.
I am surprised the H9 portion didn't include the Tremoloverb (the Broken Glitch preset does a great Particle-type sound) or Analog Delay (with the ability to set bitrate) algorithms.
Yea, I don't play to the algorithm like some, I'm more interested in being helpful than being popular :) Glad you enjoyed it! Took a lot of effort to put together.
“Was Blooper missed?” No, Blooper was not missed. 😊 I still need to explore my copy of Arturia’s Tape Mello-Fi plug-in, which was being given away for free a few months ago.
With Blooper, I enjoy messing around with creating an extremely short loop in Sample mode, then using Stability and Repeats in Additive mode, for a close to real-time lo-fi effect.
@@chiefbucknell Nice man. I'm not super up on good plugins, but it's something I'd like to get more into (especially if there are free ones) so if you are privy to any further let me know.

Not as easy for me to tell if the video is hi-res, when the effects are wonderfully lo-fi 😉

@@RustyTonesJr Nice. I've got the Pro on pre order. Looking forward to getting it eventually.
Wow, dude . . . just, wow. I thought part 1 was the whole comparison. lol This is beyond sub-worthy! Thanks for your effort.
3 Parts in total. Longest shootout on UA-cam :) Hope it's helpful.

Surprised by the sheer amount of possibilities with the HX stomp!
Outstanding presentation. My vote goes to the GenLoss V2.
I have the Starlight and didn't even think of using it like this. Will definitely mess around with it now.
