I never welded before buying a Titanium flux core welder from harbor freight specifically to do this job (I had 4 broken bolts and failed at extracting them). After watching a few YT vids and about an hour of practice I was able to knock it out with no issues. Welder is definitely the way to go when getting these bolts out!
Side note: I had the exhaust manifold planed at the machine shop before re-installing b/c I heard that exhaust manifold warping is the cause of the broken bolts.

Yes, the manifolds warp and break off the studs usually at the ends of the manifolds so have a machine shop plane them flat to get a good seal. If you just replace the gaskets, you'll have the same issues later on. The old warped manifolds are already "seasoned" so its best to have them planed and re-use them.

Great enthusiasm and content...welders should be a shop tool, like a set of torches, but for like 150 on Amazon, those little Chinese welders kick ass and take names too...small footprint, throw it in a drawer until u need it then just plug it in and pull the trigger...done...im in upstate ny and everything exhaust, suspension and frame needs a torch, welder, nut buster or air hammer and chisel...

That MOPAR penetrating fluid is good stuff! Even the FordTechMakuloco channel (Brian) uses it! (If I remember right.) Pretty sure he says he buys it by the case. It works.

I watch all your videos love em man. I have a 2022 rubicon 3.6 e torque and a 2024 ram 5.7 hemi e torque love both vehicles but worry about the etorque in the long run. What’s your thoughts on the etorque system?

Yep. He should learn to weld and have a small welder for these jobs. This kind of welding is easier than welding things that have to be perfect.
