What do you think is the most fair way to release sneakers?
Release them on the app 2-3 weeks before the date then on the date and most in the stores
FCFS…i know its a disaster for a lot of reason,,,but there are a lot also wanted the shoes for themselves and not for resell..most of the time raffle is for people that pays money for Bots…like @Matthew Welty said,you just need extra effort on FCFS if you really need the shoes…
I like what Aime Leon Dore has been doing with the presale.
The FCFS method is terrible now days because now resellers pay homeless people to stand in line for them and cop the shoe.
FCFS only works in big cities in the US where you have a couple of cool sneaker stores. If you live anywhere else, buying shoes online is your only option. Doing releases Kickstarter style could work. You will definitely get it, if you apply early. Also Nike could do better with bot protection, and Adidas could make their Confirmed app available everywhere (or at least everywhere in Europe...).
Tend to agree that waiting in line, going in person is the most "fair" way. It's also fun to meet people in line and share stories about past pursuits. Maybe this is an old school way of thinking but I'd rather do this than compete with thousands of people, some of which don't even really want the shoe.

I also like that during sneaker realses some stores have an instore raffle where they give tickets and If you win they will call you and tell you to come in and get your pair. It's better than an app because you actually have to go into the store to try and win.
