True story: Michael Vick said that his welcome to the NFL moment went like this: he was in a game against the Panthers and he broke out of the pocket to dodge a sack and he turns on the Jets (so he thought). As he's stepping out of bounce a hand touches him on the shoulder. Said when he looked back, it was Julius Peppers!
😂 that’s just Vick being humble. go watch that game between the falcons and panthers where Vick smoked the whole panthers defense and was airborne outstretched 3inches above the ground for the score
I stood next to Peppers once and it's definitely startling how big that guy is. I'm a pretty solid 275 so I don't get caught off guard by the size of someone else very often. But Pep has the height to go along with incredibly thick and lean muscle mass. When you see him up close, he's about as impressive as a human being physically as I've ever seen. They definitely broke the mold when they made him.
How so? Just an observation. The dude is built different than anyone else I've ever seen before at 6'7 and 300 pounds. He's a better athlete than most anyone else who is 6'2 200 pounds. There aren't any more Julius Peppers out there. He even makes LeBron James look small.
I seen julius peppers during my official visit at maryland in 2001... this dude was on the far side of the field and maryland ran a swing pass to Bruce Perry to marylands sideline, you see julius toss his man up field and read the play. They landed right at my feet deep into the sideline... and when i say this dude got up, and kept getting up, literally stands at 7ft in pads... i looked up at him and said "good hit 49!" Julius doesn’t get the full respect as an all time defender in the nfl as fast as names mentioned. And he would avg a double double in the NBA if he chose to go there, love Julius peppers
To not have Greg Olson on that mountain is nasty work. To be fair, I think they were just naming names in quick succession. I’m certain they’d mention Greg if given time, without going non script. Pepp once got called for a foul playing for UNC BBall after he rebounded the ball. A guy extended both arms out from a distance, grabbed the ball & Pepp casually yanks it away. But the guy did like he was water skiing & didn't let go of the rope. Left his feet and went launching out of bounds into the crowd. Pepp never moved. Never touched him. Just a tug & guy stunt manned into a crowd & ref blew a whistle thinking he THREW HIM!!!
I remember when pep was in a college party we walked by him
He said to my homeboy big brain I nearly died
For Cam to say all that about Peppers as big as Cam is, is crazy 🤯
My favorite defensive player ever along with Ed Reed
He's a big dude... he sat by me picking up food at a sushi bar in Coconut Grove. A real cool dude.
Nahhh saw Pep twice…once at Eastland Mall and the other time at his camp. Julius Peppers looks like two giant refrigerators stacked on top of one another. He’s massive as hell.
Julius doesn’t get the full respect as an all time defender in the nfl as fast as names mentioned. And he would avg a double double in the NBA if he chose to go there, love Julius peppers
Nah he didn’t even average a double double at nc
Wesley Walls!
To not have Greg Olson on that mountain is nasty work. To be fair, I think they were just naming names in quick succession. I’m certain they’d mention Greg if given time, without going non script.
Prime Julius was a monster. Crazy that most fans when you hear them talk about seeing Cam they talk about his massive he is. For him to say that about Peppers, you know he was built different.
Both all time great Panther legends. They made the Panthers fun to watch. Cam should definitely be and will be in the hall of fame one day.
A bunch of oooohweee!!! Not a realer phrase has been spoken 😂
I still wish CAM was l playing, I adore him so much...
I never knew that Cam is so interesting, and outspoken, until after he retired.
My man made that guy name a list of Panthers legends he never won a Super Bowl with and acted like he was special for it, classic
Julius peppers is why I got into football.
Dude played tackle and end for Carolina and was instantly made an linebacker at Green Bay.
If Cam Newton says your Big. YOUR BIG!!!
And you a Panthers legend too !! That's hard 🔥
One of my favorite hypothetical debates is to pick the 1 NFL player who, if you could clone them 21 times, would make the best team. Peppers is one of my top picks.
I ran into the mountain from game of thrones in a narrow bathroom. 6'9 420lbs at the time I think. He was so big that I had to cram between the urinals to let him through.
I'm not a small dude. But I have never felt so small in my life.
Can't imagine Cam Newton feeling small.
6:30 Peggy got Big business going on 😂😂😂 - Cam don’t slick Hate
