      Great to hear! It is probably the most popular shimano reel right now.

    I'm thinking of buying the Stradic 1000 or C2000HG. Both have the same body but C2000HG has bigger spool and takes 1/3 more line, not sure if it's overkill...
    I have thought about Daiwa's MQ reels, but I think it's a hassle to service these with a special tool and mess with the magseal oil. Also they'll start rattling after a couple of years so I'd prefer the Stradic's solid structure and serviceability.

      Stradic is one durable beast. Can never go wrong. The Tatula MQ is gonna be better for finesse fishing because of the lighter rotar.

    I'm just wondering what is the difference between 1000HG and JDM C2000SHG (compact 1000 body with shallow spool). Same?

    • @TTangOutdoors
      @TTangOutdoors  5 днів тому

      The C2000 has a compact 1000 size body, so the bodies are exactly the same. The spool on the C2000 is a larger diameter spool hence the little bit more line retrieval (specs on Shimano website). But the C2000S is a shallow spool.

    I’m confused. We have the same one but my box says 6:1:1 yours is 6:0:1.. and mine is x protect and micro module while yours has Infinity drive etc.

    Mine out of the box have some noise on body when spin with more speed retrive its more noise no line tension..do u have same little noise?

    • @TTangOutdoors
      @TTangOutdoors  2 місяці тому +1

      Some of mine do a little noisy on the retrieve some absolutely quiet. I think there's some QA issue on the FM. But even with a little noise you would feel or hear it on the water fishing. There's the normal noise that the rotar naturally make when spinning very fast, that applies to all spinning reels it's a pleasure sound. But I think you're talking about the unpleasant noise like "za za za" or discrete da da da noise? Some of my FM has that...

      It could be uneven grease applied on the main gear or pinion. I've spun 5 FM 2 of them have a little noise the other 3 are perfectly silent.

    3:30 first things first.. about the "play" in the knob, im with you, with daiwa is hot or miss, but.. cause there is a BIG but.. you are comparing a japanese made, $200 dollar reel to a maaaybe $100 dollar, chinese made, for the chinese market ( thats why it says "CS") reel.. so.. i dont know if its a fair comparison.

    • @TTangOutdoors
      @TTangOutdoors  3 місяці тому

      Daiwa has this problem for years for made in Vietnam, Thailand and China reels. The made in Japan (not JDM but actually made in Japan) Daiwa are done with precision. And honestly the handle knob play is probably the easiest to get it right. Even my $50 CDM reels have perfectly shimmed handles. So regardless what region of product you're comparing to... there's no excuse. Secondly, there's no made in Japan Shimano Stradic, it's a global model made in Malaysia and the quality control of Shimano even in budget range is good. That Red Fuego CS is also made in Vietnam in the same factory that the black and gold 2017/18 Exceler and Legalis LT were made. And yes my Exceler and Legalis both have handle play issue. CS stands for China Special doesn't mean lower quality but definitely lower than made in Japan. There's Daiwa bait casters for the CS and there's not a single CS reel that's actually made in China... Remember JDM doesn't mean made in Japan. I have the new generation 2023 Daiwa LT, about to make review vids. They are perfectly shimmed and there's so much more improvement. So Daiwa definitely upped their quality control game this time.

      @@TTangOutdoors as i said, with daiwa is a hit or miss, tackle advisors pointed it out a couple of years ago while reviewing the laguna lt, that had no knob play, while his fuego lt had it, still u comparing 2 different tiers of reels or price brackets, if you will.. and one is twice as much expensive or even more. One thing i bet that the fuego has going on for it is the weight and the size of the main gear.. anyway..

    • @gabrielduarte3904

      @@TTangOutdoors it would be more apropriate to compare it with a nasci that is also in the $100 bracket..

    • @TTangOutdoors
      @TTangOutdoors  3 місяці тому

      I mean I could have brought in the Tatula LT in the video if that's more appropriate. About the same price. It's the same handle play that Daiwa LT is known for from that 2017-2019 batch of LT production. Just had a fuego laying on the table handy to explain this common issue in Daiwa reels. Handle play is more of a nuisance than anything. Daiwa reels to me are perfect minus the handle play. It has become one thing I check on every new purchase. Thanks for commenting, appreciate it!

      @@TTangOutdoorsYeah I'm a huge daiwa fan have used a bunch of reels low to high end. Found that the vietnamese and chinese made daiwa's are simply nowhere near the quality of the made in japan Daiwas. I use the Certate and Saltiga series currently. I have had issues with vietnamese daiwas with handle play and noisy bearings. For shimano I currently run the Vanquish and Stradic FM

    I have a 2500SHG 5.8:1, i wish i had gone with the 2500SXG which is 6.2:1 and is lighter by 40grams. Shimano is bulletproof especially the higher end ones.
    there are lighter and smoother reels at this price range but nothing will beat the build quality.

      @TTangOutdoors  3 місяці тому

      Where do you buy the shallow spool models? I assume from Asia? Yeah I agree that the stradic is not aiming for a light weight reel but durability and power! Probably the best selling mid tier spinning reel right now!

    • @TTangOutdoors
      @TTangOutdoors  3 місяці тому +2

      Vanford is super lightweight yes but some people complain about the rigidity of the carbon body. The Stradic is a workhorse reel with solid aluminum body. Caldia MQ and Ballistic MQ are nearly identical reels with different paint job. And both having the zaion v carbon body still pretty strong but the stradic is stronger. The 3 reels are all saltwater rated too. I'm a Daiwa fan and I'd take the new tatula MQ over the ballistic for freshwater fishing.
