Deerfield Trail - Black Hills, South Dakota - An icy hike with kids and dogs!

Deerfield Trail located in the Black Hills of South Dakota is a beautiful trail that starts at Deerfield Lake and goes about 23 miles to meet up with the Centennial Trail near Pactola lake. There are 4 different trailheads along the trail. We started at the Silver City trailhead and headed west for just under a mile and a half before turning around.

This is a great trail, but not for winter or a watery spring. But it is fun to get out in such great temps. Nice lil cave along there as well.
