- Deerfield Trail located in the Black Hills of South Dakota is a beautiful trail that starts at Deerfield Lake and goes about 23 miles to meet up with the Centennial Trail near Pactola lake. There are 4 different trailheads along the trail. We started at the Silver City trailhead and headed west for just under a mile and a half before turning around.

Wow, what a different adventure to have. Thank you for sharing. Looked like. Lot of fun. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
It was a great day!
Absolutely stunning work my friend! These shots are phenomenal!
Thank you!
The kid has some cinematography chops behind the camera. Grizz is getting big!! Thanks for highlighting another trail.
The boys both like to help with filming! Grizz is definitely getting big. I’m so glad I didn’t have to carry him! 😁
_Icy Deerfield magic! This hike shows every step's an adventure, even with frosty paws and tiny boots. Big cheers to family fun! Remember, small steps lead to big summits. Lace up, grab your crew, and explore!_
Yes!!
heard about this beautiful place from a song “the black hills of dakota” by doris day. some day i will visit the black hills.
I may be biased, but it’s an amazing place!
This is a great trail, but not for winter or a watery spring. But it is fun to get out in such great temps. Nice lil cave along there as well.
I’m looking forward to doing a longer stretch this summer for sure!
The perfect time to go hunting and camping is April to September.
Except for the inevitable April blizzard, you’re right!
