I love the way you and the team can take job's like this on most garages would run a mile. I'm 57.years old and worked in a garage over 40 years ago when a mechanic was a time served mechanic not a blue glove technician
Great job guys, the golf looks to be well worth saving. Not always about how much the cars worth, more about how much it’s worth to the person that owns it. I’ve heard of a few stories from the MOT guys saying “it’s not worth the money fixing!” Whilst drawing breath through their teeth. Keep up the great work
That's a nice tidy job There Collin. Another Vw saved from the Scrapyard good on lads artic silver i had one that colour myself if I remember rightly. I have a set eBay prepainted wings on my audi dont seem to be to bad😊.
Amazing job Colin, proper labour of love there, so glad the owner saved his pride and joy, and lucky he had your talented team on hand to sort it 💪👍🇬🇧🛠😊
Good too see you saving old cars and keeping them on the road have you ever welded rear suspension turrets just curious ive a 2004 Subaru Forester xt 2.0 manual turbo and i bought from Cumbria and straight back too Glasgow outskirts 90% of the body is undersealed but rear turrets need a little patch each side put my fingers through it only a little bit but obvs a mot fail come august had a new subframe has a front oil pan / subframe plastic cover guard which helps
Good job! Nice to may have to get some more to help you out! John, havent posted anything at a long time, something special happened, do you know Collin?
Good old 1.9 tdi go forever they do.😅 i migged my old k reg 92 1.7tdi astra back in 2008 took me about 5 weekends at my old neighbours garage the old dude though that he rented it from got peeved at me grinding so just managed to get it welded up for test b4 he pulled the plug oldgit.😅
Great content as always mate dont let the haters get ya down mate there has to be some haters out there no matter how perfect you are mate 😊 duck em you keep doing what you do best 😊
Ive got rot in the front corners of the sill and want to save the car. Its an ALH tdi with 230k miles which is nothing , a lot of upgrades from the pD 150 , larger injectors , vr6 clutch etc. So im going to order the sills and ive seen a lot of guys replacing the whole thing from the seam inside the door all the way to the pinch weld underneath. I noticed you struck a line and are only messing with the bottom half which seems like a lot less work but a weld running the whole line of the sill. I know these repairs dont last forever but how long do you think something like this will hold up ?
Oh my god iv asked about 10 so called welders if they can do this job for me and they all dont want to know. How much will this job set you back i need this exact thing done
What's the point in making a video if you time lapse the whole thing, pointless!!!
Thanks for the support
Only thing pointless is your comment 🤣🤣
Always one
I thought you were welding a Austin maxi with that amount of rot
lol 😂

Amazes me how many of these mk4 golf’s are still about when so many cars of the same era are mostly gone. Always liked the mk4 too
couldn't agree more
VW put some amazing engines in the mk4's . 1.8t , VR6 , and the TDI's can't be beat ...even the 2.0 was bulletproof
Another video. Wow your spoiling us. Keep them coming Colin
