Hello floss, it’s been a number of years since I’ve been watching your video and I wanted to stop by and tell you as somebody who is vision impaired with low vision. I find these videos to be really great. I love the fact that you don’t just review the product, you run through the bullet points on the box, you talk about how the product feels and you even review how the product looks, and where buttons are located et cetera. This is really great for somebody with low vision or also for somebody who is totally blind. It’s amazing how many reviewers just show pictures, put the text up on screen or do a review with lots of music playing in the background. I know that fancy editing does look great, but as far as I’m concerned, this is a channel that I come back to so much to watch when I want to know what a product is like. I have my own UA-cam channel called low vision in a visual world and That shows the everyday life with low vision. It’s just life in my low vision world every day went out and about. Thanks for the work you do and keep it up as it is quite simply superb!
EDIT: it seems this is not a bone conductor... it is open ear. Nice timing Floss! Review on release day... right when I'm in the market for a new open ear.
This is air conduction, not bone. Basically like normal headphones but they sit in front of your ear, not in them. They have extra things added to try to replicate the feeling of bass so the drivers and things are a little different
@Paspa1801 oh fair point. I was wondering why the speaker was sitting in front of the ear canal. I thought that was a very strange design for bone conduction. Thanks!
@@CK-jd7wo-test No worries! Especially since shokz are known for bone conduction, it was an easy mistake to make. Tbh I prefer air conduction as the vibrations from bone conduction can sometimes give me a headache

Just picked these things up and took them for a 21-mile bike ride. They are singing‼️‼️‼️ Took a phone call while riding. I can hear every horn, high hat, road noise and the river running in the background.

I just received my Openfit yesterday and I absolutely love them! They are the solution to a lifelong serious problem that I have. I'm prone to ear infections. It's just been over a month since I got over a really bad one too. When I heard that these don't go onto the ear canal, I just knew I had to try them out. Glad I did! My use case is a little different for these as I also use the Shokz Opentun Pro bone conduction headset for just about everything else. However I can't sleep or just lay down in general with my headset. However I can with the Openfit. So now I can listen to my music anytime, even when I just want to rest.
@aktm1407 surprisingly sound leakage isn't really a problem with these. I listen to them at night all the tine and my wife hasn't complained even once that they were too loud. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, but I don't think they are loud enough outside your ear to be a concern.
I bought the LG Tone's based off Flossy's review. Really appreciate the on-ear shake test and seeing what they look like on-ear because some headphones/earbuds just don't look good when wearing them
Great review as always. The head shake was great to see. 😂. Shokz joining the party after the Oladance Wearable Stereo and the Oneodio Openrock Pro. The Oladance case doe not have a battery in the case, but have the option of buying the charge case. These earphones are doing what bone conducting not doing as too well, sound quality especially the bass. Video is the first I am aware of these new Shokz.
They now have these at Best Buy for customers to demo. First of all, I have small ears and even though these are super lightweight, they still dug into my cartilage and caused irritation. Secondly, there appears to be very little bass on these things. The mids and highs seemed tinny. I was pretty shockt by Shokz underperformance given all the hype around them.
I agree, I was motivated by the fact that Flossy said that there was lots a bass in these but the fact is that there isn't. I don't have small ears but the way the sit on my ears doesn't provide any significant amount of bass. I'm able to fiddle with them and reposition them to get more but they don't stay there because of the way the are made. It is very sad because as Flossy said, the fit id super confortable for me as if I'm wearing nothing only problem is that 'nothing' extend to the bass too. They will be going back unfortunately, I remain un-shockzed.
These are literally the best sound of any earbud headphones in HISTORY. The heavy BASS, super LOUD and CLEAR sound is unrivaled. My ears are in disbelief with how good these are.

I have been wanting for something like this for a long time. Something better fitting than regular ear buds while not ramming my ear canals causing them to get all hot and sweaty 🥵 😏. The fact that these hit all the Flossy Features and are the same price as the competition while being a Major-Major-Major GO is a 💯 buy for me. Thanks for doing what you do Floss I think I may have just found my forever buds. On the flip side that packaging and presentation was ridiculous Shokz needs to CALM DOWN 🤚 😂

I’d love to see these compared to the Oladance Wearable Stereo 2. They appear similar but Oladance claims 19 hours per charge but their case isn’t rechargeable unless you purchase the one they sell separately + allow multipoint connection.

i think these are some of the best open earbuds u can buy, especially since there is no sound leakage like some other open buds (tozo openbuds, JBL soundgear). FR graphs also show these have some of the deepest bass in the open buds market.
Best I seen today! I been using my Aeropex (back when the company was named Aftershokz) for over 2 years and love them. Thought of finally upgrading them and saw that these just dropped today so I had to check the reviews! Good content and real-life reviews of consumer products bruh!
Don’t know who needs to see this, but I’ve found that if you have oily skin you will likely need to clean the charging contacts on these regularly to make sure they actually switch off when they go back in the case. Otherwise I can’t recommend these highly enough! I’ve had them since the start of 2024 and they have not let me down!

I was going to buy the Bose ultra open buds but chose these instead. Literally just bought them on amazon. I work in a noisy environment and since you said these are louder. It was an easier choice. I just can't stand in ear earbuds. If the price on the bose ones come down or if they fix the issues that some people say they have if they make a gen 2. I might try them. Thanks for your reviews.
I am interested in these earbuds but I think I'll wait perhaps for the second generation to come out with 9 to 10 hours of battery life instead of 7. I currently have a 180 pair of aftershocks headphones that last 10 hours, but these earbuds will be nice in the future.
I love my openmove. Just keep in mind they will never sound as good as ones that go in or over your ear and sound leak will be massive, but they are comfortable and do the job.
Facts; not the loudest/best sounding at all but that ain’t a bad thing. I work in a hospital and I prefer using the open run pros over my AirPods Pros because they aren’t as easy to lose and they keep me aware while at work…plus people think I have hearing aids in so I can get away with ignoring mfs sometimes 😭😂
Can't see how you can be as aware of your surroundings as the Openruns for example. Not with sound pointing straight in your ear. I love to run in the Openruns and hear everything in the background.
I have been looking at all the reviews to make a sound decision these are like my 5th and I don’t penny pinch. But these ear buds are official. Thank you for helping my decision. All my friends say they hear me clear I love that about these earbuds.
I just replaced my previous ones with some new Shokz OpenRun Mini a few weeks ago!😅 I like the band that goes around your head on mine cause it's easy just to leave them dangling around your neck when you're not using them, but it's annoying when you're in bed or trying to put them on under a helmet. These look awesome, great review as always!!
I give it major major go It's great to wear at work. I can hear everything around like nothing worn when I don't play anything Sound is surprising good and rich The only thing I may not like is long time wearing (4+ hours continuously)
I have multiple pairs of earbuds. Big name ones are beats fit pro and sony wf-1000xm4. Have a couple of lower tier brands too (soundpeats, p3, zxt). I got the shokz open run pro last year out of spite because of new, dumb rules, at my job but headphones and earbuds at work. I thought I would only use them at work and I can say I honestly use them over any of my buds and even my sony over the ear wh1000xm4. Like floss said, when you turn them all the way up you can't here anything. And even people next to you can't hear. Call quality on mine are the best of any device I own. I'm using them now to watch this video. Only bad thing about mine and the previous models are the non adjustable head band in the back so if tiu get these that goes away. But get a pair of shokz. You'll be surprised how dope they are.
Floss thank you for doing the review on the Shokz open fit ear buds I bought me a pair and there everything on what you said and white shoes calm down.
These would be great for cycling, I just wish the logo was a little more discreet. Not a deal breaker though becuase I'm leaning toward getting them for my daily rides. Nice review Floss, always wanted to know what you looked like. Where's Shoes?

I believe the Flossy Major Go ratings system should be the industry standard. I've bought a couple of things based on it, and, it's proved spot on.

Agreed, bone conduction can get annoying at times, (except for bass lovers ) but I’d prefer air conduction for long listening sessions.

From what I seen on their website, these aren’t bone conduction earbuds. They’re saying this is a different technology they’ve implemented

These are GREAT! They last a long time! I was using them for work yesterday and I had them on for over six hours and they were still at 30%

I just got these and at first was wondering why the volume on my phone all the way up and wasn’t extremely loud, but then you made me realize they are meant to hear the outside world. Duh. They auto connect to my peloton and phone without having to click on the Bluetooth at all its always connects instantly ❤

I was going to buy the Bose ultra open buds but chose these instead. Literally just bought them on amazon. I work in a noisy environment and since you said these are louder. It was an easier choice. I just can't stand in ear earbuds. If the price on the bose ones come down or if they fix the issues that some people say they have if they make a gen 2. I might try them. Thanks for your reviews.

I am interested in these earbuds but I think I'll wait perhaps for the second generation to come out with 9 to 10 hours of battery life instead of 7. I currently have a 180 pair of aftershocks headphones that last 10 hours, but these earbuds will be nice in the future.
I love my openmove. Just keep in mind they will never sound as good as ones that go in or over your ear and sound leak will be massive, but they are comfortable and do the job.
These are actually the loudest ones I've used yet!
Facts; not the loudest/best sounding at all but that ain’t a bad thing. I work in a hospital and I prefer using the open run pros over my AirPods Pros because they aren’t as easy to lose and they keep me aware while at work…plus people think I have hearing aids in so I can get away with ignoring mfs sometimes 😭😂

Can't see how you can be as aware of your surroundings as the Openruns for example. Not with sound pointing straight in your ear. I love to run in the Openruns and hear everything in the background.

I like the band that goes around your head on mine cause it's easy just to leave them dangling around your neck when you're not using them, but it's annoying when you're in bed or trying to put them on under a helmet.

Sound is surprising good and rich
The only thing I may not like is long time wearing (4+ hours continuously)
I have multiple pairs of earbuds. Big name ones are beats fit pro and sony wf-1000xm4. Have a couple of lower tier brands too (soundpeats, p3, zxt). I got the shokz open run pro last year out of spite because of new, dumb rules, at my job but headphones and earbuds at work. I thought I would only use them at work and I can say I honestly use them over any of my buds and even my sony over the ear wh1000xm4. Like floss said, when you turn them all the way up you can't here anything. And even people next to you can't hear. Call quality on mine are the best of any device I own. I'm using them now to watch this video. Only bad thing about mine and the previous models are the non adjustable head band in the back so if tiu get these that goes away. But get a pair of shokz. You'll be surprised how dope they are.

I was hoping they were bone conduction… I use them at work. Gotta be able to have ear plugs… Love my open runs.
These would be great for cycling, I just wish the logo was a little more discreet. Not a deal breaker though becuase I'm leaning toward getting them for my daily rides. Nice review Floss, always wanted to know what you looked like. Where's Shoes?
