Because if everyone is cheating its mostly fair, the only real things that hold you back are:
-Cheat used (Matters way more in CS2 than CSGO)
-Config (Bad settings = missing or not 1 hit kill)
-Positioning and movement and map knowledge (Skill)
You should try it at least once with friends in 1v1 or 2v2 before you write it off (public lobbies are mostly toxic and boring tbf)
