    I am extremely sorry for talking very fast in this video, really I am 😞 It's a old video and did many mistakes and now a days I don't talk that fast (I can't say I am doing really great but I am trying my best). Plus, I have also edited the video and added the Subtitles in many different languages. All you need to do is, just click on Setting icon (Engine symbol) and select your preferred language. Everything would get converted into your own preferred language. Thank you for your understanding I wish, there were a way to edit old videos 😞

      Actually new to Channel and English is not my first language. So, I talked much faster than I usually do thinking people would be bored if I talk in normal speed. In fact, some of my friends said the same. So, definitely I am going to improve it.

      @GardeningUpbeat  4 роки тому +2

      @Miria Amron, You can definitely leave the bulbs in the same pot for next season. Plz keep in a shady area and protect it from rainfall. If you water once in 30-45 days, it would be more than enough. We just need to maintain a very low moisture (but not wet) in the container till next year. Next year, when you see they are sprouting, you can start watering in regular interval. Thank you for watching the video, have a great time :-)

      @GardeningUpbeat  5 років тому

      @kathod bhoir, thank you for your question. Freesia blooms in Winter - Early spring season and so I don't recommend you to grow at this time. Instead, you can grow many other lilies that bloom well in Summer season. For example -
      1. Tuberose (blooms in Summer and nice fragrant plant)
      2. Rain Lily (Zephyranthes)
      3. Footbal Lily (Scadoxus multiflorus)
      4. Tiger Lily
      5. Spider Lily
      6. Gladiolus (Blooms in Summer and Winter)
      7. Asiatic Lily or Lilium (Blooms in Summer and Winter)
      I already have a video about Asiatic Lily or Lilium and others on the way. If you want, you can watch it.
      If you have any questions, please let me know and I would get back asap! Have a great time :-)

    Thank you for the advices but please I have a question when is the right time to plant freesia? And what to do after blooming should I keep them underground?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  4 роки тому +1

      @cristina volter, I am really very sorry for the late reply. I was really busy at growing lots of plants and so was away for few days. In India, the best time to grow Freesia is Oct-Nov (when the nighttime temp is around 15-20°C) and they are not going to do well if temperature goes above 30°C+.
      I planted my Freesia bulbs today (I know I am late already) and hope I would be able to get the blooms before temperature goes up. After blooming, you can keep them underground if you don't want to use the same space. But if you are a container gardener like me and want to utilize the space & container, then you can dig them up and store for the next season. This is the same thing I did for my Freesias. Plz let me know if you have any question and I would get back to you ASAP. Wishing you and your family a very very happy new year :-)

      @Sylvia Manning, I am extremely sorry for the late reply...normally, I try my best to reply every queries within 24 hours or at least 48 hours. Somehow, I missed your question and so sorry about that.
      If you can provide them 4-5 hours of direct sunlight, it would be more than enough and I found, whole day of sun is not good anyway. For watering, please let the top soil dry out before watering and then water. Not just Freesia, for all bulbs, it's a good idea to let the top soil dry out before watering. Thank you for watching the video and please let me know if you have any questions and I would get back ASAP :-)

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  4 роки тому +1

      @The Grinch, I did that at the end of September and Sept and Oct is the best time to plant them (in India). If you plant them now, you might not get the desired result and they might take time to grow. Plus, monsoon can destroy them as well like you said. Instead, you can save them for next season and grow some other bulbs - 1. Amarlily 2. Gloxinia 3. Football Lily 4. Rajnigandha 5. Spider Lily 6. Nerine 7. Canna Other than 1 & 2, others are bit early to grow as it's still Feb but can be grown. Thank you :-)

    Hi I have a question
    I've planted freesia bulbs in December and only last week it started to grow a little leafs
    When is the good time to plant them for next year and should I keep them in worm or cold place?
    And thank you

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  4 роки тому +1

      @cristina volter, Freesias take lots of time to grow as you can see in my video, I got the result after 129 days. If you have planted your bulbs at the Mid-End of Dec, they are most likely to bloom in March - April (but it would highly depend on the temperature). They need minimum 90-100 days to bloom and so the best time to grow them is Sept End - Oct. Once they bloomed, if you like you can keep the bulbs in the same pot (but need to maintain the moisture) or you can store them for the next season (You would need to keep them in cold place, not worm). I already recorded everything and soon I would upload it.
      By the way, Plz note that I am from India and in winter season, the temperature in my place doesn't come below 50°F (10°C) at night (mostly). So, if you are from much cooler place, then the things are going to be be bit different. Anyway, plz let me know and I would try my best to provide you the best solutions. Thank you :-)

    Is bulb grow in rainy season please tell me

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  5 років тому

      @kathod bhoir, thank you for your question. Honestly saying, I haven't tried growing them in Rainy/Summer season as they bloom in Winter - Early Spring. So, I don't think they would be able to survive the rainy season. I have some other alternatives for you for the rainy season -
      1. Asiatic Lily (they are known to bloom in Winter season but they would bloom in Summer if you keep taking care)
      2. Gladiolous (same as Asiatic Lily)
      3. Tuberose (blooms in Summer and nice fragrant plant)
      4. Rain Lily (Zephyranthes) - the name tales it all and perfect for rainy season. Blooms in Summer.
      5. Footbal Lily (Scadoxus multiflorus) - Blooms in Summer
      Please also note that, I am from India and I am suggesting the above plant names referring to the Indian climate.
      If you have any questions, please let me know and I would be glad to help you. Thank you :-)

    I like that you posted the length of days, the adding Bonemeal, I wish you would of included everything else in writing. Because I couldn't understand, though your video was also very good. You do speak very loud, I lowered the volume but it's too difficult to understand, and when I higher the volume your voice bothers my ears. Just use your normal tone.

      @Vilma T. Gonzalez, Please accept my apologies...It was the 17th video in my Channel out of 250+ videos and initially, I did many mistakes :-( Funny thing is, my wife always said me that I talk very slow and quietly. So, I thought that I need to talk bit differently whenever I am doing a Channel and so this happened. Anyway, I came to know about my mistakes and I have tried my best to fix the issue in all of my new videos. I am sure that if you check one of my recent videos, you would clearly see the difference. But, I also know that I need to improve many things and I am trying my best to do that. Problem is, English is not my first language but this shouldn't be an excuse, I know!
      Finally, thank you for being so nice and for an amazing feedback! It's hard to get such feedback online, truly appreciate it!
