I am glad that you find it relaxing mate 👍🏻 but I never really worry about getting back on time, if it is meant to be it will be, if not then o won’t make it back in time, that’s life 🤷🏻♂️
He definitely DIDN’T make it back within the hour on this one, possibly 90mins alone from Heathrow to Holborn in the afternoon..lol

I drove a cab for 35 years -I gave up after covid and now earn £14 an hour sat on a reception desk -People don’t realize the overheads cab drivers have-I now get paid holidays,sick pay and don’t have to deal occasional awkward passengers .
Jane the overheads are ridiculous, don’t blame you, you need to do what makes you happy, personally I cannot work in an office anymore, it drives me mad being stuck in the same place all the time, but good for you getting out of the trade 👍🏻
It's a no brainer Jane if you want to have a life and work 35 to 40 hours a week. I did the same.
Many years ago when I drove cabs in the provinces one of my first Airport jobs was to T3(if memory serves)and looking for a place to be able to pick up my customer I inadvertently joined a black cab rank!!!How embarrassing!Luckily it was moving,and having apologised to the cabbies in front and behind me I just carried on through.Never did that again believe me😅😅

Can you get a fare from Heathrow to Gatwick? How much would that be fare wise?
Yes you can, I think the price is approx £150

Black cab,Uber its all finished no cash jobs no distance jobs minimum wage after all the hours excruciating expenses.
The first expenses are excruciating but then so is the cost of living! Uber drivers should not be accepting cash jobs as there is no cash on the app.
This job is what you make of it, you either enjoy it or hate it, I still enjoy driving a Taxi
I noticed you are driving an older cab, are you planning on buying or renting the new shape cab?
Yeah, you won't get rich on £18/hour, just hope for some good days to balance out the crappy days.
I definitely won’t get rich on £18 per hour David, but it is what it is, you have good days and bad days, you have to take the rough with the smooth. But I can confirm you will never get rich driving a Taxi
