@@LCLockout I just had a lockout with one today. It picked open fast! However, get a few lockouts where the key turns and the inside handle won’t release. Easy to “pop” the cylinder or drill open.
This video ... Literally! Saved me at work today! Thank you so much! I work at a hardware store and being the only one on duty having any rekey experience... I've never encountered this type of for knob. You rock! You got me through it!
I wish they still made push and turn knob locks but nobody makes them anymore, what a shame, too bad that they don't make them anymore and many of them are going away🙁
Great video! Thanks for sharing :) I remember years ago when folks would sell and use the Weiser shim as a shortcut so we don't need to take the whole knob off the door haha
Can you help me key a Weiser deadbolt lock? I just purchased a home built in the late 50’s and there is (2) of these locks on two different hall closet doors. They are unlocked with no known keys. Thank you!
Hello. I have a batch of what appear to be Weiser/Kwikset locks that are using a WR key blank and look almost exactly like these except for a few things. With these, instead of pulling on that shaft, you have to push. It pushes in instead of pulling out. Also, there is a small pin that pops out right next to the keyhole on the core. I am unable to get the cylinder out of these to rekey them. Any ideas?
Just cause you can rekey something that old with plastic parts doesn’t mean you should. Replace the poor thing and old yell’r it straight to the trash can
You saved me too Mr.Locksmith. I haven’t ran into these in a good while in my area, had a 11 lock rekey today all Weiser knobs and dbl deadbolts.

Hi, watched the video of the Old Old Old Weiser re-key. I am looking for a log like that to scavenge parts off of. Any way of contacting you? Thanks

Good luck with that clip holding in the plug!😅
Those clips are used in lots of machinery and electronic equipment. They work well. You just need the proper snap ring pliers to remove it.
@alan4sure Im very familiar with them. Just not a fan of them.
@@mattnapiersoundguy I like'em until it flies off the tool tips and hides somewhere.😄
Let me know mr. locksmith if your hiring
Hmmm. Never saw one in east.
Was very popular in Western Canada and the West Coast

Most Weiser and Kwikset Locks should be replaced :-)
