    I'm currently using this product for hyperpigmentation. My dermatologist recommended it. It's true that it's pricey, but it seems that a little goes a long way. I've only been using it two weeks and I really like it so far. My dermatologist said to give it a full 30 days before really forming an opinion. I have high hopes, as it already seems to be working and I really trust my dermatologist and she highly, highly recommended this product.

    Dr. Ania Marie, you look even more gorgeous today! Absolutely stunning! Thanks for reviewing this serum. Very impressive data on efficacy! I actually bought it a few months ago but haven't used it yet. I use vitamin c in the morning and tret at night. I'm also on my last 2 weeks of the Cyspera cycle before switching to twice a week. Do I use this serum after toning, after other serums, where does it go? Do I use it morning and night or once a day? Thanks so much for all your wonderful content! ❤😘

      Alastin recommends applying it first, if pigment is your primary issue. If not, you can apply it after your other serums. I apply it first, or if I'm using epicutis, I apply epicutis first and this second. Am and pm

    The issue I run into with Alastin is that all their treatment serums have niacinamide which I am sensitive to. So if I were to layer their serums together my skin would be completely damaged!

      Not all of them have niacinamide, plus you should try first. I doubt you would get sensitive to Alastin, very safe products even for the most reactive skin.

      @Е. C. the retinol, restorative skin complex and the new pigment serum all do have niacinamide. The retinol and the restorative complex together was too much for me.

    Thank you, as always clear and concise explanation. Could you please answer the following questions:
    How does this product works with regular routine of nightly Retanol and daily Vitamin C? Does the product ever on sale? Why the results only show diminished effect but not complete elimination of hyperpigmentation? Is their a product that will deliver 99% complete elimination of hyperpigmentation (freckles)? How does this treatment comparers to IPL in effectiveness? Thank you looking forward to hearing from you.

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  Рік тому +1

      You are correct, this product alone will not completely remove hyperpigmentation. But if used with other products like retinoids, antioxidants and sunscreen, the results will be better. And if that is combined with laser procedures, the results will be even better. There is no one miracle product for pigmentation, especially melasma.
      If you were to just get an IPL treatment or just use this, I would say this will give you better results, only because you are comparing a single treatment with a twice daily, 365 days/year treatment. The long term consistent one will always be better. What you do at home is 80% of the result, what you get done in the office is 20% of the result.
      I have never seen Alastin go on sale. They do have occasional gift with purchase.

    I just bought and started my first bottle a little over a month ago. I have a lot of sun damage from my twenties. My facialist recommended it after my last facial. We will be doing some lazor t/x along with this cream. So far I do really enjoy using it. I only use it at night and I apply it 3 hours before my tretinoin. I think the price is good due to being able to cut out the Sophora type brands that add up to cost much more than this bottle. If the science is there and it works I'm all for spending the money for results. I'm 39 and trying to undo damage that took 15 years to build. Thank you for the review and sharing the science behind this product!!!

      This is a difficult question because...
      Skinbetter tested again hydroquinone also but in vitro (Petri dish lab) so it's a hard comparison. I truly think this is a situation where A-luminate will work better for some, (no alpha arbutin in this) and Even Tone may work better for others. So it's a matter of finding the right match. If I was going to try just one, I'd start with A-Luminate because of the research and results.
