I think she was attempting to summon Xiang Yu or Langling as a Rider, since they are both renowned generals and Riders are commonly generals or commanders of armies. Lanling even has his horse when summoned as a Saber and his personal skills and powers as a servant show how much he is geared toward leading others, which honestly kind of doesn’t fit with his Saber class.
@@thomaslin1189 You see, I was laughing even harder while raising bond XP for her and Wu Zetian that I got a couple days later and I'm amazed at how much more XP is required for Yu.
Ritsuka must Respect Akuta Hinako because she is the Senior even she already become Servant under Ritsuka, Ritsuka was Really happy to have Senior who always guide him.
I love how one of their My Room dialogues is basically Yu reminding them that, although yes they now share a Master-Servant relationship, she's still the senpai when it comes to being a member of Chaldea. I like to imagine Ritsuka just replies to that with a beaming smile.
Love it as always but just one inaccuracy: Yu didn't die. She can't really die ever. She just lost her physical form and is doomed to wander as a angry spirit. However, she can still ascend to the Throne (and leave it) as she please because... reasons.
True. She was about to become a wandering Vengeful Spirit, until Qin Shi Huang talked her out of it and proposed to her a much better deal. _(not gonna lie, if she had turned into a Vengeful Spirit and we were forced to exorcize her, I'd be mega heartbroken. thanks, moth emperor!)_
great summary. one thing to note is that the Prince of Lanling, Consort Yu's servant, asked her to devour him so she could live and defeat her enemies. due to the brief summary, it seemed to imply "Akuta" did something evil and selfish out of nowhere
Yu Mei-ren may be older then mankind but Washu (in her goddess/true form) and her sisters Tsunami and Tokimi are older than all of existence in Tenchi Muyo.
Great video and I'm glad to see you amended calling Xiang Yu a normal human in the comment section, but there is one more... misnomer I found in this video. When gravely wounded, while Yu did consume Lan Ling, the way you worded made it seem like she solely made the decision herself when he suggested it first and encouraged her to do it himself. It's only a minor thing, but I find the perspective changes the context of the scene, since Yu was very hesitant to do so, given her friendship with him. Still, great video, I'm happy with my double summon of Yu when I pulled for her, and now she can sit in Chaldea reading with Scheherazade.
Lanling's dialogue also implies another thing. Rather then consuming him specifically, his wording seems to imply that Yu doesn't like resorting to consuming a human's blood at all. It's like she has this innate ability in her, but she doesn't appreciate it and would rather avoid it since she doesn't need it. I assume from this that the times in her past where she _did_ consume human blood, it was done as a last resort, like to survive the Church's top Executors or something along those lines. I liked the video, but the way he worded things made it seem like Yu was naturally preying upon humans, when dialoge and profile hint towards that not being the case at all. Very misleading, honestly. :\ Btw, Yu doesn't actually have a habit of reading, she was just using that as a facade to keep people away. So I don't imagine she's actually very literate and possibly wouldn't really hold much interest in it. Not to mention, Sheherazade would probably have a heart attack just from the sheer terror of being close to a vampire. XD
But if we summon them both, we can rectify that problem. ;) I have already summoned Senpai, now all I need is to either get spooked by her husband in some Banner or wait two years to use that Free SSR Ticket to get him. Either way, the couple is getting reunited! ^_^

The character designers just upped their game after the game began to take itself seriously. That said we still have weird designs like their design for our upcoming Greek goddess of justice and purity (Astraea).
@@lenleon3699 Who did they hire to design her art pics? Similar to Parvati, Astraea doesn't really look like the Luvia we are used to, even though she's officially inhabiting her body.

Ritsuka is so amazing to be able to bond with so many characters who hate humanity like Yu Mei-ren. Servants we are waiting on: Guinevere as Ruler Aoife as Rider Kriemhild as Avenger If they didn't have to worry about copyright, it would be so cool if we had Servants from other franchises. Like Mami Tomoe as Archer or Gunner and Touma Kamijou as Avenger or Saver (he'd be Avenger because of that time he was the enemy of the entire world).

Eh Dai you didn't tell me you went back to doing Tsukihime content really fills me with nostalgia on the subje- oh she's a Fate character that makes her both of them Arcued and Yu of course
Just curious, where did they call her Miaoyi? Her name is always typed as 虞美人 which is the characters for Yu Meiren, meaning Yu the beauty (at least when I checked her card and the lostbelt 3 dialogue in the japanese version).
@@RainofLilac Two guesses that it was just some fan doing a rough translation and everyone taking it as holy scripture. Like the deal with Muramasa and even the constant mistake even the official translation team did of calling the lens that observes Chaldeas “Shiva”.
@@lenleon3699 Oh okay, that’s explains a lot. I mean Yu Miaoyi is one of the names associated with her but it isn’t confirmed by any records or texts. Dunno the JP line but the two last bond lines in NA are literally Yu realizing a Master with so many different servants would not hold biases against non-humans. While I don't have any strong feelings for the character, I have to say this was another great lore video. Personal stance is she can hate humanity if she wants and I'll just leave her be. Win/win. Quite the story though for her character within the Fate universe.
Have you seen her interlude? Although it’s played for comedy, I can’t fault her for her anger at all. My idea would be to let her go at her own pace, refusing to push her past her comfort zone unless necessary. I also understand that it’s possible she might NEVER forgive us, and I would just have to live with that. I fear not even working for the rest of my life, or offering my life as recompense would be sufficient. More than anything, I despise myself for hurting so many people.
Ahhh now we get the best crypter our very own senpai Yu Mei Ren! Personally LB3 is my favorite because of Yu Mei Ren's struggles and plights. I hope one day i can summon her, it's been 8 months since she dropped and I still haven't seen her appear for me : /
Do a Fate Lore video on Caligula. I’m trying if he’s Caesar Caligula or Julias Caligula. I do know that Caligula is known to have been a terrible ruler, having humiliated and killed innocent until he was assassinated. After his assassination, his uncle took the throne and peace was restored.
I wish type moon would make admiral Yi Shun Shin a servant. He would be an interesting counterbalance to Sengoku Jidai servants and especially Oda Nobunaga. It would be like an elephant and a whale facing eachothers. Oda Nobunaga, the powerhouse in land. Yi Shun Shin, the master of the sea. Unbeatable on their own terrains but unable to challenge each others.
@Ho Lee Shi true, but I can also see Yi taking a battle against Oda. Toyotomi was Oda's general so Toyotomi learned warfare from Oda. It's true that Oda Nobunaga was dead before Japanese-Korea war, but she was the architecture to Oda forces millitary might. Yi would feel grudge towards Oda, because of she builted so strong army. Without Oda Nobunaga there would not have been Toyotomi Hideyoshi and maybe no Japanese-Korea war.

I really enjoyed lb 3 a ton more than lb 2. Honako was a great enemy and loved how the emperor Didn't just believe thier side and the whole stalemate. But yeah yu and xuangyu was a sweet relationship to see. Character wise mordred was just boring while Jing ke and nezha could have done more but they were Enjoyable In the story. In my ratings, I loved LB2 but also found LB3 more engaging. I agree, Qin Shi Huang's fluctuating opinions and management of both Chaldea and Yu were a very fun dynamic! Yu-senpai and Xiang Yu deserve all the best in their lives! I will welcome both with open arms in my Chaldea! (well technically I already did senpai, now I just need to summon her husband) ^_^ Well, I feel Mordred was just fine. She was sorta limited, but I thought she just acter how her character would act. Spartacus is the one who surprised me, I was actually astonished by his mentality and philosophies as he was talking. (to the point I would scream "HOW CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND HIM?!" whenever any of the cast would claim they did not understand what exactly he was saying) A great fellah! It was worth leveling him up just for this Lostbelt! Jing Ke is actually a character I really liked here. Her wholes story with Qin Shi Huang, her interactions with the villagers and teaching that boy about poems, her overall arc... @@ONEPUNCHHH Welp, she was a Consort during her married life with Xiang Yu. Guess she stuck to the style of clothing used for consorts in that time period. _(makes sense, that was the period she was the happiest in her life)_
Got Yu 3 times before I finally got Qin. Previous to LB3 I had only ever save my F2P SQ for the meta servants so that I would be able to best experience the main stories as they get released without excessive suffering during tough battles, so I had never exactly formed much of a singular "waifu". But after LB3, it's pretty clear who is the best girl here, even if her actual gameplay skill set is complete garbage and massively underpowered.
When hearing her being a True Ancestor, you'd kinda expect her to be kinda OP only to see her NP cleanses Buffs First before hitting the enemies. WTF DW
someone pointed out "It's as if she purposely sabotages the core of her entire game plan, her NP, because she holds a grudge over what happened in the Chinese Lostbelt". on the bright side, Yu is a Servant that becomes "better over time"; in part due to her wonderful buff (in 2 years time for NA), and in part because Nightingale Santa (welfare next year) is an absolutely amazing support for Yu
First off, she's not a True Ancestor. Da Vinci simply mistook her for one since she shares so many similarities, but she's actually a different kind of Elemental. Secondly, her "Noble Phantasm" is pretty in-tune with her very nature and normally, she would abuse her natural ability to use backup power from the World in order to spam that attack, similar to her first boss fight. But since she's now fighting as a Servant alongside us, I assume that ability of her has been pretty limited. (though I'll agree the buff on her 2nd Skill should've been made accessible _WAY EARLIER_ then it actually did) Thirdly, True Ancestors are powerful, but not by THAT MUCH of a margin as most people think. I'd imagine they would usually have a similar output to Yu-senpai, though they'd gradually diminish that in order to contain their innate bloodlust. This misconception is probably caused because of Arcueid, who is said to actually rival or outright destroy Servants/Heroic Spirits. The thing is, Arcueid is the STRONGEST of all the True Ancestors She was created to be the perfect vessel for Crimson Moon's ressurection and she very much fits the role perfectly. _(or did, until Roa screwed things up)_ People gotta remember that not all True Ancestors shared her level of power. Heck, I don't think ANY of them did. It's why those who weren't killed by Arcueid going berserk were eventually hunted down and killed *by Dead Apostle Ancestors,* the supposedly "inferior" vampire servants created to serve the True Ancestors. _(and who ironically ended up becoming more powerful and dangerous then their masters)_
*Huh.* You know, you made me think. Despite being a Knight of the Round Table, I'm pretty sure Bedivere would actually get along somewhat well with Yu-senpai. Her being a "monster" might innitially cause some friction, but nothing both can't get over in time. I mean, Tristran and Gawain eventually got over the fact Meltlilith and Passionlip were Alter Egos! And those two are very stubborn hard heads! So I don't see reason for good boi Bedivere to not quickly befriend Yu-senpai, or at least reach an amicable enough relationship. (SHE can be hella stubborn too) XD
I have 2 questions: 1. What exactly is Yu? I tried to look into it but calling her 10 different things from "elemental" to "true ancestor", with weird definitions for each, kinda made things a bit complicated. 2. If she gets summoned by chaldea(sadly didn't get her), what happens with her intel on the crypters? Chaldea could've asked her all of the questions they wanted to ask Kadoc at the end of lb1
I think the implication is that Yu doesn’t actually know anything important. In fact, she did not even seem to have a Sirius Light which is very odd. As for Yu’s true origins, she doesn’t seem to be a descendant of Crimson Moon so it may just be that she’s an elemental of a similar nature created by the world as a response to humanity’s growing population. Her weaker strenght is just a result of vampires overall being weaker in the Fate parallel worlds (even Roa was weaker, according to the Edmond Dantes’ side story).
1. She's an elemental that's apparently very closely related to a true ancestor. Might as well be one lol. 2. Good question. I don't know what kinds of info they could get from her though.
Oh yeah I completely forgot about the Sirius light. Very odd. Either way, she should at least have the minimum information from cryptor meetings. I wonder if she can still access those meetings. I'm basically asking for an explanation on what Yu is as someone not very familiar with the nasuverse(I only watched the fate animes in addition to the game. Also watched kara no kyokai, but didn't really like it. More than likely because I tried to rush through it). Like you can tell me she's a "true ancestor", but I don't really know what that means. If you ask me to tell you what Yu is, based on what I could figure out, I'm just gonna say she's a magical vampire XD
@@ncheung4ncheung419 Magical vampire is a good simplified version of what a a True Ancestor is. They are, in itself, their own race. While Dead Apostles are vampires who were humans originally. There’s also Ghouls which, as most would expect, are just mindless slaves of the vampires. In short: Yu drinks blood, is more or less immortal, and is not human. Edit: reading her bond profile they do explain that she is not a True Ancestor as mages would know (the progeny of Crimson Moon), but rather she is “like” a True Ancestor. So... still a bloodsucker, just from a different origin and I don’t think she creates Dead Apostles either.
i summoned her since she was a crypter i mean she should know some info and stuff about the enemies plans right even though the game may not count it I mean honestly we learned some stuff at least I think but yeah shes hot too
Sadly, the story itself points to her always keeping her distance from all other humans, even the A Team members. So even as a Crypter, I don't think she was paying that much attention to what their plans were and just wanted to be left alone to deal with her Lostbelt. _(sorry, that plan ain't flying, but it was a good try)_
@@vader1481 And the funny thing? SHE PROBABLY WON'T CARE AT ALL! *YEEEEAAAAAH!!* _(in fact, she might even enjoy beating up Beryl, since she also seemed to despise him since day 1)_ :D
OOOOOH BOY! An alert to all who read my comment, I've been making many observations and points as I went watching the video. I enjoyed it very much, but I thought there were some bits of information that were either lacking or actually wrong from that the game presented us. So I kept writing them down, but as it turns out, the whole thing became a BIBLE! It is very long, so if you don't enjoy reading those, please feel free to just ignore this and move on! Cheers, mates! Best of luck to all your Rolls! ^_^ 1 - Minor correction at the beginning: Yu doesn't actually like sucking the blood of humans. Her Saber, Prince of Lanling, says so during the events of LB3. Yu _can_ do that and _has_ done that, but given she dislikes the idea, I'm guessing she only ever does that when she's in a pinch and with little to no way out. (like, freakin' I dunno, getting nearly killed or sealed off by Church Executors or something) 2 - Also, Prince of Lanling's death wasn't as simple as "he was poisoned by the Emperor's agent and Yu heard news of the event". He voluntarily accepted the order to drink the poisoned wine and Yu Miaoyi was RIGHT THERE at the event when it happened and it is Lanling's pleas that convince her to not go out and berserkingly kill all those responsible for his death. (also, it is here that she vows to one day reunite with him, should the day come where humans learns of a means to connect with the long dead) 3 - Yet another correction: Qin Shi Huang at first is indifferent towards Chaldea and it's "Hinako"/Yu who constantly pressures that they should be dealt with, so Qin *allows her* to try and deal with them. That's his first attitude, not "ordering her" to attack them. 4 - JESUS, there's yet another inconsistency in your explanation. Xiang Yu was NOT a human in normal Pan Human History either. In both there _and_ the Lostbelt, Xiang Yu was always a mechanical fabrication created by Zhenren sages. The difference is that the one in Pan Human History still possessed a human looking "chassis", a humanoid body, while in the Lostbelt, Qin Shi Huang decided to "upgrade" Xiang Yu (known in this world as Kuaiji Zero) and overtime that resulted in the monstrous centaur-like body that we see. But the matter of the fact is that _both_ the Pan Human and Lostbelt counterparts of Xiang Yu were "mechanical" to begin with. Yu mentions it to him when discussing their Pan Human History's past. How Xiang Yu had an inner programming to make him work for the ultimate goal of peace and the path and choices he made resulted in him becoming the nemesis of Liu Bang, the man who he calculated was best suited to become China's next emperor and lead to peace, but was not ready yet for the role. 5 - Yet another little detail: when "Hinako"/Yu is mortally wounded _(thanks Koyanskaya, I guess..._ ¬¬' _),_ it is Prince of Lanling who suggests she consumes his blood and spirit to replenish her strength and reawaken her dormant Elemental powers. This is where he tells her that he's aware she detests the idea of drinking blood, but he urges her to do so in order to fulfill her long-lasting desire to remain reunited with her beloved Xiang Yu, a dream she held onto for over two thousand years. That was the final push that convinced a hesitant "Hinako"/Yu to finally dig her fangs on her dying friend and consume his entire being as nourishment. Afterwards, all she had to do was keep replenishing her own power by drawing it from the World around her (something I imagine was easy to do, considering that the area they were in was basically surrounded by nature, even if it was all plantation). 6 - _Btw, she technically doesn't_ *have* _a Noble Phantasm yet. Her special attack is basically her strongest power taking the form of an explosion and a powerful curse upon humans. Something she can do_ *naturally.* A Noble Phantasm is more akin to an ability associated with a Heroic Spirit's lore. When it is not a weapon (like Fragarach), it is a trump card exclusive to the Heroic Spirit in question and one that is heavily associated with their lore. Some Servants though, like Archer EMIYA, don't actually have a Noble Phantasm per say, simply abilities that approach the same level or can function as their trump card. In EMIYA's case, his Reality Marble (Unlimited Blade Works) is more his inner world and represents how he "operates"/"functions" rather then be something associated with his lore, like Heracles' God Hand or Medea's Rule Breaker. Yu Miaoyi would fall into this category, her so labeled "Eternal Lament" being something more of a natural attack she can perform rather then a special trump card she needs to draw out from her lore. The thing is, at this point she is still a living Elemental, not a Heroic Spirit, so her Mana supply isn't limited to just what her body can hold and she can keep taking backup from the World so long as she is nearby nature, which at that moment she was. (also the huge fuel Prince of Lanling's Spirit Core gave her) It's not until she's summoned as a Servant (which canonically has yet to happen, outside of Events) that her ability to draw power from the World is limited and the usage of her attack becomes more restricted to how much Mana she naturally has and how much Ritsuka can provide her with. And thus, similar to EMIYA, her attack becomes somethign akin to her Noble Phantasm. (I'm sorry for going so long over this, but the nature of non-weapon Noble Phantasms can be easily forgotten due to how FGO labels all the special attacks of the Servants as "Noble Phantasms", mainly just to simplify things and not make them too complicated for the more casual audience) 7 - There's also another catch to Qin Shi Huang's proposal that Yu Miaoyi enter the Throne of Heroes. While the possibility with reuniting with Xiang Yu is what ultimately lead her to accept the idea, his first motivation was that Yu, being the only one to ever know the true story of Xiang Yu, would be taking this knowledge and legacy to be recorded on the Throne of Heroes as well, making sure Xiang Yu's true identity wouldn't be forgotten and misremembered as just a tyrant ruler who opposed Liu Bang. (which, as far as we know, could've resulted in the birth of an Innocent Monster, created from the beliefs humanity held of Xiang Yu) Just a minor addition I thought shouldn't go missing. ;) Qin Shi Huang sure has a way with words like nobody else.
I appreciate these details. It would have been easier to incorporate them had I waited for the Lostbelt to release rather than digging up what I could from JP translations. I wouldn't say what I wrote was wrong per say, but getting to read the Lostbelt myself after the fact did reveal more I could have added for clarity.
@@OtakuDaiKun Welp, we both learned our lessons with this Lostbelt, then. Prior to actually playing this, I was constantly refering to Yu-senpai as a "Zheren", believing some mistranslations that this was a species of Elemental similar to True Ancestors, but native to China. Only after reading the Lostbelt did I realize "Zheren" actually refers to the Sages who mastered the Sage Arts and were basically responsible for constructing Nezha's and Xiang Yu's bodies. Meanwhile, Yu-senpai's true "species" is never revealed and instead, many characters just call her whatever they can interpretate by seeing her. Da Vinci called her a True Ancestor, but I think Qin Shi Huang's nickname of "Fairy" fits more accurately. After all, she lacks the psychological thirst for blood typical of True Ancestors AND her mindset and mentality really is something completely different from humans. _(plus fairies are also classified as Phantasmals and/or Elementals)_ Oh well, from now on, I'm not taking anything as fact until it arrives to me! :) Good luck to your future Lore videos! This one was the very first of yours that I watched, but I enjoyed it quite a lot despite my cirticisms! 👍
Man, could someone help? I would like to enter the Fate world but from where do i star? i know that there are game but, what game to play? how begin in this universe? i mean, i´d like to enter and understand the story, the characters, and all about it, could someone help me?
Oof, hard question. Any place honestly. Just pick a particular part of the franchise and begin. Just stick to it properly though. For example, if you want to see the Stay Night stories, I would suggest Zero and then move over to UBW and Heaven’s Feel. Though you can also watch Apocrypha, or Last Encore, even the Kara no Kyoukai movies. Just pick a place and begin, there’s no starting point to be honest. It is intimidating at first but once you begin and if you enjoy it you will keep going on your own. I know a lot of people might scream that you should play the Stay Night and a Tsukihime Visual Novels over anything else, but I do understand that a Visual Novels are an acquired taste and not for everyone.
Depends on the type. True Ancestors are pretty busted vampires given they were made with the help of Crimson Moon, but aside from the OP Arcueid, I don't see the majority of them having an output that much different from what Senpai showed in her first boss fight. Dead Apostles vary a lot! In Fate Worlds, their power and influence is hella diminished, so I imagine they're much weaker then Senpai. In Tsukihime worlds, however, some managed to acquire a tremendous ammount of power, surpassing even their True Ancestor former masters. So your regular run of the mill Dead Apostle would probably be leagues weaker then Yu-senpai, but one of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors might actually be much stronger then her. (and I'm talking about the members who ARE Dead Apostles by nature, because that list oddly enough includes some oddities like Primate Murder and goddamn-ORT of all things!) If it's a more classical kind of vampire, like the ones Carmilla and "Dracula" are, I'm not sure. I don't think we ever dwelved very deeply into how powerful vampires of the "classical kind" really are, mostly because in the Nasuverse they're more fiction, only existing as an aspect of the Heroic Spirits associated with those legends. (while Dead Apostles are regarded as the "true" vampires) _PERSONALLY,_ I imagine they might be weaker then her, based solely on the fact we dealt with both Carmilla and Vlad many times over (both Main Story and Events) and there's never a mention of the battle being significantly difficult or having some special gimmick like possible risk of vampirization. Contrast to that, Yu-senpai's first boss fight showcased *_very clearly_* how a pissed off Elemental with access to the World's backup can be a living nightmare! _(so yeah, my vote is they're weaker then her)_ And those are my thoughts. What do you think?
Yu Miaoyi... she may despise, detest, and hatred us humans. But deep down Yu cannot hatred humans forever, but she wanted to understand fear or pain or other emotions. I'm surprised she possessed power Elemental: Earth. Let's just Yu will respect and understand us humans with great power and helping and saving Proper Humanity History.
Is the Miaoyi/Mei-ren change a language thing? By which I mean a Chinese language thing not a translation thing i.e. in one of China's two language it is Miaoyi and in the other Mei-ren.
According to her official materials, she doesn’t actually hate humans as life forms, but humans in their way of life that crushes everything beneath them. I’m guessing this is why she doesn’t classify as an avenger. AFAIK, there isn’t any confirmation on it.
@@omegajames2 True, but it makes sense. Otherwise, if she just hated humans for the sake of being humans, she wouldn't have befriended Prince of Lanling. I guess she really just hates their destructive growth and the prejudice with fear/hatred she gets when most humans find out about her true nature. Granted, she herself stayed isolated most of her life, so she might've still met some humans who wouldn't mind her at all, just didn't have the chance due to her distancing. For instance, I think Kirschtaria and Mash would've gotten along just fine with her kind of from the get go, even if they had learned she was an Elemental. (not so sure about the others, but maybe Peperoncino too)

I'm not sure I would like that, given the atrocities he's commited during life. Unless they find some way to make him likeable, Fate does seem to have a talent for that. (making tyrants somewhat charismatic and enjoyable)
So she's Dracula from Castlevania? Had a lover that died. Hated humanity. Wants to live in peace from humans. Edit: @Dai-kun 3:00 Sorry, I deleted my previous comment. When I said "just why" it was sort of a rhetorical question in regards to her getting angry at humanity for the death of her husband.
Almost, except Dracula became a sadistic Prince of Darkness that constantly plots the doom of humanity. (talking about the games, not the cartoon) At least on that regard, Yu-senpai doesn't go _that_ overboard until she sees Xiang Yu die for the second time. _(and even then, she's stopped from becoming a Vengeful Spirit by the madlad Qin Shi Huang)_
Dunno if we ever will. They emphasized that a Yu became a Heroic Spirit BECAUSE it guaranteed the Lostbelt’s Xiang Yu a spot. Apparently Xiang Yu is not a Heroic Spirit... probably a rank below one, like Kojirou.
@@lenleon3699 Actually, one of the reasons Yu-senpai entered the Thrones (as suggested by Qin Shi Huang) was that she knew *the true story* of the person named Xiang Yu, while the rest of Human History remembered/recored him as something different. So by going to the Throne of Heroes, she would be sharing the truth of his identity and intentions with the records engraved there. Xiang Yu was also mechanical in Pan Human History, but his "chassis" had not been altered to become the centaur-like creature we meet in LB3. He still had a very humanoid "shell" so to speak, so it _would_ be interesting if we got an Event where our summoned Xiang Yu managed to reacquire his more humanoid chassis, even if it is weaker for combat. _HMMMMmmmmm...!!_ 🤔 *Possible Santa Xiang Yu for JP's 2021 Christmas Event?*
@@OtakuDaiKun he couldn’t be a servant cause you have to die Chuck has death being afraid and his round house kick which is the kick that started the world
Personally i don't really like her character, she seems a bit to hypocritical at not only generalising all humans as the same (when it suits her own narrative), a common trope (even though she made at least 1 human good friend in her live) but also not admitting her own hubris that she basically sided with a alien invader that caused this whole mess and made us come after her to save our own timeline that she has betrayed/left just to get another shot at living with another world version of her loved one... Seems very selfish and very humanlike to me...(which is ironic since she hates humans for their behaviour). You reap what you sow?
I dunno. Her good friend (the prince) was forced to commit suicide by his own emperor, so all that experience does is remind her of how much humans suck. And of course she sided with the alien, she had nothing to lose and everything to gain. She knows why we are attacking her, she just wants us dead and gone, just like she wants the rest of the crypters to just kill each other off. She had kept the status quo to ensure no one would attack her in the meantime, which almost worked considering Chaldea was planning to ignore her Lostbelt and attack The Atlantic Ocean Lostbelt. If not for Koyanskaya we would have never even bothered to go to the Chinese LB.
@@OtakuDaiKun On the TYPE-MOON wiki, it gives the Romanji spelling of his name which is pretty much a rough way of how it’s pronounced. Just search “Wodime fate” and you should see the link.
@@ausarthevile2970 Ah, gotcha, but romanji doesn't necessarily represent how a name is pronounced in its native tongue, or even from a western perspective. For one, Japanese syllables are usually a consonant paired with a vowel. The language is incapable of ending a word with an 'm' sound by itself. Thus, we need to disregard the "meh" at the end. Unless I'm proven wrong by a different source, I'm fairly confident that "Woh-deem" is correct.
So I love the video. I'm a maaaaaaaaaaasive simp for Yu. However, your tone in this was... really difficult to listen to. You've done this in several if not all of the other videos I've seen, but your reaction videos, it's a lot more tame. This was really hard to listen to from.
That makes me sad. I've had people complain about the exact opposite so I don't know what people really want. I'm just using my voice and being myself so...
@@OtakuDaiKun Your voice itself is fine. It's how you annunciate some of your words. I know you have zero intention of coming off as pretentious--you genuinely come off as a good and likeable person. Am hoping for the post Lost Belt story arch of FGO lets us get Arcueid, after establishing, Shiki Ryouga, the Moon Cell, and Yu Miaoyi as common elements to Arcueid. More importantly, get dragged on an interlude to find Tohno so she can have her favorite meals by him again. A rank up quest, involving nobu styled Akiha and Kouhaku, and a second interlude of what kind of conversation would Yu and Arcueid share. (Bonus round, Chaldea edition of Scion somehow figuring out Arcueid's ties to the Hologram Summer version from her parallel timeline. Pipe dream, as lack of remake still remains.)
One thing to clarify after completing the lostbelt. Xiang Yu in Fate was never human. His lack of humanity is what allows him and Yu to fall in love.

Yu could have only summoned Lanling, considering that she is a walking summoning catalyst, knowing him in life and all.

Btw, Yu doesn't actually have a habit of reading, she was just using that as a facade to keep people away. So I don't imagine she's actually very literate and possibly wouldn't really hold much interest in it.
Not to mention, Sheherazade would probably have a heart attack just from the sheer terror of being close to a vampire. XD
I enjoy the love shared between Xiang Yu and Yu Miaoyi. Their deaths were quite tragic, and once again I feel guilt-ridden.
But if we summon them both, we can rectify that problem. ;) I have already summoned Senpai, now all I need is to either get spooked by her husband in some Banner or wait two years to use that Free SSR Ticket to get him. Either way, the couple is getting reunited! ^_^

(though I'll agree the buff on her 2nd Skill should've been made accessible _WAY EARLIER_ then it actually did)
Thirdly, True Ancestors are powerful, but not by THAT MUCH of a margin as most people think.
_(or did, until Roa screwed things up)_
People gotta remember that not all True Ancestors shared her level of power.
See Vtubers dangerous, it took me a solid second to realise it was not Inanis
i like her and bedivere
*Huh.*
You know, you made me think.
Man..I hope they added this art of fan servants.😎😍
Dammit, this LB made me seriously want Gucchan, but sorry, Miaoyi, Miyu is next month...
*Next month?* Wait, WHAT? The Prisma Cosmos Rerun is THAT EARLY?! D:
Khaaaaaan!!!
_That movie is simply timeless._ 👌
i summoned her since she was a crypter i mean she should know some info and stuff about the enemies plans right even though the game may not count it I mean honestly we learned some stuff at least I think but yeah shes hot too
Sadly, the story itself points to her always keeping her distance from all other humans, even the A Team members.
So even as a Crypter, I don't think she was paying that much attention to what their plans were and just wanted to be left alone to deal with her Lostbelt. _(sorry, that plan ain't flying, but it was a good try)_

Take your time. Life and mobile games don't always get along. I'm sorry for your loss.
1 - Minor correction at the beginning: Yu doesn't actually like sucking the blood of humans. Her Saber, Prince of Lanling, says so during the events of LB3. Yu _can_ do that and _has_ done that, but given she dislikes the idea, I'm guessing she only ever does that when she's in a pinch and with little to no way out. (like, freakin' I dunno, getting nearly killed or sealed off by Church Executors or something)
2 - Also, Prince of Lanling's death wasn't as simple as "he was poisoned by the Emperor's agent and Yu heard news of the event". He voluntarily accepted the order to drink the poisoned wine and Yu Miaoyi was RIGHT THERE at the event when it happened and it is Lanling's pleas that convince her to not go out and berserkingly kill all those responsible for his death. (also, it is here that she vows to one day reunite with him, should the day come where humans learns of a means to connect with the long dead)
3 - Yet another correction: Qin Shi Huang at first is indifferent towards Chaldea and it's "Hinako"/Yu who constantly pressures that they should be dealt with, so Qin *allows her* to try and deal with them.
Something she can do_ *naturally.*
A Noble Phantasm is more akin to an ability associated with a Heroic Spirit's lore.
(also the huge fuel Prince of Lanling's Spirit Core gave her)
It's not until she's summoned as a Servant (which canonically has yet to happen, outside of Events) that her ability to draw power from the World is limited and the usage of her attack becomes more restricted to how much Mana she naturally has and how much Ritsuka can provide her with. And thus, similar to EMIYA, her attack becomes somethign akin to her Noble Phantasm.
(I'm sorry for going so long over this, but the nature of non-weapon Noble Phantasms can be easily forgotten due to how FGO labels all the special attacks of the Servants as "Noble Phantasms", mainly just to simplify things and not make them too complicated for the more casual audience)
7 - There's also another catch to Qin Shi Huang's proposal that Yu Miaoyi enter the Throne of Heroes.
(which, as far as we know, could've resulted in the birth of an Innocent Monster, created from the beliefs humanity held of Xiang Yu)
Just a minor addition I thought shouldn't go missing. ;) Qin Shi Huang sure has a way with words like nobody else.
_(plus fairies are also classified as Phantasmals and/or Elementals)_
Oh well, from now on, I'm not taking anything as fact until it arrives to me! :)
Good luck to your future Lore videos!
I made a video on this exact topic! ^^. It's the very first vid in my Type Moon playlist. It tells you everything you need to know.
Since Yu is an Elemental, does that make her much more powerful than a traditional vampire?
Depends. True Ancestors are already like super vampires lol
(and I'm talking about the members who ARE Dead Apostles by nature, because that list oddly enough includes some oddities like Primate Murder and goddamn-ORT of all things!)
If it's a more classical kind of vampire, like the ones Carmilla and "Dracula" are, I'm not sure. I don't think we ever dwelved very deeply into how powerful vampires of the "classical kind" really are, mostly because in the Nasuverse they're more fiction, only existing as an aspect of the Heroic Spirits associated with those legends. (while Dead Apostles are regarded as the "true" vampires)
_PERSONALLY,_ I imagine they might be weaker then her, based solely on the fact we dealt with both Carmilla and Vlad many times over (both Main Story and Events) and there's never a mention of the battle being significantly difficult or having some special gimmick like possible risk of vampirization. Contrast to that, Yu-senpai's first boss fight showcased *_very clearly_* how a pissed off Elemental with access to the World's backup can be a living nightmare! _(so yeah, my vote is they're weaker then her)_
And those are my thoughts. What do you think?
Did you get her daikun on your rolls
I did! She ate 150 sq but I got her and Qin Shi Huang snuck into the same 10 roll.
Np2 yu came for me and suzaka
The 2nd I heard she was placed in team ah the 1st thing that blurted out of my mouth was Oh god
I was thinking that too. Heck the Dynasty Warriors games have different names between languages such as Zhuge Liang for us but Kongming for others.
It very well could be a translation thing. Not on aniplex's end but from a historical standpoint where both names are valid.
Making some obscure historical figure a vampire 🤔
Why is she manifested as an assassin when her lore has all the makings of an avenger?
That's a good question. I don't have confirmation but she could have served as an assassin under Xiang Yu.
(talking about the games, not the cartoon)
At least on that regard, Yu-senpai doesn't go _that_ overboard until she sees Xiang Yu die for the second time. _(and even then, she's stopped from becoming a Vengeful Spirit by the madlad Qin Shi Huang)_
So.....
Humanoid True Xiang Yu when?

@@OtakuDaiKun
On the TYPE-MOON wiki, it gives the Romanji spelling of his name which is pretty much a rough way of how it’s pronounced.
