I don't know who I dislike more, the companies who make millions of dollars using false advertising or the people sueing for millions of dollars because their mass produced candy wasn't as cute as expected.
The lawyers will take the lions share of any settlement money these mental giants win. I am guessing they would be better off getting a refund. This is your biggest disappointment?

I think people that sue because they think the looks of food matters need to be forced to spend a week in the woods and only eat what they can, hunt, fish, and scaverage, then we will see they think how the looks of food really matters.

We can choose to not buy a product again for various reasons, including not meeting our expectations. That woman should only be "awarded" a refund. Next she'll sue Hershey for making her gain too much weight.

This is a class action law suit, she won't be awarded the 5 million all to just her. Anyone who takes place in the lawsuit will likely just receive the cost of the Reese's.

@@MsHojatThere's a pretty big difference between a car and candy. The candy does actually work as advertised, because it's edible, it tastes the way it's advertised, and it doesn't make you sick.

It's ridiculous for this lady to sue over candy. It's only a shape of a pumpkin, Skull, Christmas tree (ETC) I'm pretty sure she also wants the Reese's be bitten as well. If she wants a candy that has a design go for chocolate molds or make her own chocolate. Simple and easy
I bought some of those too. Now that there’s a class action lawsuit, and I’m suddenly enraged and have the overwhelming feeling of being wronged. I too expected a perfectly carved face on my pumpkin Reese’s. I hereby join the class action suit. How much do I get? It could take millions of dollars for me to recover from this. It's edible, tastes the way advertised, and doesn't make you sick. That's all it's supposed to do. Actual false advertising would be saying it tastes like peanut butter and chocolate, when the candy inside tastes like chocolate and mint.

When i was in grad school, we did a side project on ******** blueberry pancakes that just recently advertised, "now with real blueberries." We calculated it took them 4 times the cost to duplicate dehydrated berries, so they defaulted to a cheap sealed can of berries. Industries are stupid and i rarely buy fast food, its all junk and packed w/ preservatives and salt.
They don’t deserve any money, this suite should only be about Hersey making changes to either their product or packaging. This lady just wants to retire off Hershey.

Absolutely ridiculous and frivolous. Of course, she would have bought the Reese's regardless of how it looked!!! Who can resist them? I guarantee she wasn't going to put out a tray of unwrapped candies so everyone could marvel at the faces. If I were told that the pumpkin was handcarved and rather than $1 it would cost $5, I'd think twice about it.

This is interesting. When I was visiting Hershey in October I noticed some of the packages stated the product may not look like the picture. I thought it was oddly unnecessary but maybe they're admitting wrongdoing by adding that statement??

In Japan, you'll get exactly what you see on the package. On top of that, the product inside the package also match the size of the picture outside the package too. Talk about picture perfect. 👍🏻
Their packaging tends to be very kawaii (appealing in an endearing way; cute). I shop at an Asian food store and I can usually tell which products are from Japan because of the cute packaging... which usually comes home with me. 😉
