Either they become an unparalleled genius that advances humanity, or with one wrong "character development" arc, a villain that'll finish the humanity. Either way its all good

5:20 that's the problem Rae. That's the difference between a "smart" person and a non-smart person. A smart person sees a really hard challenge and thinks "wow that's really hard. I'm going to need to take a lot of time to slowly and painfully get good at this", whereas a "not-smart" person just decides they can't do it. And you can't do it *because* you decide you can't.
Every single skill is nothing but time and determination. It's hard and you'll mess up. And some things will come more naturally to you. But if you are a base level of intelligent, you can pick up any skill you want in a matter of time if you are disciplined and consistent.
It's not that you can't do it, it's that you don't actually want to do what it takes to do it. Michael didn't just come out of the womb with coding knowledge, he learned it over years. And it wasn't always easy. So it bothers me when people just say "I could never" or "I wish I could". Don't wish you could, just start the process of doing it, or admit you could, but you don't see the utility in the journey.

"Did he have them sign a waver or something?" She clearly has never seen an I Did a Thing video (or any of the other guys) which should be a crime.
What she doesn't account for is that "cool talented people" are likely talented because they pursued something they're passionate about, and will have enough foresight to know that having a child would be an obstacle in numerous ways to pursuing those passions. There's definitely some people whose passions are more compatible with having a kid, but I don't think Michael or Lily are in that category.
I just feel like Michael and Lily's child is gonna be super fucking depressed due to the immense amount of brain power.
