‘Tell Me Something Good’ sees the Scottish DJ/producer cover Rufus & Chaka Khan’s 70s jam of the same name, twisting catchy vocals and huge synth stabs into an ecstatic peak time club weapon. ‘Delta’ brings the tempo down, but keeps the energy levels high as piano chords drift effortlessly across a chugging breakbeat and rolling basslines, making for a feel-good closing track to another standout release from Trick.
thanks for the kind words everyone ❤️❤️❤️
That's proper class mate 👏 Love the beat and samples 🕺💯

Met this lad on a plane and he's sound, told me he had a tune in the charts...checked it out and it's freaking awesome. Colour me impressed! 😛
haha
Can’t be that sound if he doesn’t explain it’s not his tune. It’s just a remix of a Stevie Wonder song...
@@nat1baby like 90% of dance tracks? Remixed to keep them alive and reignite good music? Pointless comment. If you had anything about you, you would of mixed it and made some money.....

@@mentalmidget1960 YOU WOULD BE OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE HEARD THE ORIGINAL THEN. RUFUS AND CHAKA KHAN WRITTEN BY STEVI WONDER IN 1974. All Ewan did was rip it off and make a fortune out of other peoples talent.
Let us thank the talented genius' Chaka Khan and Rufus for even making this song possible!
You know? I thought these lyrics sounded somewhat familiar 🤔!!

Brill tune, takes me right back to the 90s, sub club, Tin Pan Alley, TheTunnel, 1990 clubs opened till 5.00 am then the raves underground at the old kelvinhall tunnels amazing.
Keep them coming Ewan 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
90s with some old skool disco thrown in! Fucking beauty!
Definitely an all nighter vibe loving this!
Jules D...all great clubs you've mentioned. I was a Circa boy back in the day, start in Carneages and head to Circa. Good times 🙌🏽
Heard this in Liverpool Sunday night and it was loud, absolute banger shaking the floor with me on it bassline is the best I've heard since 1999.
That bassline reminds me of Groove Armada - I See You Baby. So many 90's sounds in this song. Highly infections and addictive. Love it!! :)
Scouse tune 100%
I love how the drums dont even come in till half way through and I didnt even realize they were missing in the first place.... Banger!!!! A+++
I'm 27 my parents are late 40s and we all bounce to this breaking more than records breaking boundaries baby
Simply excellent tunage which unapologetically sounds like it could have been lifted straight out of a De Vit set circa 96 without any compromises! Everything from the Khan vocals, the major key Stab (very reminiscent of Future by Mr Monday) and the oh so Belgian Techno-esque drone hovering in the background all come together to create an energy of pure, unapologetic fun and chaos! So many current producers are churning out utter cheese (yes, they're using the 130bpm breakbeat + piano formula of 91/2 rave but there's something still too sadly "new" about all of that fodder). THIS one, on the other hand, perfectly illustrates the very sound of mid 90s Hardbag at the precise time it was mutating into UK Hard House / nu nrg (from the tempo to the timbres) without giving any undeserved leeway to the preppy, entitled tastes of Generation Love Island. As it should be! Amazing work, kudos for giving real, undergoing dance a tremendous resuscitation. You've started something real here, let's hope it's the sound of 2022 Summer of Love!
This was on trade records 😇
Couldn’t have summed it up better!
@ewan mcvicar was this the comment you mentioned on Capital Dance the other day?
Was?
As a 40 year old that’s just stumbled across this tune on Twitter……buzzin mate, takes me right back to my teens listening to rave tapes in my bedroom. Top tune 🤌🏻

I'm 41 and single for the first time in 15 years, been loving this tune the last few weeks in the pubs in Grimsby, gonna enjoy my mid life crisis for the next year or so..........
Tell Me Something Good" is a song by Rufus and Chaka Khan, written by Stevie Wonder and released in 1974. The single was a hit in the United States, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent one week at number one on the Cash Box Top 100.[2] It was among the earliest hits to use the guitar talk box, by Tony Maiden... If you like the SONG, thank Stevie. If you like the MIX, thank this guy.
This comment, finally. I was hoping everyone knew that this is a sample, but the top comments didn’t seem like that lol ❤ Chaka Khan forever!
Stop your critiquing. It was dead and forgotten about until this remix reworked and revitalised it. Well done that man.
OMG...I'm 56 and LOVE it!!! It makes me dance and drive at full sound! Thank you!
Wow! Love it! That sound, that vibe. Such a strong and pure CLUB sound. Bringing back that early 80's sound with a hint of early 90's. What a fantastic combination. Just when I was really needing to hear some fresh new sounds. The dance/club scene needs a new sound. This is it!
Thank you!!
I remember circa, wow feeling so old some people i knew went to peggy sues , couldnt beat the arches sunday nights i never used to get home till monday afternoon still hear the tunes in my head and then thursday would come and you be back out again for four days in a row xx
Heard this song several times on the radio last week, looked it up on youtube to see what people thought of it, good to see many got real enjoyment out of it!
Me, I feel more disconnected than ever from everyone
Banger of the year !!!!!!
I'm concerned by the dislikes...?? I'm a massive Chaka (and Rufus) fan..if you don't like it I'm sure young Ewan would appreciate positive feedback? Tbh...personal opinion....it's a vibe and the remix is upholding the original in a truly professional style. 🤔🙌💋
The people that disliked this don’t know what good music is 💃🏻
Very pleasing for the 90s kids among us.
