3:22 Hey guys, should Doc mispronounce a name, there's no shame in immediately correcting him, or even better still, Doc, why not make a funny noise when you sense that you are about to incorrectly say a word. This will serve as a clue for the others to come to the rescue.
6:36 Chris, I believe you provided an adequate overview of the show and have connected all the dots really well. Not sure if I mentioned it or not but your microphone looks f--king hot! Actually, I have a ASUS Rogue laptop and the key board lights up red whenever ya type, which is super cool when you're in a dark room.
7:36 Jeff, I dig your shirt bro. It makes you look younger, as in a lover of romance. Good of you to watch the film twice so as to provide a more in-depth review. It shows that you care. You're right, the movie showed some genuine scary crap. Now in regards of the ‘twist’ that everybody saw, I didn't stare at it, or I couldn't keep my eyes fixed on it. The fear was too intense. Plus I am sober for this one.
9:08 Yea! You hit all the chords with precision. Thanks Crystal. By the way, you have the best background in your studio room. It's so wicked in fact. Lots of detail to attention too. There's a lot of stuff and yet it doesn't look over crowded or messy. It’s most aesthetically pleasing. You certainly have a woman’s touch, in all the right connotations.
12:24 Uber Creepy! Ha ha! That was priceless Dave. Great energy by the way. One might be tempted to put leather over you to keep you still and in a fixed position. ;)
13:50 Right on Doc. I'm going to have to watch this again. Thanks for making that clear. Will do that later the week and return to watch the rest.
    Keep it gruesome,
    Jason

Wow thank you Jason! This I’d such a thought out and wonderful comment! I’m so glad you enjoyed the review. They’re actually doing another showing of this with a Q&A and intro next week. I might need to check it out again at the theater! ❤

Can you mention what part was the "jump the shark" moment with respect to special effects? Was it the "electricity" and lit up split head thing toward the end? It was kooky but didn't take me out of the film so much that it was ruined (a couple of people have really complained). I found the ending to be very lackluster because I feel like they rushed it. I was fully expecting where it went to a point, but at the same time, the very end was a bit predictable but not a bad idea. I just expected much better execution and fleshing out of the reason for everything (we know what it was but the way it is presented just didn't do it justice). I guess you have given me a better perspective on the actress' performance of Lily. I thought she was okay, but maybe I am being overly critical. I feel like the actress that portrayed Dr. June Ross-Mitchell was great. There were some great practical effects (and one that was a bit shocking because of the timing). As someone of that time, I was a little underwhelmed by the presentation, but not overly so. I think they could have done a bit better job but overall did a nice job to bring you to that time period. What it does best: The talk show itself was great. I loved the feeling of watching a full talk show from beginning to end - and the "commercial breaks". One complained that being B&W in between brought them out of it - that was not the case for me; I loved it. The middle of the film. I thought it started out very roughly with Christou. The timing of either the performer or David or the direction/pacing was very off. However, more into it, it was compelling and I was completely engrossed in the story and the presentation. I loved the element of The Grove (very 70s) but I wished they incorporated it even more, especially because of the ending. I will say I was not expecting how Lily was acting to be the choice - I felt like she would be more like Linda Blair's Regan - a total passenger; however, Lily is NOT. She is along for the ride in a very weird way. I was very unsettled by her.

Jump the shark? Yeah, likely the "split head" moment. (or, possibly, the whole trippy part of the ending)
Unsettling is a good way to describe Lily. (Very different than Regan, thankfully)
