Watching with my 5yr old which is our usual wake up routine. Around the 13 minute mark the video speeds up. She asks me why is Laura going so fast. I tell her that they are speeding up the video so it doesn't get too long or boring. She responds, "Well, it doesn't get boring to me." So sweet. We all love the videos.

I found a lot of plants growing out of my compost pile! Amazing what the day brings. I grow dahlias so am going to do a lot of pinching. It does make a difference! Many are used at weddings and tubers go to friends who are amazed at the blessing given from an ugly old tuber. Thankyou for giving us such easy to follow instructions. You are helping me to be a bit more organized. I am so anxious to get out and garden. We are having cool weather with rain on and off here in the Pacific Northwest. Being patient is so hard. Until I can get out and garden, I am watching you show me some better and successful ways to garden. Thank you so much. Have fun today....

Laura, your videos have impacted me in more ways than I could ever have imagined. I have added several raised beds to my back yard, added many of your floral mentions both annuals and perennials (dahlias were a big hit last year, this year dinner-plate dahlias awaiting their appearances in the planters. I am so looking forward to harvesting my many vegetables and fruits from my trees, Anna Apple, Peaches, Pomegranates, Persimmons, Black Cherry & Pear. I also have a Tilton Apricot tree on the way to plant. My fig tree did not make it, so the Apricot will take its place. Since my peach tree is loaded this year with fruit forming, did you mention in a previous video that it is a good thing to thin out the fruit on trees to better manage the quality of fruit provided? I can't remember. I watch so many of your videos, they tend to blend into one another in my memory. I value all your advice and have incorporated many of your suggestions over the years. We eat healthier because of your videos. Thank you, your family, your parents, Benjamin, Samantha Grace, Russell, Cheddar, your sister for her work ethic (amazing girl). Your dad never hesitates to give good advice over the phone when questions asked. Your entire family circle is a blessing. Thanks for all you do for gardeners everywhere. Looking forward to seeing the garden developments around the Hartley.

I have a Koi pond in my closed in porch. I use a space heater that keeps it about 55* in there over the winter. Last summer I put a yellow and an orange Canna lily in my water fall to the pond. I was pleasantly surprised that they were in bloom all winter. A couple months ago I cut them back to one foot tall because they grew about 5-6 feet tall and were flopping. Now I have 2 yellow bloom stalks and an orange one about to open. Great year round indoors. White yarrow grows wild in my NY. garden but I treat it as a weed.

Laura, have you considered solar panels for your operation? Especially for heating the green house. I love all you do!

Just a thought, but a couple garden cams would be awesome. Like live stream of just certain areas out in the garden.

Good morning garden friends! I have Peter cotton tail yarrow that is THRIVING here in southern almost central California zone 10a! If you live in a warmer zone, I say go for it! There are a lot of plants that plant companies say we can’t or shouldn’t grow, but I always try and I’m glad I did! They do seed themselves around a little bit, not too bad though. 💛

I’m in coastal 10a and find almost all zone 9 and even some zone 8 plants do just fine here. Don’t be afraid to try.

I’m rewatching your videos from two years ago for the new property and came across the video of you using Land and Sea for the first time! It’s crazy how far we’ve come (and by we I mean you but I’m invested!)

So excited that my Canna's are sprouting up this year! I watched some of your old videos on how to pull the rhizomes in the fall, store and repot for the following year. I want some of those Cleopatras to add more color. Thanks Laura!
