Thanks for sharing the techniques that you have spent many hours developing I have been building rods for almost 50 years and marbling for about 6 years I have seen what you have done on flat surfaces but never on a rod once again thanks for sharing your techniques with us
Glad you enjoyed it. Im actually brand new to rod building but have done quite a few ocean wave projects.
Most beautiful marbling ive seen yet. Thank you!!!
Thanks so much 😊
That looks Epic
Great result
Thank you Cheers!
This is fantastic!!! Awesome work!
Thank you very much. Next one is even better. Ocean wave with a sea turtle theme. Video will be out on Sat
Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
I like that that was a good job
Wow.. Thanks for a great video. Haven't done any marbling yet but I'm refurbishing some old fishing rods. Think I'll start with something simple and when I've got more experience will give the waves ago. Thanks again and I've subscribed 😎😎
That is cool - very slick idea.
Great job carl. Love rhe fishing rod.👏 👍 👌 im calling you carl now cus you sound exactly like my gpa. 😂😂
I have answered to many names in my lifetime but never Carl LOL. Glad you enjoyed the video!!
Hey used the mudhole epoxy and it came out great
Great to hear!
Hey Carl, great looking rod mate. I'm doing an 8-foot rod similar to your style, although not in a wave action. I've gone for a white over the top of 2 tones of blue pearl, with scattered gold flecks along the whole blank. I'm looking for a cracked granite and marble effect. It's a long process but the result looks pretty cool so far. Keep up the good work. Chris from Australia
This Looks great. How you would proceed on a white Glassblank? Kindely
Im not really sure but guess you would have to add a base coat of brown to act as the sand . Let it dry and then do the waves as in the video. Only ting I would have to think about is the transisition from the brown to the white rod. Would probably do a thread wrap to match the guide wrap.
@@DIYeasycrafts thx. Probably i will act without sand. Just Marine Blue, green, Turquise and white. Thats my idea.
very nice
Thanks
I dont know hiw all your colors didnt just blend together overnight. Ive done 5 rods and they always blend. Im going to let my base coat thicken a little this time befire adding my detail. This was a beautiful video and result. Thank you!
Sorry to hear that. What type of resin did you use?
@@DIYeasycrafts Ive just been using the ProKote epoxy mixed with their marbling powder.
