The thing I love the most about Decisive Battle is that it IS a heroic THEME, but it's reluctant. It's like the hero is not sure if he can really win. There are surges in courage and downfalls in doubt.
True! I personally love the composition of it: climbing horns, smooth strings, and screaming trumpets don’t sound like they work together, but they do. A very tense and thrilling piece indeed.
Yes, I have seen it, but end of evangelion should be considered as an alternative ending. The director of EVA said himself, that the ending he prefers is in the tv series.
Even to those who don't like watching anime, I would still recommend to watch Evangelion just for the sake of listening to its sublime, truly amazing and epic music!
5t3r3054x like fr. My friends be watching yuri on ice and I'm just like "neon genesis evangelion bitches" I love the anime even the I am pretty far away from that era but the end of evangelion was pretty fucked up. stupid shinji can you like not be a pussy. you could have saved the world
@That shiny Umbreon but isn't that where the fun comes from? Seeing your friend happy one day then seeing them come back with an existential crisis and knowing full well what they're feeling and why
Lots of reasons, too many. If someone had just explained to Shinji what happened while he was in the Eva and the situation they were in from the get-go, instead of strapping a death collar on his neck and treating him like garbage for reasons he couldn't possibly understand, he probably would have stayed with them. Shinji's the only one with any focus or development, and even that just amounts to putting him through such hell that by the end he's so beaten down he literally can't move.
The evangelion 1.0,2.0,3.0,(4.0) were intended to be taken as a "same but different" storyline. Although I personally didn't favor 3.0 as much as the others, it brings high hopes for the ending (4.0)
I do hope my old Laserdisc player still works long enough to rip this to digital: it has never be released in any other video format so far as I can tell (the CD is still available though).
Esto debería repetirse por todo el mundo, vendería mis organos por presenciar esto. Van años que añoro eso.. desde que ví estos vídeos hace ya bastante.
I'd pay so much money to see and hear this live! This was my childhood. The Japanese really excel at creating post-utopia animes because of their own history with nuclear war and natural disasters. So many important human topics were covered in depth: depression, friendship, betrayal, troubled relationships with parents, overcoming personal fears, having the courage to fight for something bigger than yourself.
he did the music for the incredibles the medal of honor and original call of duty, up, the new star trek movie basically if you want to set a mood especially one of epic he is your man. I also forgot richard rogers and robert russel bennet for their work on the victory at sea series. there is a lot of music of this quality out their. you just have to look.
@Berkan Umit Agreed. Hiroyuki Sawano made Attack on Titan's, Kill la Kill's and Guilty Crown's soundtracks, among many others. I thoroughly recommend giving his pieces a listen.
@@moonong2347 It's kinda not though. Mainly because it's like they hit the "make music" button on a computer and hired the same singer to do the vocals. When everything sounds like SAO there's a problem. The more orchestrated stuff has a clear purpose with thought behind it when it comes to how it's used, when it's used, and why it's used. The difference in "goodness" comes down to how the music improves the art. Sometimes yea, you just need some blood pumping music. But when every anime does it. It's not special anymore.
Que estupendo video, desde la primera vez que vi evangelion me gusto su banda sonora pero nunca me imagine que fuera tan grande y fabulosa, mil gracias amigo!!!!!
Hmm interesting. I mean, I wasn't saying that there aren't composers out there with quality music that is not overrated, it's just that listening to Shiro Sagisu's music provides a whole different experience with music than I'm used to. So that's why I love the Eva soundtrack so much.
Scarlett Pheonix I'm not over analyzing anything, I'm making fun of your grammatical error. "Found" is already the past form of "find". "Founded" is not related to that verb in any kind of way, it means "Established".
Okay, fair enough. Eva fans are very particular about the way they like it. They did keep things pretty much canon for the first movie, but the second movie diverged quite a bit. 3.0 went way off the rails. The new pilot is basically ALL fanservice, so that's not great. A commentary on the fetishization of Asuka and Rei? I dunno. Most of the really good Shinji and Kaworu scenes are based on character interaction rather than actually advancing the new plot line. Those scenes are great.
todas y absolutamente todas las melodias de esta serie son magnifica e insuperables, pionera en su género y todavía reconocida en el mundo como la merjor serie anime!

Thank you kind stranger!
Where is the reward for those who do this good work?
The thing I love the most about Decisive Battle is that it IS a heroic THEME, but it's reluctant. It's like the hero is not sure if he can really win. There are surges in courage and downfalls in doubt.

My thoughts exactly!
it truly is, a decisive battle
...And then, everyone who whatched this video felt a sudden urge to watch Evangelion.
True fans have watched the tv series and the rebuild version afterwards^^
Kirigaya Kazuto do you even end of evangelion?
Yes, I have seen it, but end of evangelion should be considered as an alternative ending. The director of EVA said himself, that the ending he prefers is in the tv series.
Kirigaya Kazuto
and inbetween "the end of evangelion" (and Death:Rebirth)

He gave them the choice to become happy soup or people once again
i kind of feel like nge is very much not for those who don't like anime

Shiro Sagisu, such a composer
The funny thing is that he ripped it off!
John Barry is the original composer.
He wasn't.
